    El siguiente trabajo consiste en el análisis de viabilidad de un plan de negocio sobre una agencia de Organización de Eventos en Zaragoza. El desarrollo del proyecto ha sido gracias a los conocimientos adquiridos a lo largo del grado universitario de Administración y Dirección de Empresas.Para este análisis, se han realizado varios estudios. En primer lugar, un estudio del entorno, tanto general como especifico, que nos ha permitido conocer cuáles son los agentes condicionantes que pueden tener impacto en la empresa. En segundo lugar, se ha definido un plan estratégico, que nos ha permitido definir los objetivos que debemos alcanzar. Por otro lado, el plan de marketing, donde se ha desarrollado las estrategias comerciales para alcanzar los objetivos propuestos y el plan de operaciones donde se han concretado el proceso de prestación del servicio y la ubicación y normativa a seguir del mismo. A continuación, se ha designado la forma jurídica más beneficiosa para el negocio, con el estudio legal, y seguidamente se plasmado el plan de recursos humanos. Por último, se ha realizado el plan financiero, donde se ha realizado el análisis de rentabilidad del plan de negocio.<br /

    Phytochemicals Determination, and Antioxidant, Antimicrobial, Anti-Inflammatory and Anticancer Activities of Blackberry Fruits

(EXP 00116482/INNO-20182004), funded by the Technological Center for the Industrial Development (CDTI).A comprehensive characterization of the phytochemicals present in a blackberry fruit extract by HPLC-TOF-MS has been carried out. The main compounds in the extract were ursane-type terpenoids which, along with phenolic compounds, may be responsible for the bioactivity of the extract. In vitro antioxidant capacity was assessed through Folin-Ciocalteu (31.05 +/- 4.9 mg GAE/g d.w.), FRAP (637.8 +/- 3.2 mu mol Fe2+/g d.w.), DPPH (IC50 97.1 +/- 2.4 mu g d.w./mL) and TEAC (576.6 +/- 8.3 mu mol TE/g d.w.) assays. Furthermore, the extract exerted remarkable effects on in vitro cellular antioxidant activity in HUVEC cells at a concentration of 5 mg/mL. Antimicrobial activity of the extract was also tested. Most sensible microorganisms were Gram-positive bacteria, such as E. faecalis, B. cereus and Gram-negative E. coli (MBC of 12.5 mg/mL). IC50 values against colon tumoral cells HT-29 (4.9 +/- 0.2 mg/mL), T-84 (5.9 +/- 0.3 mg/mL) and SW-837 (5.9 +/- 0.2 mg/mL) were also obtained. Furthermore, blackberry extract demonstrated anti-inflammatory activity inhibiting the secretion of pro-inflammatory IL-8 cytokines in two cellular models (HT-29 and T-84) in a concentration-dependent manner.     Mineralocorticoid Receptor in Calcium Handling of Vascular Smooth Muscle Cells

    For decades, the mineralocorticoid receptor (MR) antagonists have been used for the management of cardiovascular diseases; however, the molecular mechanisms involved in their beneficial effects are not fully understood. Recent publications point to the fundamental role of aldosterone and vascular MR in the regulation of arterial tone, vascular contractility, and cell proliferation. However, the intricate transduction machinery activated by vascular MRs has begun to be revealed with the help of transgenic rodent models and novel transcriptional analysis approaches. Specifically, in this chapter, we review and discuss the most recent contributions about the fine-tuning that the MR exerts on the expression and function of ion channels that participate in calcium handling of vascular cells and the therapeutic implications for hypertension and cardiovascular diseases

    Establishment of a Sonotrode Extraction Method and Evaluation of the Antioxidant, Antimicrobial and Anticancer Potential of an Optimized Vaccinium myrtillus L. Leaves Extract as Functional Ingredient

