Patriotic values of modern students: between Russia and the West (according to the results of sociological research)

The article discusses the patriotic values of modern students, their ethnic, territorial and religious identity. Authors concluded that there are problems in the reproduction of society's values and the ambiguity of trends in the formation of patriotism among young people.В статье рассматриваются патриотические ценности современного студенчества, их этническая, территориальная и религиозная идентификация. The authors have made a survey of opinions of the residents of Volgograd on the quality of transportation of passengers by city public passenger transport. As the result some new approaches towards solution of problems of passenger transportation and optimization of city transport network management were suggested.Авторами проведено изучение мнений жителей Волгограда  по поводу качества доставки  пассажиров городским пассажирским  общественным транспортом.  Методологией социологического  исследования стало учение  о принципах построения, формах  и методах научного познания  и преобразования действительности.  По результатам опроса предложены  подходы к решению проблем, связанных с перевозкой пассажиров  и оптимизацией управления  городской транспортной сетью

Family and family values in ordinary consciousness of the studying youth in the Urals

This article analyzes some aspects of the youth consciousness in the sphere of family and marriage projective construction. Features the valuable orientations of girls, young men and their parents in the field of the matrimonial relations at the choice of the partner of life and creation their own young family, the birth and education of posterity, preservation of the marriage union. Polls based on the authors were held them in 1999-2016 in the Urals and in the other regions of the Russian Federation. Композиты из субмикронных сфер Y2O3 с функциональной основой наноразмерных модификаций диоксида титана: получение и характеризация

Composites anatase/Y2O3, η-TiO2/Y2O3, Degussa P25/Y2O3 and Hombifine/Y2O3 were prepared by simultaneous dispersion of Y2O3 and TiO2 powders in weakly alkaline aqueous media or dispersion of Y2O3 powders in acidic titania-containing hydrosols followed by special treatment. Initial reagents and composites were characterized by X-ray diffraction, IR spectroscopy, transmission and scanning electronic microscopy with X-ray spectral microanalysis.Впервые получены композиты анатаз/Y2O3, η-TiO2/Y2O3, Degussa P25/Y2O3 нанесением наноразмерных модификаций диоксида титана со структурами анатаза и η-модификации и Degussa P25 на субмикронные сферы Y2O3 путём совместного диспергирования порошков Y2O3 и TiO2 в слабощелочной водной среде либо диспергирования порошка Y2O3 вкислотном титансодержащем гидрозоле с последующей обработкой. Исходные вещества и композиты охарактеризованы методами рентгенографии, ИК-спектроскопии, просвечивающей и сканирующей электронной микроскопии с рентгеноспектральным микроанализом, низкотемпературной (-196°C) адсорбции азота

CULTURAL MEMORY AS A MECHANISM OF IDENTIFICATION IN THE SOCIO-CULTURAL SPACE OF THE CITY (ON THE EXAMPLE OF VOLGOGRAD)

The problem of preserving cultural memory, which has become a subject of increased interest (not only theoretical, but also practical), is of particular relevance in the year of the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in Great Patriotic War. In the years of anniversary dates, disputes about the events of Great Patriotic War and its consequences are traditionally exacerbated. The article attempts to show that the cultural memory of the inhabitants of particular city is one of the elements of a complex social identification mechanism.Проблема сохранения культурной памяти, ставшая предметом повышенного интереса (не только теоретического, но и практического), приобретает особую актуальность в год празднования 75-летия Победы советского народа в Великой Отечественной войне. Именно в годы юбилейных дат традиционно обостряются споры о событиях времен Великой Отечественной войны и ее последствиях. The Financial Behavior of the Population: Identifying the Regional Differences

