    Time series analysis for minority game simulations of financial markets

    The minority game (MG) model introduced recently provides promising insights into the understanding of the evolution of prices, indices and rates in the financial markets. In this paper we perform a time series analysis of the model employing tools from statistics, dynamical systems theory and stochastic processes. Using benchmark systems and a financial index for comparison, several conclusions are obtained about the generating mechanism for this kind of evolut ion. The motion is deterministic, driven by occasional random external perturbation. When the interval between two successive perturbations is sufficiently large, one can find low dimensional chaos in this regime. However, the full motion of the MG model is found to be similar to that of the first differences of the SP500 index: stochastic, nonlinear and (unit root) stationary.Comment: LaTeX 2e (elsart), 17 pages, 3 EPS figures and 2 tables, accepted for publication in Physica

    Pengaruh Suplementasi L-Arginin Dalam Pakan Terhadap Organ Pencernaan Ayam Broiler

    This research was conducted in the enclosure of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Timor, Sasi sub-district, Kefamenanu city, North Central Timor district for 42 days from April to May 2021. The aim of the study was to determine the effect of L-arginine supplementation in feed on the digestive organs of broiler chickens. This study used 96 Day Old Chick broilers. The research method used was a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments and 4 replications. Each experimental unit consisted of 6 broilers. The treatments given consisted of T0: control feed, T1: control + 0.5% L-arginine, T2: control + 0.75% L-arginine, T3: control + 1.00% L-arginine. The variables observed were liver weight, bile weight, pancreatic weight, gizzard weight, intestinal length and small intestine weight. The data obtained were analyzed using statistical package software for the social sciences (SPSS 20). The analysis showed that the addition of L-arginine had no significant effect (P<0.05) on liver weight, bile weight, pancreatic weight, gizzard weight, intestinal length and small intestine weight. Based on these results and discussion, it can be concluded that the supplementation of the amino acid L-arginine 0.75% in broiler chicken feed can affect the weight of the digestive organs of the gizzard, while the weightof the liver, bile, panceas, intestinal weight have on significant effect.Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kandang Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Timor, Kelurahan Sasi, Kecamatan Kota Kefamenanu, Kabupaten Timor Tengah Utara selama 42 hari; terhitung sejak bulan April hingga Mei 2021. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh suplementasi L-arginin dalam pakan terhadap organ pencernaan ayam broiler. Penelitian ini menggunakan Day Old Chick broiler sebanyak 96 ekor. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 4 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Setiap unit percobaan terdiri dari 6 ekor ayam broiler. Perlakuan yang diberikan terdiri dari T0: sebagai pakan kontrol, T1: kontrol + 0,5% L-arginin, T2: kontrol + 0,75% L-arginin, dan T3: kontrol + 1,00% L-arginin. Variabel yang diamati adalah berat hati, berat empedu, berat pankreas, berat gizzard, panjang usus, dan berat usus halus. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan software statistic packge for the social sciences (SPSS 20). Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa penambahan L-arginin berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap berat hati, berat empedu, berat pankreas, berat gizzard, panjang usus, dan berat usus halus. Disimpulkan bahwa suplementasi asam amino L-arginin 0,75% dalam pakan ayam broiler dapat mempengaruhi berat pada organ pencernaan gizzard; sedangkan berat hati, empedu, pankreas, panjang usus, dan berat usus tidak berpengaruh nyata

    Profil Glukosa dan Urea Darah Sapi Bali Jantan yang digemukkan dengan Pakan Komplit yang Mengandung Level Protein Kasar berbeda

