A Study on Building a “Three Wholes” Long-Term Mechanism for Tuition-Free Normal University Students’ Education on Career Aspiration
The establishment and achievement of tuition-free normal university students’ lofty and unswerving teaching aspirations is closely associated with the implementation of the state tuition-free policy for normal university students. It has a direct impact on the improvement of the quality of China’s future education, and is the core of cultivating tuition-free normal students. In this sense, the education in terms of their career aspirations plays a vital role. The paper is of the belief that building a long-term “three wholes” mechanism which includes whole process, whole participation and whole direction is an inherent requirement of enhancing the effectiveness of the career aspiration education on the part of tuition-free normal university students
The Constructing of Mobile Internet-Based Ideological and Political Education of University Students Based on the Idea of U-Learning
As a type of educational concept, u-learning has gradually stepped from theory to practice relying on the continuous development of modern educational technology. While mobile Internet has provided a good opportunity to implant the idea of u-learning into the ideological and political education of university students, universities should be vigorously constructing the mobile Internet-based ideological and political education of university students, breaking through the restrictions of time and space of the traditional educational pattern, thus realizing an ubiquitous ideological and political education of university students
On the Formation of Pentylpiperidine in the Hydrodenitrogenation of Pyridine
The hydrodenitrogenation of 2-methylpiperidine and 2-methylpyrrolidine was studied over sulfided NiMo/Îł-Al2O3 in the presence of dialkylamines, alkylamines, and alkenes to determine why N-pentylpiperidine is formed in the hydrodenitrogenation of pyridine. N-alkylated 2-methylpiperidine and 2-methylpyrrolidine were only formed as primary products by reaction with alkylamines and not by reaction with 2-methylpiperidine and 2-methylpyrrolidine, or by reaction with an alkene. This indicates that, in the hydrodenitrogenation of pyridine, N-pentylpiperidine is formed by the reaction of the secondary intermediate pentylamine with the primary intermediate piperidine, and not by reaction of two primary piperidine intermediates or by reaction of pentene, one of the final products, with piperidin
The Basic Experience of Seizing the Cultural Hegemony of the CPC in the Liberation War
The cultural hegemony is identified by the ideology of the ruling class, which is a theoretical model to get the political leadership through “mobile warfare” and “trench warfare”. In the Liberation War, according to the adjusted strategy, the Chinese Communist Party united with all those that can be united with to obtain people’s cultural and ideological identity. The CPC continued to strengthen its construction of the members and through theoretical study guiding the practice to increase the rallying power and combat capacity. It also through the combination of violent revolution and ideology identity, carried out the great practice of seizing the cultural hegemony, thus forming the base and valuable experience
Mixed Adenoneuroendocrine Carcinoma Arising in a Papillary Adenoma of Gallbladder
Introduction: Neuroendocrine carcinoma and mixed adenoneuroendocrine carcinoma (MANEC) in the gallbladder are rare. Here, we reported an unusual case of a mixed high-grade neuroendocrine carcinoma and adenocarcinoma, arising in a papillary adenoma with high-grade dysplasia.Presentation of case: The patient, a 73 year-old woman, had a cholecystectomy for chronic calculous cholecystitis, in which a mixed high-grade neuroendocrine carcinoma and adenocarcinoma arising in a papillary adenoma with high-grade dysplasia was incidentally noted. The carcinoma invaded into lamina propria, without any evidence of invasion into muscularis layer or perimuscular soft tissue, hence was pathologically staged as T1. The patient was treated with chemoradiation after cholecystectomy. Desspite the unusually low tumor stage at presentation of this rare tumor, there were four recurrences / metastases involving abdominal wall, an unusual site for this tumor, which were treated with surgery and / or chemotherapy. The patient is alive with metastatic disease at 45 months after initial cholecystectomy. Conclusion: We detail the unusual presentation of a mixed high-grade neuroendocrine carcinoma and adenocarcinoma arising in a papillary adenoma with high-grade dysplasia, which sheds some light on the clinical course of this rare tumor
