    MIRAGE: The data acquisition, analysis, and display system

    Developed for the NASA Johnson Space Center and Life Sciences Directorate by GE Government Services, the Microcomputer Integrated Real-time Acquisition Ground Equipment (MIRAGE) system is a portable ground support system for Spacelab life sciences experiments. The MIRAGE system can acquire digital or analog data. Digital data may be NRZ-formatted telemetry packets of packets from a network interface. Analog signal are digitized and stored in experimental packet format. Data packets from any acquisition source are archived to a disk as they are received. Meta-parameters are generated from the data packet parameters by applying mathematical and logical operators. Parameters are displayed in text and graphical form or output to analog devices. Experiment data packets may be retransmitted through the network interface. Data stream definition, experiment parameter format, parameter displays, and other variables are configured using spreadsheet database. A database can be developed to support virtually any data packet format. The user interface provides menu- and icon-driven program control. The MIRAGE system can be integrated with other workstations to perform a variety of functions. The generic capabilities, adaptability and ease of use make the MIRAGE a cost-effective solution to many experimental data processing requirements

    Sandiwara Amal merupakan bentuk pertunjukan teater yang hidup di tengah masyarakat Desa Pulau Belimbing, Kecamatan Bangkinang Barat, Kabupaten Kampar, Provinsi Riau. Sebagai teater Rakyat yang hadir pasca kemerdekaan Republik Indonesia, kesenian ini terus dipertunjukkan sebagai bagian dari kehidupan masyarakat Desa tersebut. Sebagai media pertemuan masyarakat pasca perayaan Idul Fitri maupun dalam kegiatan sosial, kesenian ini diteliti untuk menemukan fungsi dari pertunjukan tersebut. Penelitian ini penulis telaah dalam kontek fungsi sosial, merujuk pada pemikiran Talcot Parsons yang dilihat dari proses sosial dikehidupan masayarakat sebagai bentuk makna, simbol dan informasi.     Using nano silica to enhance the performance of recycled asphalt mixtures

    Understanding how the physical properties of Nano-silica material affect the ultimate implementation of the asphalt binder is an essential study area that has been disregarded previously. The current investigation aims to determine whether or not it was possible to change the asphalt binder with Nano-silica (NS) depending on the qualities of the asphalt binder under consideration. Using nano-silica (2, 4, and 6 percentage by weight of asphalt), a penetration grade asphalt cement with 60/70 was developed. Nano silica and asphalt cement were first tested for their qualities. The NS modified asphalt binder was ready for use in the experiment after being heated to 160°C and mixed with a shear mixer at 2000 rpm for 60 minutes. The softening point temperature and penetration index of the NS modified asphalt binder, as well as the Brookfield rotational viscosity and ductility data, were also evaluated. Based on the rheological performance of the NS modified asphalt binder, increasing Nano silica content increases stiffness while decreasing temperature sensitivity. The addition of 4% Nano silica (NS) asphalt binder improved its basic properties and allowed it to be used in hot weather. By adding 4% NS to the hot recycle asphalt mixture, the Marshall stability is increased by 32.5%, the flow is reduced by 21.4%, the unit weight is maintained, and the amount of air voids in the mix, as well as other mix qualities, are kept at acceptable ranges.     Financial Sector Reform and Its Impact on Investment and Economic Growth: An Econometric Approach

    The financial sector is central to economic development as it serves the role of intermediary by mobilising savings and subsequently allocating credit for productive activities. However, in many developing countries including Pakistan, administered interest rate, domestic credit controls, high reserve requirements, use of captive banking system to finance large budgetary requirements of the government and controls on international capital inflows have remained the main features of the monetary policy. These repressive policies had their repercussions in the form of excess liquidity with the banking system, disintermediation of cash flows, segmentation of financial markets, underdeveloped money and capital markets, etc. [McKinnon (1973) and Shaw (1973)], therefore, argued that low interest rate ceilings unduly restrict the real flow of loanable funds, thus depressing the quantity of productive investment. Financial liberalisation, on the other hand, is defined as policy measures designed to deregulate certain operations of the financial system and transform its structure with a view to achieving a liberalised market oriented system with an appropriate regulatory framework. The financial sector reforms would lead to increase in loanable funds by attracting more household savings to bank deposits due to higher interest rates. This, in turn, would result in greater investment and faster economic growth.

    Salah satu permasalahan dalam perkembangan teknologi telekomunikasi yaitu bagaimana mencapai data rate yang besar namun dengan bandwidth yang tidak lebih besar dari bandwidth koheren kanal untuk menghindari terjadinya Inter-Symbol Interference (ISI). Salah satu solusi yang ditawarkan yaitu transmisi multi-carrier. Contoh transmisi multicarrier yaitu Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) dimana subcarrier-subcarrier dapat saling tegak lurus satu sama lain sehingga bendwidth yang dibutuhkan menjadi lebih efisien jika dibandingkan dengan multicarrier konvensional seperti FDM. SDR merupakan sistem pemancar dan penerima yang menggunakan pemrosesan sinyal digital untuk coding, decoding, modulasi dan demodulasi data. Modul WARP tersebut digunakan sebagai model pemancar dan penerima pada pengukuran kualitas unjuk kerja sistem OFDM dengan barbagai kondisi. Hasil dari implementasi dan pengukuran menunjukkan bahwa nilai BER tidak selalu berpengaruh terhadap Perubahan jarak karena ketika jarak semakin jauh tidak menjamin nilai BER semakin besar. Sementara dalam hal obstacle, nilai BER sangat berpengaruh dimana nilainya akan lebih baik saat tidak adanya obstacle. Seperti saat daya pancar sebesar -26.125 dBm nilai BER saat Line Of Sight (LOS) sudah 0 sementara Non Line of Sight (NLOS) bernilai 9.3x10-6. Untuk lingkungan pengukuran, lingkungan indoor menghasilkan kualitas sistem yang paling baik dibandingkan dengan lingkungan lainnya

    The dynamic of course scheduling is a direct factor to the high density of transport in the university environment. The high intensity of the drive at the University as a result of the scheduling pattern of lectures, of course, followed by the high emissions produced by vehicles are used. The absence of the scheduling pattern lecture addressing impacts on the environment will certainly will confuse this environment with emissions continue discarded by humans. By incorporating the concept of constraint programming with a barrier that consider the impact on the environment in the course scheduling is expected to reduce vehicle emissions college participants. Department of Civil Engineering, as the oldest and largest department in the Faculty of Engineering, University of Diponegoro with an average number of 280 students each object in the application of his generation into the design of our proposed algorithm because it has the most number of vehicles compared to other departments in the Faculty of Engineering. The results of the application of this algorithm, is able to reduce the amount of emissions by 50% for the class of 2011 and 2010 and even 66.6% for the class of 2009 students