    The purpose of this study was to determine the glucose and urea profile of Bali bovine blood fattened with complete feed containing different levels of crude protein (PK). Cattle used by male Bali cattle are 2 - 2.5 years old with an initial weight of 200 kg. The rations used in the manufacture of complete feed are prepared with feed ingredients such as: natural grass, gliricida sepium, rice bran, corn flour, pollard bran. The variables measured in the study were blood glucose and blood urea of male Bali cattle. The method used is an experimental method using a completely randomized design (CRD) with the following treatment: T1: 27% Natural Grass + Gliricida sepium 10% + Corn Flour 34% + Pollard 15% + Rice Bran 14% T2: Natural Grass 27% + 20% Gliricida Sepium + 18% Corn Flour + 15% Pollard + 10% Rice Bran T3: 27% Natural Grass + 13% gliricida sepium + 20% Corn Flour + 15% Pollard + 7% Rice Bran The results of this study indicate that, the use of complete feed with different PK levels does not affect the glucose and urea levels of blood of Bali bulls (P> 0.05). Where the blood glucose level for each treatment is, T1: 92,392 ± 9,779, T2: 87,448 ± 7,905 T3: 93,717 ± 14,969 while the blood urea levels for each treatment are T1: 44,629 ± 5,663, T2: 45,473 ± 4,152, T3: 44,543 ± 8,343. Based on description of the results of the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the provision of complete feed with PK level (11%, 13%, 15%) at 72% TDN has the same effect for all treatments and produces blood glucose and urea levels in the normal range.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui profil glukosa dan urea darah sapi bali jantan yang digemukkan dengan pakan komplit yang mengandung level protein kasar (PK) berbeda. Ternak yang digunakan berupa sapi bali jantan berumur 2 – 2,5 tahun dengan berat awal 200 kg. Ransum yang digunakan berupa ransum komplit yang disusun dengan bahan pakan yang terdiri dari: rumput alam, tepung gamal, dedak padi, jagung giling, bran pollard. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen menggunakan RAL dengan perlakuan sebagai berikut: T1: Tepung Rumput 27 % + Tepung Gamal 10 % + Jagung 34 % + Pollard 15 % + Dedak Padi 14 % T2: Tepung Rumput 27 % + Tepung Gamal 20 % + Jagung 18 % + Pollard 15 % + Dedak Padi 10 % T3: Tepung Rumput 27 % + Tepung Gamal 13 % + Jagung 20 % + Pollard 15 % + Dedak Padi 7 %. Variabel yang diukur meliputi kandungan glukosa darah dan urea darah ternak sapi bali jantan dengan waktu pengambilan 0 jam, 2 jam, 4 jam dan 6 jam setelah diberi makan. Data yang diperoleh ditabulasi kemudian dianalisis dengan Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) sesuai prosedur rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) menggunakan SPSS versi 19.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, penggunaan pakan komplit dengan level PK yang berbeda tidak mempengaruhi kadar glukosa dan urea darah sapi bali jantan (P>0,05). Dimana kadar glukosa darah (mg/dL) setiap perlakuan adalah T1: 92,392 ± 9,779; T2: 87,448 ± 7,905; T3: 93,717 ± 14,969; Kadar urea darah (mg/dL) sapi bali jantan masing-masing perlakuan adalah T1: 44,629 ± 5,663; T2: 45,473 ± 4,152; T3: 44,543 ± 8,343. Disimpulkan bahwa pemberian pakan komplit dengan level PK (11%, 13%, 15%), dengan energi (TDN 72%) memberikan pengaruh yang sama untuk semua perlakuan dan menghasilkan kadar glukosa dan urea darah dalam kisaran normal

    Pengaruh Suplementasi Dl-Methionine terhadap Berat Hidup, Berat Karkas dan Konversi Pakan Ayam Broiler

