Részvétel a CMS-kísérlet adatértékelő rendszerének fejlesztésében a CERN-ben = Participation in the development of the data analysis system of the CMS experiment at CERN
A pályázat jelentősen segítette az NK67974 és T72172 OTKA-pályázatok sikerét, mivel lehetővé tette a résztvevő ifjú kutatók, egyetemi hallgatók és doktoranduszok viszonylag hosszabb idejű kiküldetését a CERN-be. A kiküldetések során a következő eredményeket értük el: 1. Az RMKI BUDAPEST grid-rendszere a Worldwide LHC Computing Grid hivatalos Tier-2 szintű állomása lett 426 processzorral és 144 TB tárolóval 98% fölötti elérhetőség és 96% feletti megbízhatóság mellett. 2. Sikeresen üzembe helyeztük a CMS barrel-müon detektorának Debrecenben készült helyzetmeghatározó rendszerét, ebből Szillási Zoltán (DE) PhD-fokozatot szerzett. 3. A részletek nyomon követhetők a megbeszéléseink honlapján: http://www.grid.kfki.hu/twiki/bin/view/CMS/WeeklyBudapestDebrecenMeetings | The project facilitated the success of OTKA grants NK67974 and T72172 as it made possible for our young scientists, undergraduate and postgraduate students to work at CERN for relatively long periods. During these transfers to CERN we achieved the following results: 1. The BUDAPEST grid station of KFKI-RMKI was developed into an official Tier-2 station of Worldwide LHC Computing Grid with 426 CPU and 144 TB storage at an availability above 98% and reliability above 96%. 2. The alignment system of the CMS barrel muon detector, developed in Debrecen, was sucessfully installed at the LHC; Zoltán Szillási (University of Debrecen) got a PhD degree using this result. 3. A detector system was sucessfully designed for the next stage of the ASACUSA experiment at CERN; this was the basis of the MSc work of Anna Sótér (ELTE). 4. WE have learned to use the PAT software of the CMS SUSY group and had it successfully applied to our analysis. These results were reported at our weekly group meetings with the participation of the members working in Budapest, Debrecen and Geneva, using the conference rooms of ATOMKI, CERN and RMKI connected via internet. The progress of the work can be followed in the web page of the meetings: http://www.grid.kfki.hu/twiki/bin/view/CMS/WeeklyBudapestDebrecenMeeting
MEASUREMENT OF TENSOR OF INERTIA WITH TETRAHEDRON METHOD
Several sphere of technical life requires the tensor of inertia of a machine components. The
calculation is only an approaching one, therefore the application of any measuring method
seems to be powerful way. This paper introduces a new method for the experimental
determination of the center of mass and the tensor of inertia of machine components
with complex shape and nonhomogeneous mass distribution. The swinging experiment
was carried out on model engine made of wood, so the measured results confirm the
applicability of the elaborated method
Detecting and classifying lesions in mammograms with Deep Learning
In the last two decades Computer Aided Diagnostics (CAD) systems were
developed to help radiologists analyze screening mammograms. The benefits of
current CAD technologies appear to be contradictory and they should be improved
to be ultimately considered useful. Since 2012 deep convolutional neural
networks (CNN) have been a tremendous success in image recognition, reaching
human performance. These methods have greatly surpassed the traditional
approaches, which are similar to currently used CAD solutions. Deep CNN-s have
the potential to revolutionize medical image analysis. We propose a CAD system
based on one of the most successful object detection frameworks, Faster R-CNN.
The system detects and classifies malignant or benign lesions on a mammogram
without any human intervention. The proposed method sets the state of the art
classification performance on the public INbreast database, AUC = 0.95 . The
approach described here has achieved the 2nd place in the Digital Mammography
DREAM Challenge with AUC = 0.85 . When used as a detector, the system reaches
high sensitivity with very few false positive marks per image on the INbreast
dataset. Source code, the trained model and an OsiriX plugin are availaible

Aboralis pótgyomor prospektív randomizált összehasonlítása hagyományos orális pótgyomorral totális gastrectomia után = Prospective randomised comparison of aboral pouch with conventional oral pouch after total gastrectomy.
Prospektív randomizált vizsgálat keretében hasonlítottunk össze totális gastrectomia után két rekonstrukció típust, az aborális és az orális pótgyomrot a duodenális passzázs megtartásával. 28 beteg lépett be a tanulmányba. | In a prospective randomised trial we compared two types of surgical reconstructions, the aboral and the oral pouch construction with preservation of the duodenal passage after total gastrectomy. 28 patients entered the study. Primarily body weight, body mass index and quality of life, secondarily serum nutritional parameters, scintigraphic small intestinal passage, lipid and carbohydrate absorption were measured. No significant differences were found in the primary outcome measures, while some differences regarding the secondary outcome. In summary the site of the reservoir does not influence the functional outcome of reconstruction after total gastrectomy. Also the long term examinations for the aboral pouch versus Roux-en-Y study was finished. The above follow-up measurements were carried, and we found some difference in secondary outcome measures only. The gastrointestinal hormone measurements following ingestion of a test food at different types of reconstructions was finished. Significant differences were found in cholecystokinin and somatostatin production in favour of reconstructions preserving the duodenal passage. The manometry and Bilitec biliary reflux studies are still going on. Upper endoscopy, esophageal manometry and 24 hour Bilitec examinations were carried out for 14 patients
Self-assembly to synchrony of active gels
Self-assembly functionalizes active constituents to perform rhythmic activities. Here, our results show that the capillary-Marangoni interaction of irregularly moving gel beads develops complex patterns at the air-liquid interface. The collective behavior of the self-assembled structures exhibits breathing dynamics, polygonal oscillating rings, and cluster synchrony of chains. Interestingly, the trapping of soft particles generates relay synchronization of a rotor. Swarming of clusters is found to form rhythmic shrinking and expanding multiple-ring patterns. The development of self-organized spatiotemporal patterns of our active gel system provides a new way of creating collective oscillations