A Survey on ML4VIS: Applying Machine Learning Advances to Data Visualization
Inspired by the great success of machine learning (ML), researchers have
applied ML techniques to visualizations to achieve a better design,
development, and evaluation of visualizations. This branch of studies, known as
ML4VIS, is gaining increasing research attention in recent years. To
successfully adapt ML techniques for visualizations, a structured understanding
of the integration of ML4VISis needed. In this paper, we systematically survey
88 ML4VIS studies, aiming to answer two motivating questions: "what
visualization processes can be assisted by ML?" and "how ML techniques can be
used to solve visualization problems?" This survey reveals seven main processes
where the employment of ML techniques can benefit visualizations:Data
Processing4VIS, Data-VIS Mapping, InsightCommunication, Style Imitation, VIS
Interaction, VIS Reading, and User Profiling. The seven processes are related
to existing visualization theoretical models in an ML4VIS pipeline, aiming to
illuminate the role of ML-assisted visualization in general
visualizations.Meanwhile, the seven processes are mapped into main learning
tasks in ML to align the capabilities of ML with the needs in visualization.
Current practices and future opportunities of ML4VIS are discussed in the
context of the ML4VIS pipeline and the ML-VIS mapping. While more studies are
still needed in the area of ML4VIS, we hope this paper can provide a
stepping-stone for future exploration. A web-based interactive browser of this
survey is available at https://ml4vis.github.ioComment: 19 pages, 12 figures, 4 table
Towards automated infographic design: Deep learning-based auto-extraction of extensible timeline
Designers need to consider not only perceptual effectiveness but also visual
styles when creating an infographic. This process can be difficult and time
consuming for professional designers, not to mention non-expert users, leading
to the demand for automated infographics design. As a first step, we focus on
timeline infographics, which have been widely used for centuries. We contribute
an end-to-end approach that automatically extracts an extensible timeline
template from a bitmap image. Our approach adopts a deconstruction and
reconstruction paradigm. At the deconstruction stage, we propose a multi-task
deep neural network that simultaneously parses two kinds of information from a
bitmap timeline: 1) the global information, i.e., the representation, scale,
layout, and orientation of the timeline, and 2) the local information, i.e.,
the location, category, and pixels of each visual element on the timeline. At
the reconstruction stage, we propose a pipeline with three techniques, i.e.,
Non-Maximum Merging, Redundancy Recover, and DL GrabCut, to extract an
extensible template from the infographic, by utilizing the deconstruction
results. To evaluate the effectiveness of our approach, we synthesize a
timeline dataset (4296 images) and collect a real-world timeline dataset (393
images) from the Internet. We first report quantitative evaluation results of
our approach over the two datasets. Then, we present examples of automatically
extracted templates and timelines automatically generated based on these
templates to qualitatively demonstrate the performance. The results confirm
that our approach can effectively extract extensible templates from real-world
timeline infographics.Comment: 10 pages, Automated Infographic Design, Deep Learning-based Approach,

Allocating Limited Resources to Protect a Massive Number of Targets using a Game Theoretic Model
Resource allocation is the process of optimizing the rare resources. In the
area of security, how to allocate limited resources to protect a massive number
of targets is especially challenging. This paper addresses this resource
allocation issue by constructing a game theoretic model. A defender and an
attacker are players and the interaction is formulated as a trade-off between
protecting targets and consuming resources. The action cost which is a
necessary role of consuming resource, is considered in the proposed model.
Additionally, a bounded rational behavior model (Quantal Response, QR), which
simulates a human attacker of the adversarial nature, is introduced to improve
the proposed model. To validate the proposed model, we compare the different
utility functions and resource allocation strategies. The comparison results
suggest that the proposed resource allocation strategy performs better than
others in the perspective of utility and resource effectiveness.Comment: 14 pages, 12 figures, 41 reference
