In dem Buch werden zwei Perspektiven eingenommen: Zunächst blickt die Philosophie auf die Möglichkeit einer theoretischen Psychologie in Hinsicht auf anthropologische und wissenschaftstheoretische Voraussetzungen, dann die Experimentalpsychologie auf die Möglichkeit guter Theoriebildung. Der dritte Teil des Buches ist der Versuch einer Synthese, in dem der philosophisch-psychologische Perspektivenpluralismus als Programm vorgeschlagen wird, die Richtungen, in die der Fortschritt der Disziplin erfolgt, kritisch zu begleiten

Development and Presentation of an Ethical Framework for Health and Medical Apps

The ubiquity of mobile applications makes it difficult to weigh up opportunities and potential risks. One significant aspect of an ethical assessment regarding the development and use of health and medical apps is the lack of clear and consistent guidelines and measures of value. Aim: The aim of this paper was to identify the main ethical determinants associated in the context of health and medical apps and develop a framework for ethical reflection. Methods: A systematic literature search in the database PubMed was undertaken and the journal Biomed Central Medical Ethics was hand searched and 32 met the review criteria. On this basis of the review an interview guide was developed and five purposively selected experts on the field of payers, science, consumers, medical ethics and society were interviewed regarding health and medical apps. Results: There is a lack of consistent and clear guidelines regarding the use of health and medical apps in literature. Indeed, findings refer to established biomedical principles. The interviews identified that several insecurities related to legal and regulatory issues are common. On the other hand, many advantages of the use of health and medical apps have been pointed out by experts. Conclusion: Debates on ethics and the use of health and medical apps should play a significant role in public discussion. Ethical endpoints cannot be considered isolated from each other, and must be regarded as a complex network of aspects connected with each other. Further research should concentrate on the development of consistent guidelines and a framework for reflection of occurring ethical concerns

Overview of a planned flight test operation for a scaled in-air capturing demonstration

Current aerospace research seeks to realize reusable launch vehicle (RLV) missions. One conceptual idea is to capture a returning booster stage in air with another aircraft as proposed by DLR in previous work. Within the H2020 project - Formation flight for in-Air Launcher 1st stage Capturing demonstration (FALCon), we investigate the in-air-capturing (IAC) approach with a demonstration setup of scaled unmanned aerial vehicles to research different aspects of this approach in scaled flight tests. This paper provides an overview of the unmanned IAC demonstrators and the planned experiment setup of the FALCon project, which will be validated in future flight test demonstrations. We describe the details of three flight demonstrators for the reusable launch vehicle, capturing or towing aircraft, and an intelligent coupling device which we developed from scratch for this project. We focus on the safety aspects enabling the implementation of a safe and successful demonstration in a non-segregated European airspace and present our researched aspects of the IAC maneuver. The planned formation requires a relative pose estimation between the involved demonstrators, while the demonstrators perform a rapid unpowered descent. We use an environmental perception setup, based on camera and LiDAR data processing, to solve this challenging task

Supporting open access publishing in the field of dynamic decision making

In contrast to the successful previous year, 2020 turned out to be difficult, not only for the earth’s population due to COVID-19 but also for JDDM with an unusually small sixth volume.
