    Strategija razvoja kontejnerskog terminala u luci Port Saidu

    Since 1960 there has been a growing trend for utilizing containers in marine shipping due to the growth of global trade, safety of containers, faster handling in ports and door to door services. This trend led to a development of container ships from 1000 TEU to 12000 TEU capacities. Consequently there is a continuous development in all related parties to container shipping such as port authorities, container terminals, cargo handling equipment manufacturers, management of container terminals and information technology. The system of containerization made a revolution at the entire pattern of trade and ports around the world, gearing up to meet trade growth and its requirements. Although there is a development in most of container terminals globally, our Egyptian container terminals still suffer from low performance which leads to losing the competitive capability. The paper is discussing the problems of public sector container terminals in Egypt and pointing particularly to Port Said Container Terminal, focusing on existing problems and suggested solutions for solving and improving the performance and productivity to compete and face the challenges due to the continuous growth in container shipping market.Od 1960. stalno raste trend rabljenja kontejnera u pomorskom brodarstvu. Taj je rast generiran prije svega zbog rasta globalnog prometa, sigurnosti kontejnera, bržeg rukovanja u lukama i servisom „od vrata – do vrata“. Taj trend doveo je do kontejnerskih brodova kapaciteta od 1000 do 12000 TEU. Sukladno tome, došlo je do razvoja svih ostalih subjekata međusobno povezanih s kontejnerskim brodarstvom, kao što su: lučke vlasti, kontejnerski terminali, proizvođači za opremu pri rukovanju teretom, upravom kontejnerskih terminala i tehnologijom informacija. Sustav prijevoza robe u kontejnerima revolucionarno je djelovao na globalnu strukturu prometa i luka, čvrsto se povezujući da bi se zadovoljio zahtjev porast prometa. Na globalnom planu većina se kontejnerskih terminala razvila. Ali, primjerice, egipatski kontejnerski terminali još uvijek pate od niskog stupnja učinkovitosti, što dovodi do nedostatne konkurentske sposobnosti. U ovom se radu raspravlja o problemima javnog sektora kontejnerskih terminala u Egiptu s posebnim osvrtom na kontejnerski terminal Port Saida, fokusirajući se na postojeće probleme i na elaboriranje prijedloga za rješavanje i usavršavanje rada i produktivnosti kako bi se povećala konkurentnost i suočilo s izazovima neprekidnog rasta na tržištu kontejnerskog brodarstva

    Effect of cryogenic treatment on drill tool for enhancing metal cutting operation of aluminium alloy IS737.Gr19000

    Drilling is the hole making process on the component face with the aid of a twisted drillbit. Normal drill bits easily wear out through penetration of drill bit into the workpiece material due to force generated in the drilling operation. So this work tries to investigate the machining parameters with cryogenically treated drill bits on various responses. Cryogenic treatment is one of the thermal engineering processes, which is used to cool the material from the temperature of −150 °C to −273 °C. This research work utilizes cryogenically treated drill tools for investigating the drilling performance on aluminium alloy (IS737.Gr19000) workpiece material. The independent variables and dependent variables are studied in this experimental analysis are spindle speed, feed rate and machining time, entry and exit burr dimensions, thrust force, torque, Ovality, surface roughness, respectively. The theoretical investigation is also carried out with statistical analysis. The response surface methodology with Box Behnken design the 17 experimental runs with 9 different treated drill tools are carried out. The cryogenically treated drill bit gave good results on burr dimensions, Ovality, surface roughness on drilled hole quality. The tool wear performance was also studied with drill tool geometry measurements with the tool makers microscope. The cryogenically treated drill bits gave the best results than the normal drill bit

    La hernie obturatrice (HO) est rare. Elle est à l'origine de 0,2 à 1,6% des occlusions mécaniques de l'intestin grêle avec un taux de mortalité etmorbidité après chirurgie est respectivement de 35 et 18%. Nous rapportons le cas de deux patientes chez qui le diagnostic de HO étranglée est établie dans le cadre du bilan d'une occlusion. La HO est une entité dont le diagnostic préopératoire est difficile en raison de la faible spécificité clinique. L'examen tomodensitométrique semble être une aide majeure au diagnostic  étiologique. Mais une fois le diagnostic d'occlusion posé, une intervention en urgence permettra d'en préciser l'étiologie et d'en réaliser le traitement. Tout retard thérapeutique majore la mortalité et la morbidité

    Experimental and Numerical Studies on Flexural Behavior of GGBS-Based Geopolymer Ferrocement Beams

    The ferrocement structural concept has been shown to offer exceptional mechanical properties in terms of toughness, fracture control, and impact resistance, which are achieved by tight spacing and homogeneous reinforcement dispersion within the matrix. The flexure behavior of geopolymer ferrocement beams under axial flexural stress is being explored experimentally and computationally in this present work. Under flexural loads, nine samples of geopolymer ferrocement beams 150 mm thick, 75 mm wide, and 1700 mm long were tested to failure. The reinforcing steel bars and wire meshes, as well as the quantity of wire mesh layers, were the key factors studied. The initial crack load, ultimate failure load, and mid-span deflection with various loading phases, cracking patterns, energy absorption, and ductility index were all studied in relation to the behavior. In terms of carrying capacity, absorbing energy, and ductility, welded steel wire mesh beams fared better than other materials. Using ANSYS-19 software, nonlinear finite element analysis (NLFEA) was carried out to demonstrate the behavior of composite ferrocement geopolymer beams. The ensuing experimental and numerical data demonstrated that the degree of experimental value estimation supplied by the FE simulations was sufficient.     Experimental and Finite Element Study of Residual Thermal Stresses in Veneered Y-TZP Structures

