DAMPAK DARI ETOS KERJA TERHADAP KINERJA KARYAWAN PT. KARYA BHAKTI MANUNGGAL

The purpose of this study is to see the impact of work ethic on the performance of employees of PT. Karya Bhakti Manunggal with a total of 55 employees. The results of the analysis carried out by validity and reliability tests found that the data research instrument was valid with a correlation result> 0.30 and reliable (reliable)> 0.70, the normality test showed that the 2-tailed (2-tailed) test value of the two variables was > 0, 05, which means that the research variables are normally distributed. The work ethic ability in explaining employee performance is 30%, while the remaining variables are explained for other reasons not discussed in this study. The simple regression equation shows the positive influence of work ethic variables on employee performance Y = 22.354 + 0.568X, then the partial hypothesis test (t test) shows that work ethic has a significant effect on employee performance

PENINGKATAN KINERJA GURU MELALUI KARAKTERISTIK INDIVIDU DAN KOMPETENSI GURU

The performance of teachers who are still not in accordance with their abilitiestoday is a problem in the management of education. There are several factorsthat can affect the performance of the teacher, including individualcharacteristics and teacher competence, but these two factors also still haveshortcomings in their management. For this reason, the purpose of this study isto examine the influence of individual characteristics and teacher competencieson teacher performance at the teachers of SMK Negeri 1 Siantar, SimalungunRegency, totaling 24 people. This study uses quantitative and qualitative analysis with the use of validity and reliability tests where the results are valid andreliable. For the normality test that the data has a normal distribution, then forthe simple regression equation and multiple regression that the results of thecorrelation coefficient of individual characteristics and teacher competence onteacher performance are positive. For the partial test that individualcharacteristics have a positive and significant effect on teacher performance, forthe partial test of the teacher competency variable on teacher performance it haspositive and significant results. The results for the simultaneous test are knowntogether that individual characteristics and teacher competencies have a positiveand significant effect on teacher performance, this shows that when individualcharacteristics and teacher competencies are good, teacher performance willalso be good

PRODUCT QUALITY AND CUSTOMER SATISFACTION AND THEIR EFFECT ON CONSUMER LOYALTY

The results of this study are to see whether the influence of product quality and customer satisfaction on consumer loyalty is found at Mandiri Jaya Mobil Pematangsiantar whose business is engaged in buying and selling new and used cars, with a total of 130 consumers and using validity, reliability, normality test, and analysis instruments. the coefficient of determination, as well as simple and multiple regression equations as well as the t hypothesis test and F test. Then a conclusion is generated that for the partial hypothesis answer it is found that the influence of product quality variables has a positive and significant effect on consumer loyalty then consumer satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on consumer loyalty and for the simultaneous test to produce answers to the hypothesis that simultaneously there is a positive and significant influence on product quality and consumer satisfaction on consumer loyalty. This shows that when product quality is getting better, and satisfaction is achieved, loyalty will persist

SOCIALIZATION OF DIGITAL LITERACY AS AN EFFORT TO APPRECIATE OTHER PEOPLE'S WORK OR CONTENT ON SOCIAL MEDIA

This community service activity was carried out with the aim of providing socialization for efforts to respect the content/work of others on social media. This activity was organized by KOMINFO Indonesia Maju with the main theme being the 2021 Digital Literacy National Movement. This activity was held on Wednesday, 17 November 2021 at 13.00 WIB until it was finished. This activity is carried out online through the zoom application. About 200 participants took part in this webinar activity. The target of the socialization is the people who live in the city of Pematang Siantar, North Sumatra Province. The results obtained from this webinar activity are increasing awareness and also digital literacy competence which is the most important milestone in educating social media users in ethics, especially in avoiding plagiarism of content or other people's work on social media which can have a negative impact on its users itsel

PENGARUH LEVERAGE DAN AKTIVITAS TERHADAP PROFITABILITAS PADA PERUSAHAAN SUB SEKTOR TEKSTIL DAN GARMEN YANG TERDAFTAR DI BURSA EFEK INDONESIA

AbstrakTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah 1) untuk mengetahui gambaran leverage, aktivitas dan profitabilitas serta untuk mengetahui pengaruh leverage dan aktivitas terhadap profitabilitas pada Perusahaan Sub Sektor Tekstil dan Garmen yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia baik secara simultan maupun parsial. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif kualitatif dan  kuantitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah persamaan regresi berganda, koefisien korelasi, determinasi, uji simultan (Uji F), dan uji parsial (Uji t) dengan bantuan software statistic SPSS versi 21.Hasil dari persamaan regresi berganda pada penelitian ini yaitu Y=-0,025+0,039X1+0,009X2. Dari hasil uji F diperoleh H0 ditolak, aktivitas berpengaruh signifikan terhadap profitabilitas pada Perusahaan Sub Sektor Tekstil dan Garmen yang Terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia.Dari uji t diperoleh variabel leverage mempunyai nilai,H0 diterima, leverage berpengaruh tidak signifikan terhadap profitabilitas Variabel aktivitas H0 ditolak menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas berpengaruh signifikan terhadap profitabilitas.Dari hasil uji korelasi diperoleh nilai r sebesar 0,548 menunjukkan hubungan antara leverage dan aktivitas  terhadap profitabilitas pada Perusahaan Sub Sektor Tekstil dan Garmen yang Terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia periode 2014-2016 adalah sedang. Determinasi (R) diperoleh hasil sebesar 0,300 atau 30,0% dan sisanya 70,0% dijelaskan oleh variabel lain yang tidak dimasukkan dalam penilitian ini.Saran dalam penelitian ini adalah Sebaiknya perusahaan mengendalikan pendanaan menggunakan hutang,Sebaiknya perusahaan mengelola persediaannya agar cepat menjadi kas sehingga tidak tertanam menjadi piutang perusahaan, dan menambah jumlah aset supaya volume penjualan meningkat dan diharapkan dapat meningkatkan laba yang besar bagi perusahaan.Kata Kunci: Leverage, Aktivitas, Profitabilita

Sodium oxybate therapy provides multidimensional improvement in fibromyalgia: results of an international phase 3 trial

Background: Fibromyalgia is characterised by chronic musculoskeletal pain and multiple symptoms including fatigue, multidimensional function impairment, sleep disturbance and tenderness. Along with pain and fatigue, non-restorative sleep is a core symptom of fibromyalgia. Sodium oxybate (SXB) is thought to reduce non-restorative sleep abnormalities. This study evaluated effects of SXB on fibromyalgia-related pain and other symptoms. Methods: 573 patients with fibromyalgia according to 1990 American College of Rheumatology criteria were enrolled at 108 centres in eight countries. Subjects were randomly assigned to placebo, SXB 4.5 g/night or SXB 6 g/night. The primary efficacy endpoint was the proportion of subjects with ≥30% reduction in pain visual analogue scale from baseline to treatment end. Other efficacy assessments included function, sleep quality, effect of sleep on function, fatigue, tenderness, health-related quality of life and subject's impression of change in overall wellbeing. Results: Significant improvements in pain, sleep and other symptoms associated with fibromyalgia were seen in SXB treated subjects compared with placebo. The proportion of subjects with ≥30% pain reduction was 42.0% for SXB4.5 g/night (p=0.002) and 51.4% for SXB6 g/night (p<0.001) versus 26.8% for placebo. Quality of sleep (Jenkins sleep scale) improved by 20% for SXB4.5 g/night (p≤0.001) and 25% for SXB6 g/night (p≤0.001) versus 0.5% for placebo. Adverse events with an incidence ≥5% and twice placebo were nausea, dizziness, vomiting, insomnia, anxiety, somnolence, fatigue, muscle spasms and peripheral oedema. Conclusion: These results, combined with findings from previous phase 2 and 3 studies, provide supportive evidence that SXB therapy affordsimportant benefits across multiple symptoms in subjects with fibromyalgia