    The aim of this study was to know the effect of dl-methionine supplementation on the body weight, carcass weight, and feed conversion of broilers. This study was conducted at the Laboratory of Animal Husbandry Study Program, Agricultural Faculty, University of Timor, Kefamenanu from December 2019 to January 2020. The study used 80 fourteen-day broilers, products by PT. Wonokoyo Surabaya, Was designed with a Completely Randomized Design, consisting of 4 treatments and 4 replications. The dietary treatments were T0 (control feed), T1 (supplementation of 0.30% dl-methionine), T2 (supplementation of 0.50% dl-methionine), and T3 (supplementation of 0.70% dl-methionine). The variables measured were body weight, carcass weight, and feed conversion. Data obtained was analyzed by analysis of variance and Duncan’s test. The result showed that the bodyweight of T0, T1, T2, and T3 were 1875.00±56.79, 2077.25±46.51, 2079.00±57.11, and 2200.50±27.74 g/bird, respectively. The carcass weight, breast weight, thigh weight, and feed conversion were 1287.40±46.14, 1457.82±27.36, 1484.42±45.13, and 1567.32±8.27 g/bird; 512.63±8.60, 584.44±14.27, 598.16±13.93, and 658.69±15.75 g/bird; 511.19±16.57, 587.86±10.48, 604.55±26.86 and 636.35±21.65 g/bird; and 2.03±0.10, 1.70±0.07, 1.66±0.05 and 1.55±0.02, respectively. Statistical analysis showed that levels of dl-methionine significantly affected body weight, carcass weight, and feed conversion (P<0.05). it can be concluded that dl-methionine supplementation of 0.70% in feed increases live weight, carcass, and feed conversion of broiler chickens.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh suplementasi dl-methionine dalam pakan terhadap berat hidup, berat karkas dan konversi pakan ayam broiler. Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan di Kandang Laboratorium Program Studi Peternakan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Timor Kefamenanu selama 7 minggu, sejak Desember 2019 sampai Januari 2020. Penelitian ini menggunakan ayam broiler berumur 14 hari, sebanyak 80 ekor. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap pola searah terdiri dari 4 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Perlakuan yang diberikan adalah T0 (pakan kontrol tanpa suplementasi dl-metionine), T1 (suplementasi 0,30% dl-methionine dalam pakan), T2 (suplementasi 0,50% dl-methionine dalam pakan), dan T3 (suplementasi 0,70% dl-methionine dalam pakan). Variabel yang diamati dalam penelitian ini adalah berat hidup, berat karkas dan konversi pakan ayam broiler. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan sidik ragam dan uji duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata berat hidup perlakuan T0, T1, T2 dan T3 masing-masing adalah 1875,00±56,79; 2077,25±46,51; 2079,00±57,11; dan 2200,50±27,74 g/ekor. Berat karkas 1287,40±46,14;1457,82±27,36; 1484,42±45,13 dan 1567,32±8,27 g/ekor. Berat dada 512,63±8,60; 584,44±14,27; 598,16±13,93 dan 658,69±15,75 g/ekor. Berat paha 511,19±16,57; 587,86±10,48 604,55±26,86 dan 636,35±21,65 g/ekor. Konversi pakan 2,03±0,10; 1,70±0,07; 1,66±0,05 dan 1,55±0,02. Analisis statistik menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan berpengaruh nyata terhadap variabel yang diamati (P<0,05). Disimpulkan bahwa suplementasi dl-methionine sebesar 0,70% dalam pakan meningkatkan berat hidup, karkas dan konversi pakan ayam broiler

    Supplementation of Threonine and Tryptophan in Feed with Different Crude Protein Levels on Body Dimensions of Native Chickens in the Grower Phase (6 - 14 Weeks)

    The purpose of this study is to find out the influence of feeding different levels of protein in feed on the dimensions of the body of the village chicken grower phase (6-14 weeks), to find out the addition of amino acids treonine and tryptophan in feed to the dimensions of the body of the village chicken grower phase (6-14 weeks) and to know the interaction of protein leveling and the addition of amino acids treonine and tryptophan in feed to the dimensions of the body of the village chicken grower phase (6-14 weeks). This research has been conducted in Sasi Subdistrict, Kefamenanu City District, North Central Timor Regency for 8 weeks from October-December 2020. This study used 6 weeks old native chickens as many as 120 heads. The method used in this study is a complete random design of factorial patterns of 2 x 3 i.e. 2 levels of amino acids and 3 levels of coarse protein. Treatment given A1C1 (treonine 0.50% + tryptophan 0.15% + protein 15%), A1C2 (treonine 0.50% + tryptophan 0.15% + protein 17%), A1C3 (treonine 0.50% + tryptophan 0.15% + protein 19%), A2C1 (treonine 0.75% + tryptophan 0.20% + protein 15%), A2C2 (treonine 0.75% + tryptophan 0.20% + protein 17%), A2C3 (treonine 0.75% + tryptophan 0.20% + protein 19%). The variables observed in this study were weight, chest circumference, body length, length of sternum, femur length, tibia length, shank length, shank circumference and finger length. The data obtained was analyzed using variance analysis and multiple distance tests. Statistical analysis showed that crude protein levels had an unreal effect on chest circumference, body length, breastbone length, femur length, tibia length, shank length, shank circumference and finger length. Levels of amino acids (treonine + tryptophan) have a noticeable effect on weight, chest circumference, body length, length of sternum, tibia length, shank length and finger length. There is an interaction between amino acids (treonine + tryptophan) and crude protein levels against chest circumference, femur length, shank circumference and finger length