    Vaccinium myrtillus L. (bilberry) leaves are an important by-product of berry production that may be used as a source of phenolic compounds which have a positive effect on human health. Therefore, an ultrasound-assisted extraction via sonotrode has been used for the first time to recover bioactive compounds from bilberry leaves. The extraction has been optimized using a Box-Behnken design. The influence of ethanol:water ratio (v/v), time of extraction (min) and amplitude (%) were evaluated considering total phenolic content (TPC) and antioxidant capacity (DPPH and FRAP assays) as dependent variables in a response surface methodology (RSM). Optimum values for the independent factors were 30:70 ethanol/water (v/v), 5 min of extraction and 55% amplitude. The empirical values of the independent variables using the optimized conditions were 217.03 +/- 4.92 mg GAE/g d.w. (TPC), 271.13 +/- 5.84 mg TE/g d.w. (DPPH) and 312.21 +/- 9.30 mg TE/g d.w. (FRAP). The validity of the experimental design was confirmed using ANOVA and the optimal extract was characterized using HPLC-MS. A total of 53 compounds were tentatively identified, of which 22 were found in bilberry leaves for the first time. Among them, chlorogenic acid was the most abundant molecule, representing 53% of the total phenolic compounds identified. Additionally, the antimicrobial and anticancer activities of the optimum extract were tested. Gram-positive bacteria demonstrated high sensitivity to bilberry leaves extract in vitro, with MBC values of 6.25 mg/mL for Listeria monocytogenes, Listeria innocua and Enterococcus faecalis, and 0.8 mg/mL for Staphylococcus aureus and Bacillus cereus. Furthermore, bilberry leaves extract exerted in vitro antiproliferative activity against HT-29, T-84 and SW-837 colon tumor cells with IC50 values of 213.2 +/- 2.5, 1140.3 +/- 5.2 and 936.5 +/- 4.6 mu g/mL, respectively. Thus, this rapid ultrasound-assisted extraction method has demonstrated to be an efficient technique to obtain bilberry leaves extract with in vitro antioxidant, antimicrobial and anticancer capacities that may be useful for the food industry as natural preservative or even for the production of functional foods or nutraceuticals

    Risk Factors for Working Pregnant Women and Potential Adverse Consequences of Exposure: A Systematic Review

    Objective: To assess the risk factors perceived as stressors by pregnant women in the work environment and the possible adverse consequences of such exposure for the normal development of pregnancy. Methods: Systematic review, guided by the PRISMA guidelines, and using Pubmed, Web of Science, Dialnet, SciELO, and REDIB databases. Methodological quality was assessed using the critical appraisal tools for non-randomised studies of the Joanna Briggs Institute. Results: A total of 38 studies were included. The main risk factors found in the work environment of pregnant women were chemical, psychosocial, physical-ergonomicmechanical factors, and other work-related factors. The main adverse consequences of exposure to these factors include low birth weight, preterm birth, miscarriage, hypertension and pre-eclampsia, as well as various obstetric complications. Conclusion: During pregnancy, working conditions that are considered acceptable in normal situations may not be so during this stage due to the major changes that occur during pregnancy.     Antibacterial and Antiparasitic Activity of Propyl-Propane- Thiosulfinate (PTS) and Propyl-Propane-Thiosulfonate (PTSO) from Allium cepa against Gilthead Sea Bream Pathogens in In Vitro and In Vivo Studies

    The use of phytogenic extracts is considered a sustainable strategy for the prevention of fish diseases, including Alliaceae as a potential option due to their variety of bioactive compounds. In this study, we analyzed the antibacterial and antiparasitic potential of propyl-propanethiosulfinate (PTS) and propyl-propane-thiosulfonate (PTSO) from onions. The in vitro activity against Pseudomonas anguilliseptica, Tenacibaculum maritimum, and Photobacterium damselae of both compounds was tested. In addition, the viability of Sparicotyle chrysophrii larvae was evaluated. Moreover, a diet that consisted of a blend of PTS/PTSO (ALLIUM) was used. A total of 90 gilthead sea bream juveniles were tested against P. damselae subsp. Piscicida after 12 weeks of dietary administration. Furthermore, 150 fish with a rate of 10–15 parasites/fish were fed for 21 days and the number of gill parasites was recorded. All strains were sensitive to both compounds. PTSO showed the highest inhibitory effect against all target strains, while PTS showed higher effectiveness against S. chrysophrii. Fish from ALLIUM group presented the highest probability of survival, increasing up to 91.1%, whereas in the control group, the probability of survival was 66.7%. The number of parasites in the gilthead sea bream decreased in the ALLIUM group over time. These results suggest the inclusion of PTS and PTSO in feed as a natural strategy to prevent antibacterial and antiparasitic fish diseases.Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI) 20170032 CER-2021101

    Extracellular Vesicles From Liver Progenitor Cells Downregulates Fibroblast Metabolic Activity and Increase the Expression of Immune-Response Related Molecules

    Extracellular vesicles (EVs) mediate cell-to-cell crosstalk whose content can induce changes in acceptor cells and their microenvironment. MLP29 cells are mouse liver progenitor cells that release EVs loaded with signaling cues that could affect cell fate. In the current work, we incubated 3T3-L1 mouse fibroblasts with MLP29-derived EVs, and then analyzed changes by proteomics and transcriptomics. Results showed a general downregulation of protein and transcript expression related to proliferative and metabolic routes dependent on TGF-beta. We also observed an increase in the ERBB2 interacting protein (ERBIN) and Cxcl2, together with an induction of ribosome biogenesis and interferon-related response molecules, suggesting the activation of immune system signaling