LEVERAGE DAN PROFITABILITAS TERHADAP NILAI PERUSAHAAN SERTA UKURAN PERUSAHAAN SEBAGAI VARIABEL MODERAT PADA PERUSAHAAN MAKANAN DAN MINUMAN

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran leverage, profitabilitas, ukuran perusahaan dan nilai perusahaan, pengaruh leverage dan profitabilitas terhadap nilai perusahaan baik secara simultan maupun parsial serta kemampuan ukuran perusahaan dalam memoderasi hubungan leverage dan profitabilitas dengan nilai perusahaan pada perusahaan makanan dan minuman yang terdaftar di BEI periode 2013-2017. Populasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 18 perusahaan dan kriteria pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling sehingga sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 6 perusahaan. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kepustakaan. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji asumsi klasik, analisis deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan leverage, profitabilitas dan nilai perusahaan mengalami penurunan sedangkan Size mengalami peningkatan. Hasil uji hipotesis pertama menunjukkan bahwa secara simultan leverage dan profitabilitas berpengaruh terhadap nilai perusahaan, sedangkan secara parsial leverage berpengaruh negatif dan tidak signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan dan untuk nilai profitabilitas berpengaruh positif dan signifikan. Hasil uji hipotesis kedua disimpulkan bahwa ukuran perusahaan mampu memoderasi namun tidak signifikan hubungan leverage dan profitabilitas dengan nilai perusahaan pada perusahaan makanan dan minuman yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia periode 2013-2017.Kata Kunci: Leverage, Profitabilitas, Ukuran Perusahaan dan Nilai Perusahaa

PRAKTEK DAN PARTISIPASI DOSEN DAN MAHASISWA MELATIH BERNYANYI NAPOSO BULUNG HKBP SOLA GRATIA BINJAI

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan bernyanyi naposobulung di Gereja HKBP Sola Gratia Binjai. Adapun kegiatan ini dilaksanakan oleh Dosen bersama mahasiswa dari Prodi Sastra Inggris dan Prodi Seni Musik Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni Universitas HKBP Nommensen Medan. Kegiatan ini dilakukan, berkaitan dengan mata kuliah &nbsp;Praktek Lapang Tematik &nbsp;(PLT) dimana Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni telah membangun Desa Binaan di Lingkungan II, Kelurahan Dataran Tinggi, Binjai Timur, Kota Binjai. Tahapan kegiatan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah: 1) Melakukan survey lokasi di lingkungan II, 2) Merumuskan masalah, 3) Merumuskan pemecahan masalah, 4) Menentukan target luaran dari setiap rangkaian pemecahan masalah. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini diperoleh: 1)Naposobulung memberikan respon yang sangat tinggi terhadap kegiatan pelatihan bernyanyi, 2) Naposubulung memiliki keinginan untuk belajar bermain gitar dalam mengiringi lagu “O Holy Night”, 3) Napobulung mampu menyanyikan lagu “O Holy Night pada acara Natal di Gereja HKBP Sola Gratia Lingkungan II, Kelurahan Dataran Tinggi, Binjai Timur. Tahapan-tahapan ini dilakukan berdasarkan kesepakatan bersama dikarenakan harus menentukan waktu bersama. Selanjutnya berdasarkan diskusi bersama dengan pihak naposobulung, orangtua dan penatua di gereja tersebut maka mereka menginginkan agar kegiatan ini bisa berlangsung teru menerus dan menjadi bentuk kerjasama melalui Surat Perjanjian Kerja (SPK) dalam meningkatkan kemampuan naposobulung untuk melakukan bernyanyi bersama di acara-acara kebaktian dalam gereja. Diharapkan kerjasama ini dapat berlangsung bukan hanya untuk naposobulung saja tetapi untuk anak-anak sekolah minggu juga