    The main complications of zirconia-based laminated systems are chipping and delamination of veneering porcelain, which has been found to be directly associated with the development of residual thermal stresses in the porcelain layer. This study investigates the effects of cooling rate and specimen geometry on the residual stress states in porcelain-veneered zirconia structures. Bilayers of three different shapes (bars, semi-cylindrical shells, and arch-cubic structures) with 1.5 mm and 0.7 mm thickness of dentin porcelain and zirconia framework, respectively, were subjected to two cooling protocols: slow cooling (SC) at 32 °C/min and extremely-slow cooling (XSC) at 2 °C/min. The residual thermal stresses were determined using the Vickers indentation method and validated by finite element analysis. The residual stress profiles were similar among geometries in the same cooling protocol. XSC groups presented significantly higher tensile stresses (p = 0.000), especially for curved interfaces. XSC is a time-consuming process that showed no beneficial effect regarding residual stresses compared to the manufacturer recommended slow cooling rate

    Pro-carboxypeptidase B2 (pro-CPB2) or thrombin-activatable fibrinolysis inhibitor (TAFI) is a glycoprotein encoded by the CPB2 gene and deregulated in several cancer types, including breast cancer. Thrombin binding to thrombomodulin (TM), encoded by THBD, is important for TAFI activation. CPB2 gene expression is influenced by genetic polymorphism and cytokines such as interleukin 10 (IL-10). Our previous results showed that tumor infiltrating monocytes/macrophages (CD14+/CD16+) isolated from inflammatory breast cancer (IBC) patients’ secrete high levels of IL-10. The aim of the present study is to test genetic polymorphism and expression of CPB2 in healthy breast tissues and carcinoma tissues of non-IBC and IBC patients. Furthermore, to investigate whether IL-10 modulates the expression of CPB2 and THBD in vivo and in-vitro. We tested CPB2 Thr325Ile polymorphism using restriction fragment length polymorphism, (RFLP) technique in healthy and carcinoma breast tissues. The mRNA expression of CPB2, THBD and IL10 were assessed by RT-qPCR. Infiltration of CD14+ cells was assessed by immunohistochemistry. In addition, we investigated the correlation between infiltration of CD14+ cells and expression of IL10 and CPB2. Furthermore, we correlated IL10 expression with the expression of both CPB2 and THBD in breast carcinoma tissues. Finally, we validated the role of recombinant IL-10 in regulating the expression of CPB2 and THBD using different breast cancer cell lines. Our results showed that CPB2 genotypes carrying the high-risk allele [Thr/Ile (CT) and Ile/Ile (TT)] were more frequent in both IBC and non-IBC patients compared to control group. CPB2 genotypes did not show any statistical correlation with CPB2 mRNA expression levels or patients’ clinical pathological properties. Interestingly, CPB2 and IL10 expression were significantly higher and positively correlated with the incidence of CD14+ cells in carcinoma tissues of IBC as compared to non-IBC. On the other hand, THBD expression was significantly lower in IBC carcinoma versus non-IBC tissues. Based on molecular subtypes, CPB2 and IL10 expression were significantly higher in triple negative (TN) as compared to hormonal positive (HP) carcinoma tissues of IBC. Moreover, CPB2 expression was positively correlated with presence of lymphovascular invasion and the expression of IL10 in carcinoma tissues of IBC patients. Furthermore, recombinant human IL-10 stimulated CPB2 expression in SUM-149 (IBC cell line) but not in MDA-MB-231 (non-IBC cell line), while there was no significant effect THBD expression. In conclusion, carcinoma tissues of IBC patients are characterized by higher expression of CPB2 and lower expression of THBD. Moreover, CPB2 positively correlates with IL10 mRNA expression, incidence of CD14+ cells and lymphovascular invasion in IBC patients. IL-10 stimulated CPB2 expression in TN-IBC cell line suggests a relevant role of CPB2 in the aggressive phenotype of IBC

    We propose to modify a type of ant algorithm called Population based Ant Colony Optimization (P-ACO) to allow implementation on an FPGA architecture. Ant algorithms are adapted from the natural behavior of ants and used to find good solutions to combinatorial optimization problems. General layout on the FPGA and algorithmic description are covered. The most notable achievements featured in this paper are a runtime reduction and including the approximation of the heuristic function by a small set of favored decisions which changes over time

    Abstract: The present study was designed to explain clearly why methyltestosterone is widely used by the Egyptian producers of farmed tilapia and also to investigate its fate in treated fish to guarantee that no hazards on consumers, producers and on the environment. In this study, samples of untreated and treated Nile tilapia were collected at several time intervals. Water quality parameters were within the acceptable range for fish growth. The present analyses showed highly significant increase in body weight, body length, condition factor (K), HSI and GSI, between different time intervals (April -November, 2009) in the untreated control and treated groups. On the other hand, plasma testosterone and residual concentration of testosterone hormone in muscle showed highly significant differences between the studied months in untreated control and treated groups. Molecular biological analyses revealed that methyltestosterone was able to induce DNA fragmentation and molecular genetic variability (using RAPD-PCR fingerprinting pattern) in the testis tissues of the treated Nile tilapia; Oreochromis niloticus, which was higher in the first four studied months than the untreated control tilapia. Additionally, histopathological examination showed no changes and no traces of hormone accumulation in the muscle structure. Testis showed moderate number of spermatozoa followed by increasing in number of spermatozoa at the end of the study
