    : This study aimed to determine the teacher's pedagogical competence in lesson planning, learning process, and in improving students' motivation. To achieve these objectives, this study used descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through interview, observation, and documentation. The procedures of data analysis were data reduction data display and data verification. The subjects of this study were the principal, vice-principals and teachers. The results showed that: (1) the teachers' pedagogical competence in lesson planning was done by preparing a lesson plan draft, but some teachers did not bring the lesson plan during the learning process so that the learning objectives were not maximally achieved; (2) the teachers' pedagogical competence in the learning process was done by comprehending and solidifying the understanding on a number of learning materials contained in textbooks. Whereas in the learning process, there were for classroom management and undisciplined use of time: and (3) the teachers' pedagogical competence in improving student motivation was done by providing opportunities for students to be actively involved in the use of information and coomunication technology facilities in the achievementof learning goals, communicating effectively with learners, and conducting reflectieve action to improve the quality of learning

    : The school supervisor is one of the elements that have an important role in improving the quality of education through an increase in the ability of school personnel working in the management of the school administration. This study aimed to get an idea of the implementation of managerial supervision on Private High School Banda Aceh. By using descriptive research methods, qualitative approach, and data collection techniques such of observation, interviews and documentation. Research subjects to the school supervisors, headmaster, and staff at private high school in Banda Aceh. The results of research have been analyzed qualitatively show that: The school supervisors has prepared supervision program together at the beginning of the school year, coordinated by the Supervisory Coordinator, organized program assessment results-oriented, monitoring and coaching from previous year. Managerial supervision carried out by applying a procedure that starts with pre supervision activities through coordination and socialization to target schools (sekolah binaan). Furthermore, the scope of supervision is started with the performance appraisal headmaster, teachers and educational staff focused on the management of the school administration. Monitoring activities are directed at the implementation of eight National Education Standards (NES). While development activities directed to school management in order to work in accordance with their duties and functions. Obstacles of implementation managerial supervision is supervisors\u27s own self and from the field, namely: supervisors has not been uniform level of understanding, number of supervisors is not comparable with the number of schools that fostered. Obstacles in the field, namely; number of administrative staff of the school is not sufficient. Based on the research results, it is suggested that the implementation of managerial supervision implemented more intensively to improve job skills

    : Organizational climate and job satisfaction is one of the factors that affect the performance of the teacher. The level of teacher performance related to organizational climate and job satisfaction of teachers in performing their duties. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of organizational climate on teacher performance, to determine the effect of job satisfaction on teacher performance and to determine the effect of organizational climate and job satisfaction on the performance of teachers. The method used in this study are correlational survey, while data collection used questionnaires to variable organizational climate, job satisfaction and performance of teachers in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Lhokseumawe. The sampling technique is stratified random sampling of 51 respondents. The results of this study it can be concluded that the organizational climate is directly significant effect on the level of teacher performance. The amount of direct influence of organizational climate on teacher performance is (0.7401> 0.2759) = 55%. Job satisfaction is directly significant effect on the level of teacher performance. The amount of job satisfaction directly influences the performance of teachers is (0.7192> 2.759) = 51.73%. Organizational climate and job satisfaction jointly direct and significant impact on the level of teacher performance. The magnitude of the effect of organizational climate and job satisfaction together with the teacher's performance in school is (0.7994> 0.2759) = 63.9% theoretical The model developed in this study turned out to have been tested empirically on a junior secondary school in Lhokseumawe at significant level, meaning an empirical model of organizational climate and job satisfaction can be received as a model teacher performance

    : Evaluation of curriculum is important to know the achievements of the program implemented, implementation, monitoring and supporting the implementation of SBC factors. This study aimed to describe the data on the evaluation of the implementation of curriculum in 67 public primary schools in Banda Aceh. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. Data was collected through interviews, observation and documentation as well as filling a questionnaire study. Data analysis techniques such as data reduction, data display and conclusion. Subjects in this study were principals, vice-principals, and teachers. the conclusion is: (1) Content Document 1 curriculum according to the guidelines but still lacking an explanation of life skills education, education-based local and global. Syllabus and RPP was adopted from examples issued by the National Education Standards, but most of the teachers have been adapted according to the conditions of the school. Syllabus and RPP are still weak in terms of withdrawal indicators and assessment as well as low-grade lesson plan is not thematic. (2) Implementation of SBC Document 1 is in accordance with the plan, but in self-development activities there is little difference for not conducting counseling. Implementation has not been fully based learning lesson plans. Low-grade teacher is not using a thematic approach. Teachers in core activities already conducting exploration activities, elaboration and confirmation as well as carry out the grip so that the students active and creative, but there is still a small proportion of teachers who have not been able to do well. Teachers already use a variety of media and learning resources, but there is still a small fraction of teachers who have not used it. Teachers at the preliminary event does not convey the purpose, benefits, coverage of materials and learning strategies, and the cover does not carry out the activities of reflection. Teachers in implementing learning assessment still shortcomings, such as is found to be less variability assessment technique, lack of due indicators to the basic competencies and the assessment techniques used and the results of the assessment has not been used as a follow-up plan. (3) Supervisors and principals have oversight of curriculum through supervision activities are done once a year. (4) The availability of a complete infrastructure, support parents, and principals, high student motivation, and cooperation among teachers is supportive of curriculum implementation and the weak ability of teachers in planning thematic lesson plans, thematic application and design instructional materials and assessment , is a barrier in the application of the SBC

