Children's Play Environment after a Disaster: The Great East Japan Earthquake
The Great East Japan Earthquake of March 11, 2011, together with the subsequent tsunami and nuclear power station accident, damaged a wide area of land. Children who experienced these terrible disasters and the post-disaster situation are still suffering in mental, physical and social ways. Children's play is an activity that they undertake naturally and which can help them recover from such disasters. This paper addresses the role of play, adventure playgrounds and other play interventions, including play buses, for the health triangle, which addresses mental, physical and social issues of children after the disasters. These interventions were shown to be effective because children could express their stress. This included play for their mental health, different body movements for their physical health and communication with playworkers and new friends for restructuring their social health. These three aspects relate to and support each other within the health triangle. An increase in childhood obesity and lack of exercise is an additional health issue in Fukushima. For a balanced recovery within the health triangle, more play environments should be provided and some improved. A child's right to play should be implemented in the recovery stage after a disaster
Nonrelativistic ionization energy for the helium ground state
The helium ground state nonrelativistic energy with 24 significant digits is
presented. The calculations are based on variational expansion with randomly
chosen exponents. This data can be used as a benchmark for other approaches for

Bloch-Nordsieck cancellations beyond logarithms in heavy particle decays
We investigate the one-loop radiative corrections to the semileptonic decay
of a charged particle at finite gauge boson mass. Extending the Bloch-Nordsieck
cancellation of infrared logarithms, the subsequent non-analytic terms are also
found to vanish after eliminating the pole mass in favor of a mass defined at
short distances. This observation justifies the operator product expansion for
inclusive decays of heavy mesons and implies that infrared effects associated
with the summation of the radiative corrections are suppressed by at least

In-situ epitaxial growth of superconducting La-based bilayer cuprate thin films
We investigate the epitaxial growth of bilayer cuprate La2CaCu2O6+\delta
using pure ozone as an oxidant, and find that even the crystal with parent
composition without cation substitution can show metallic behavior with the aid
of epitaxial strain effect. The hole concentration is controlled simply by
excess-oxygen doping, and the films grown under the optimum conditions exhibit
superconductivity below 30 K. This is the first result on the superconductivity
of bilayer La2CaCu2O6+\delta induced purely by the excess oxygen.Comment: 5 pages, 3 figures, To appear in Phys. Rev. B, Rapid Communication
Improved Theory of the Muonium Hyperfine Structure
Terms contributing to the hyperfine structure of the muonium ground state at
the level of few tenths of kHz have been evaluated. The
radiative correction has been calculated numerically to the precision of 0.02
kHz. Leading terms of order and some relativistic corrections have been evaluated analytically.
The theoretical uncertainty is now reduced to 0.17 kHz. At present, however, it
is not possible to test QED to this precision because of the 1.34 kHz

Universality of Leading Relativistic Corrections to Bound State Gyromagnetic Ratios
We discuss the leading relativistic (nonrecoil and recoil) corrections to
bound state -factors of particles with arbitrary spin. These corrections are
universal for any spin and depend only on the free particle gyromagnetic

Radiative Corrections to the Muonium Hyperfine Structure. I. The Correction
This is the first of a series of papers on a systematic application of the
NRQED bound state theory of Caswell and Lepage to higher-order radiative
corrections to the hyperfine structure of the muonium ground state. This paper
describes the calculation of the radiative correction. Our
result for the complete correction is 0.424(4) kHz, which
reduces the theoretical uncertainty significantly. The remaining uncertainty is
dominated by that of the numerical evaluation of the nonlogarithmic part of the

The Standard Model Prediction of the Muon Anomalous Magnetic Moment
This article reviews and updates the Standard Model prediction of the muon
g-2. QED, electroweak and hadronic contributions are presented, and open
questions discussed. The theoretical prediction deviates from the present
experimental value by 2-3 standard deviations, if e+e- annihilation data are