Изучению финансового поведения населения в современной социологии уделяется не много внимания. Толчок к новым исследованиям в этой области дал федеральный проект «Содействие повышению уровня финансовой грамотности населения и развитию финансового образования в Российской Федерации». Исследования, проведенные по заказу Минфина России, стали ценным источником информации и новых исследовательских задач, одну из которых можно сформулировать как исследование региональных отличий финансового поведения населения, объяснение причин их возникновения и представление рекомендаций по их учету при разработке региональных программ по повышению финансовой грамотности населения. Целью данной работы выступает выявление региональных отличий финансового поведения населения регионов – участников исследования. Основным методом изучения принято сопоставление данных социологических исследований и официальной статистической информации. Основу исследования составили данные мониторинга, размещенные в свободном доступе на сайте Минфина России, и статистическая информация ЦБ РФ и территориальных органов Росстата. Сопоставление данных позволило охарактеризовать финансовое поведение населения регионов, изучить динамику его изменений. Финансовое поведение населения Волгоградской области характеризуется низким уровнем сбережений и кредитов, что объясняется низким уровнем доходов, но присутствует ответственное отношение к личным финансам. Население Калининградской области с более высокими доходами имеет и высокий уровень как сбережений, так и кредитов и проблем с выплатами по кредитам, кроме этого демонстрирует снижение уровня ответственности в отношении кредитов. Финансовое поведение населения Оренбургской области вызывает серьезные опасения: низкие доходы, высокий уровень закредитованности, отсутствие осознания важности сбережений и ответственности при невыплатах по кредитам, но пока без проблем по их выплатам. Финансовое поведение населения Ярославской области благополучно во всех отношениях. Многообразие региональных отличий свидетельствует о необходимости их учета при разработке региональных программ повышения финансовой грамотности.The study of financial behavior of the population in modern sociology has received little attention. The impetus for further research in this area was the Federal project «Enhancing the level of financial literacy of the population and developing financial education in the Russian Federation». The research, carried out by the Ministry of Finance of Russia, became a valuable source of information and new research tasks, one of which can be formulated as the study of regional differences in the financial behavior of the population, explanation of the causes and development of recommendations on their considering in developing regional programs to improve financial literacy. This work aims to identify the regional differences in the financial behavior of the population (in the regions participating in this research). The main method of the research is a comparison of the data of sociological studies with official statistic information. The basis of the research was the monitoring data that are freely available on the website of the Finance Ministry, and the statistic information of the RF Central Bank and territorial bodies of Rosstat. The data comparison allowed characterizing the financial behavior of the population in the regions to study the dynamics of its changes. The financial behavior of the population in the Volgograd Region can be characterized by a low level of savings and loans due to the low income, though there is a responsible attitude to personal finance. The population of the Kaliningrad Region with higher incomes has a higher level of savings and loans, yet there are problems with loan payments. It demonstrates a reduction in the level of liability concerning the loans. The financial behavior of the population in the Orenburg Region raises serious concerns, such as the low income, high level of debt load, lack of awareness of the importance of savings, and the liability for defaults on loans, yet, so far, there are no problems on their payments. The financial behavior of the population in the Yaroslavl Region is successfully in all aspects. The diversity of regional differences suggests the need to consider them in development of regional programs to improve financial literacy of the population

The ameriсan and russian patterns of the group struсture of soсial networks (a comparative study)

Целью статьи является сравнительный анализ развития социальных сетей в России и США. Показана сильная роль социальной составляющей в развитии сетей на примере истории Friendster. Отмечается ориентация сетей на различные референтные группы на первых этапах своего развития (MySpace – рок-музыканты, Facebook – студенты университетов). Важным фактором развития сетей выступают риски их использования, преодоление которых является условием их успешного развития. Для сети MySpace риски были связаны с проблемой педофилии, а для Facebook – с вопросами приватности и конфиденциальности. Показано, что существующая модель групповой структуры социальных сетей является отражением классовой структуры общества. В статье рассматривается развитие российских сетей; сделан вывод о различии рисков их использования как о культурном факторе. Для сети «ВКонтакте» это различные формы правового нигилизма (нарушение авторских прав, махинации во время проведения ЕГЭ). Авторы делают вывод о невозможности доминирования сети Facebook в рамках культур, отличающихся от американской.The article is aimed at comparative research of the development of social networking in Russia and the United States. As in the case of Friendster, the significant role of the social component in the development of social networks is revealed. It is argued that social networks were initially oriented toward certain target groups, i.e. rock musicians (MySpace) or college and university students (Facebook). Account holders'risks and challenges related to the use of social media serve the key factor of the development of social networking, and overcoming those challenges is the condition of further improvement. Thus, MySpace faced risks related to the problem of pedophilia while Facebook had to solve problems concerning privacy. The article shows that the existing group structure of social media reflects the real social stratification. It is argued that social media users' risks varying in the two countries may serve a cultural factor. Vkontakte faces the risks of law nihilism (e.g. abuse of property rights and unlawful behaviour during secondary certificate state exams in Russia). It is stressed that Facebook is highly unlikely to dominate in cultures different from the American culture