    El desarrollo de la inteligencia artificial ofrece metodologías innovadoras. El asistente virtual puede resultar de gran utilidad para un contacto y formación permanente, y es una realidad en creciente expansión en el ámbito empresarial. Este proyecto de innovación se apoya en cuestiones de desarrollo tecnológico de nuestra realidad social, cada vez más inmersa en un mundo de ciencia, tecnología e ingeniería, que se va extendiendo rápidamente al resto de disciplinas científicas. El principal objetivo del proyecto es incorporar de forma beneficiosa la tecnología y utilizarla al servicio del aprendizaje. En un entorno de aprendizaje que requiere capacidad de juicio y de pensamiento crítico para la de toma de decisiones, es importante hacer partícipes a los profesores en la búsqueda de sus necesidades no resueltas y la adopción de posibles soluciones, utilizando la tecnología más moderna. Además, también en una sociedad que avanza a una velocidad imparable en el ámbito digital, facilitar el acceso a información de forma global, beneficia no sólo a los alumnos, sino también a los profesores, y aporta valor añadido a la Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Tras la experiencia del confinamiento en la etapa Covid19 y el teletrabajo la asistencia virtual es una necesidad. La originalidad del Proyecto estriba precisamente en el planteamiento de la incorporación de la asistencia virtual e inteligencia artificial para la asistencia y apoyo a los profesores. En el ámbito europeo es cada vez mayor la preocupación por el uso y aplicaciones de la tecnología. Por ello, en primer lugar, es importante detectar las necesidades reales de los profesores, las lagunas de información y las dificultades para encontrarla, habilitando encuestas y grupos de trabajo, y profundizar sobre las cuestiones de interés a juicio de todos los implicados

    Se trata de identificar las necesidades no resueltas y otras cuestiones de interés, y proponer la utilización del asistente virtual como herramienta de apoyo en el acceso, la formación presente y futura, con carácter permanente, al alumno y al profesor; ello supone su utilidad en el momento presente y en el futuro, como herramienta de formación y acceso permanente. La originalidad del Proyecto estriba precisamente en el planteamiento de la incorporación de la asistencia virtual e inteligencia artificial para la asistencia y apoyo a los alumnos y profesores. El uso de la tecnología es cada vez más mayor, y puede revertir en beneficio al alumno desde una perspectiva más amplia de la que un profesor individualmente puede ofrecerle; se lograría así el acceso a la información con una intervención humana mínima, en cualquier momento y en cuestiones generales de amplio espectro, al que cada profesor en su especialidad no llega a abarcar, y los programas voluntarios de mentorías tampoco

    Accuracy of Xpert Ultra for the diagnosis of paediatric tuberculosis in a low TB burden country: a prospective multicentre study

    [Introduction] Childhood pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) remains a diagnostic challenge. This study aimed to evaluate the performance of Xpert Ultra for the diagnosis of pulmonary TB in children in a low TB prevalence setting.[Methods] Prospective, multicentre, diagnostic accuracy study. Children with clinical or radiological suspicion of pulmonary TB were recruited at 11 paediatric units in Spain. Up to three gastric or sputum specimens were taken on 3 consecutive days, and analysed by Xpert MTB/RIF, Xpert Ultra and culture in parallel.[Results] 86 children were included (median age 4.9 years, IQR 2.0–10.0; 51.2% male). The final diagnosis was pulmonary TB in 75 patients (87.2%); 33 (44.0%) were microbiologically confirmed. A total of 219 specimens, comprising gastric aspirates (n=194; 88.6%) and sputum specimens (n=25; 11.4%), were analysed. Using culture as reference standard and comparing individual specimens, the sensitivity was 37.8% (14/37) for Xpert MTB/RIF and 81.1% (30/37) for Xpert Ultra (p<0.001); specificity was 98.4% (179/182) and 93.4% (170/182), respectively (p=0.02). In the per-patient analysis, considering positive results on any specimen, the sensitivity was 42.9% (9/21) for Xpert MTB/RIF and 81.0% for Xpert Ultra (17/21, p=0.01); specificity was 96.9% (63/65) and 87.7% (57/65, p=0.07), respectively.[Conclusions] In children with pulmonary TB in a low burden setting, Xpert Ultra has significantly higher sensitivity than the previous generation of Xpert assay and only marginally lower specificity. Therefore, in children undergoing evaluation for suspected pulmonary TB, Xpert Ultra should be used in preference to Xpert MTB/RIF whenever possible.This study did not receive any project-specific funding.
