Sakura：The oldest Italian magazine dedicated to Japanese literature. Founded by poet Shimoi Shunkichi who taught at Naples University from 1921 to 1926. Ran from July, 1920 to March 1922. This data is based on that created by Valerio Alberizzi. Giappone：Seasonal journal founded by Giuseppe Morichini of the Japanese Research Center in Rome. Publication was ceased following Morichini’s death in 1959. Annali di Ca' Foscari ：From 1970 the third book of the annual report from the foriegn language division at the University of Ca’ Foscari in Venice. Atti dell’AISTUGIA ：Journal of the Italy-Japan Research Society, founded 10 October, 1973. Yearly meetings were held from 1977. The research presented was published in the journal. The journal has currently reached issue 26 (3 issues did not make it to print). To date, approximately 350 papers concerning history, literature, philosophy, language, etc. have been printed. Summaries in Japanese and English are attached to the end of each work. Asiatica Venetiana ：Venice’s Ca' Foscari University East Asian Studies department journal. The first 5 volumes from 1996 to 2000 were edited by Proffessor Ａdriana Boscaro. Currently, Proffessor Marco Ceresa is in charge of editing. Asia Orientale ：Journal for the association of the same name, which is formed by students at Naples Asian University. From 1985 to 2000, 16 issues were published featuring papers on Japanese, Chinese, and Indonesian history, art, and literature. Il Giappone ：Following the death of Giacinto Auriti in 1959, this journal picked up the role of “Giappone”. After its start, Morichini acted as head editor and was printed seasonally until 1963. From that year, Naples Asian University’s Professor Adolfo Tamburello took over as head editor and changed Il Giappone to a yearly publication.
