Determinants Affecting Intention to Use E-Wallets in Vietnam: An Empirical Case of Momo

This research endeavors to identify and assess the determinants influencing the intention to use Momo e-wallet in Ho Chi Minh City, establishing connections between these factors. The research methodology involved the design of a questionnaire based on the UTAUT model, tailored to evaluate the determinants affecting the intention to use e-wallets in Vietnam, with a specific focus on Momo. A total of 388 respondents, all Momo users, participated in the study. The results of the regression analysis revealed that all four determinants significantly impact the intention to use the Momo e-wallet, with varying levels of significance: Effort Expectancy (β=0.45), Promotional Benefits (β=0.379), Performance Expectancy (β=0.13), and Facilitating Conditions (β=0.072). Understanding these factors that influence usage intention and gaining insights into user preferences can facilitate the development of e-wallet systems that support e-wallet providers in penetrating the market and retaining their existing user base. Synthesis of functionalized heterocycles via palladium catalyzed cross-coupling reactions

This present thesis is dedicated to the design and the synthesis of novel biologically active and fluorescent heterocycles from common starting materials. Based on Palldium(0) catalyzed reactions, a series of new ethynylated naphthalenes, ethynylated naphthaleneindoles, benzo[b]carbazolediones, benzofuroindoles and furodiindoles were synthesized with high yield. Synthesized compounds show interesting fluorescence properties with high quantum yields (19-78%). The benzocarbazolediones can be used as selective inhibitors against nucleotide pyrophosphatase.Die vorliegende Dissertation widmet sich der Synthese von neuen, biologisch aktiven bzw. fluoreszierenden Heterozyklen, ausgehend von leicht zugänglichen Ausgangsstoffen. Durch Anwendung von Palladium(0) katalysierten Kupplungsreaktionen wurden verschiedene alkynylierte Naphthalenindole und Benzocarbazoldione sowie verschiedene Furoindole hergestellt. Die synthetisierten Verbindungen zeigen interessante Fluoreszenzeigenschaften wie z.B. hohe Quantenausbeuten (19-78%). Außerdem wurden die Benzocarbazoldione bezüglich ihrer Aktivität gegen verschiedene Nukleotid Pyrophosphatasen untersucht

Smoke-free environment policy in Vietnam : what did people see and how did they react when they visited various public places?

Introduction. Since Vietnam has signed WHO framework on tobacco control (FCTC) in 2003 and has issued tobacco control law in 2013, there has been little research concerning about what impacts smoke-free regulations have had on public compliance. The objective of this study was to assess public exposure to secondhand smoke and reaction toward smoke-free policy regulations in Vietnam and the associated factor. Methods. Using the design of GATS (Global Adult Tobacco Survey), a nationally representative sample of 8,996 adults were approached for data collection. Logistic regression was used to examine the associated factor. Results. The study revealed that the prevalence of respondents exposed to secondhand smoke was much higher in bars/café/tea shops (90.07%) and restaurants (81.81%) than in any other public places, universities (36.70%), government buildings (31.12%), public transport (20.04%), healthcare facilities (17.85%) and schools (15.84%). 13.23% of respondents saw smokers violate smoke-free regulations. Among those who saw them violate smoke-free regulations, just onethird cautioned them to stop smoking. Strikingly, a higher rate of cautioning smokers to stop smoking was observed among the older, married, and better educated respondents. Respondents who were married, better educated and in lower economic status were more likely to remind smokers to stop smoking. Conclusions. The study has called for strengthening two of the six MPOWER (Monitor, Protect, Offer, Warn, Enforce and Raise) components of the tobacco free initiative introduced by WHO, Monitoring tobacco use and prevention policies and Protecting people from tobacco smoke. © 2019 Pacini Editore SPA. Relationship Between Foreign Direct Investment and Economic Growth: An Applied Research in Low Income, Lower Middle Income, Upper Middle Income, and High-Income Countries

This research aims to find the relationship between foreign direct investment (FDI) and economic growth at the global scale. The panel data, collected by the World Bank for a set of 135 countries over the period from 1990 to 2015, consists countries of four income groups – low, lower-middle, upper-middle, and high – based on gross national income (GNI) per capita. Linear regressions, which take the advantage of the ordinary least squares method, are used for estimating the unknown parameters. The results show that FDI has statistically significant and positive relationship with economic growth. Despite the development level, most countries have positive association with GDP growth. Based on these findings, some policies are recommended to attract more FDI and to use FDI resources more efficiently

Enucleated eyes after failed intra-arterial infusion of chemotherapy for unilateral retinoblastoma: histopathologic evaluation of vitreous seeding

Selective intra-arterial chemotherapy (IAC) has been adopted by many ocular oncology centers to treat advanced intraocular retinoblastoma. In this report, we describe two patients with unilateral intraocular retinoblastoma and persistent vitreous seeding, who were treated with IAC after failed systemic chemotherapy. Despite multiple sessions and increasing dosage of drug delivery, vitreous seeding in these cases failed to respond to IAC, and ultimately both eyes were enucleated for tumor control. Based on the histopathologic findings in these two cases, IAC appears to have limitations in treating persistent vitreous seeding in eyes which have failed systemic chemotherapy. Possible causes for failure of IAC to treat persistent vitreous seeding include poor vitreous penetration, inactive state of tumor seeds within the avascular vitreous cavity, and chemotherapeutic drug resistance

The system of oceanic database management and exchange is built with the purpose of exchanging the oceanic data between Vietnam and other ASEAN countries. The system can meet the demand of sharing and exchanging oceanic data through internet connection between Vietnam and ASEAN member countries. Besides, the system of oceanic database management and exchange can meet the demands of researches, managements and share of data domestically and internationally. In this paper, we focused on the details of the system of oceanic database management and exchange, such as hardware and software, data storage, data format and data structure, data management and integration, and other issues of interface, security, standards. The WEBGIS oceanic thematic database is properly built and managed for exchanging data domestically and with other ASEAN countries