    Pengelolaan perpustakaan digital di sekolah, harus memperhatikan pentingnya kualitas pelayanan sebagai kriteria untuk menjamin pengguna layanan agar terus-menerus menjadikan perpustakaan digital sebagai sumber pencarian informasi, buku-buku elektronik sekolah dan dokumen digital lain. Yang terjadi pada saat ini, pengembangan dan pengelolaan perpustakaan digital belum menjamin adanya kualitas layanan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas layanan perpustakaan digital. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan tujuan mendeskripsikan kualitas pelayanan perpustakaan digital. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan untuk pengumpulan data penelitian adalah pedoman wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengelolaan perpustakaan digital di SMA Negeri 2 Banda Aceh pada saat ini belum di kelola sesuai dengan kriteria kualitas layanan. Pengembangan dan pengelolaan perpustakaan digital tersebut disarankan agar memperhatikan sumber daya manusia sebagai pengelola, sehingga dapat menjamin adanya kualitas pelayanan pada perpustakaan digital sekolah

    : Creativity is a key of successful teaching that oriented to the effectiveness of learning process, the achievement of leaning goals, and the optimal education. This study aimed to observe the process of developing teaching materials done by the teachers in learning process in Jeumala Amal Islamic Senior High School of Lueng Putu, where the conceptual teaching materials was a supportive facility in optimizing the learning and education process to achieve the goals expected. To achieve the aim, this study used qualitative approach. Techniques of data collection used were interview, observation, and documentation study. Subjects of this study were principal, vice principal, and teachers. The results of the study described that (1) the teachers tended to have creativity to develop teaching materials in learning process of Islamic Education (PAI) in Jeumala Amal Islamic Senior High School of Lueng Putu. The creativity could be seen from the variation of teaching materials developed, which came from teachers' own creativity, school library, bookstore, related department's aid, or websites. The teaching materials used with their various intensity of use and quality included books, pictures, brochures, mock-up, cassette, and CD; and (2) the effort done by the teachers in developing teaching materials were trying to design and be creative to produce and use teaching materials needed based on the material and sub-material of PAI scope

    : School-based management is school management system that gives the school the authority and power to regulate school in accordance with school\u27s potential, demand and the need. This research aimed to find out principal\u27s leadership in improving the quality of education, implementation, and obstacles faced in implementing school-based management. To achieve these objectives, this research employed qualitative approach. Data was collected through interview, observation, and documentation study. The procedures of data analysis were data reduction, data display, and verification. The research subjects were principal, vice-principal, and teachers. The results showed that; (1) principal leadership in improving the quality of education was implemented by adjusting the policy rules and school\u27s objectives, combining the work system with school\u27s resources in order to obtain high achievement with a focus on improving the learners\u27 quality. (2) The implementation of school-based management to achieve education programs was implemented by formulating the socialization stages, vision, mission, school\u27s objectives, school\u27s challenges, and SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunities, and Threats) analysis. (3) The obstacles were not arisen in implementing school-based management if it was viewed from staff/employees condition. The teacher condition was not good in discipline and responsibility and the school was not good in government transportation

    : Teachers\u27 professionalism ability to create quality learning affects the successful of education. Guiding the teachers is one of the principal\u27s responsibilities. This research aimed to find out the principal\u27s strategies including programs, implementation, evaluation, supporting and inhibiting factors in improving teacher\u27 professionalism at State Senior High School 1 of Indrapuri. This research employed a descriptive method with quantitative approach. Techniques of data collection used were interview, observation, and study documentation. Subjects were principals, vice principal, teachers, supervisors, and school committee. Data were analyzed by reducing data, displaying, drawing conclusion, and data verification. The results showed that: 1) planning to improve teachers\u27 professionalism was implemented in discussion forum at the beginning of academic year and involves all school personnel. Teachers\u27 professionalism improvement programs planned were implementing team teaching, involving all teachers in school activities, managing student\u27s administration including facilities and infrastructure, conducting supervision, instilling discipline, and giving motivation and reward accordingly. 2) The programs were implemented by the team, which consisted of the principal, vice principal and senior teachers. The programs were implemented by dividing the tasks and setting the planning as a reference. 3) The evaluation was conducted at the end of semester and guided the teacher to understand the evaluation activities, showing instrument evaluation, and socializing the evaluation activities. 4) The supporting factors in improving teachers\u27 professionalism were having a formal legal basis, the socialization regarding the importance of teachers\u27 professionalism, cooperation, partnership and potential teachers, and the existence of formal and informal organization in school. The inhibiting factors were the low of bureaucratic culture, the low of work productivity, the low of output education to compete, and incomplete of facilities and infrastructure

    : Learning management has a big role in providing contribution for the moral coaching of the students in school. This study aimed to find out: planning, organization, implementation, evaluation, and supporting factors of Islamic religious learning in Bambong Islamic State Junior High School of Pidie Regency. This study used descriptive method and qualitative approach. Data were collected by using observation, interview, and documentation study technique. Subject of the study were principal, Islamic religious education teachers, students, and school supervisors. The results of the study showed that: 1) Planning prepared by Islamic religious Education teachers were in the form of annual program, semester program, syllabus, and lesson plan which were well prepared and documented. Planning related to student coaching such as the addition of learning materials in Arabic learning (local content subject), citation of Yasin at the beginning of every month on Friday, Dhuhur prayer in congregation, Ramadan activities, and religious competition at the end of every semester were not going well. 2) Organization of Islamic religious learning was in good direction so that there were no overlapped and wasted time in learning process in the class. Good learning organization enabled the achievement of efficiency in the school. 3) The implementation of learning was in compliance with the applicable curriculum but the learning implementation was not optimal because teacher did not implement the learning based on the lesson plan. 4) Evaluations carried out by the teacher in the class were pretest and posttest in the form of oral, written (multiple choice and essay), and practice test
