We have collected, processed and analyzed the results of treatment of 329 patients with gastrointestinal bleedings in which the course of the underlying disease is aggravated by the pathology of the cardiovascular system, in Communal institution "Dnipro Clinical Emergency Care Association" of Dnipro City Council» in the period for 2017. First, the frequency of background diseases was determined, chronic pathology being 93.4%. Ischemic heart disease (IHD): cardiosclerosis of various origins (post-infarction, diffuse, atherosclerotic), hypertonic disease (HD) - HD-I, HD-II, HD-III are the most common, while acute disorders of cerebral circulation, the state after coronary artery bypass surgery, renal artery bypass, arrhythmias, acute myocardial infarction made up 16 (5%), 1 (0.3%), 3 (1%), 1 (0.3%), respectively. Secondly, the quality of endoscopic hemostasis in case of ulcerative bleeding from the stomach, duodenum, gastroenteroanastomosis, was assessed by Forrest classification, connecting the results with the accompanying pathology of the cardiovascular system. We found that active bleeding F I was determined in 24 people (7.3%), of which F Ia – in 14 (4.3%), F Ib – in 10 (3%). Unstable hemostasis with a high risk of recurrent F II bleeding, was observed in 251 patients, which makes up 76.2%, and F III – in 54 (16.5%). The degree of blood loss was directly influenced by drug – anticoagulants, antiplatelet agents, hypotensive drugs, as well as their combinations, aimed at correcting the rheological properties of blood. Depending on the degree of blood loss, the quality of hemostasis, the general condition of the patient, the treatment tactics for this cohort of patients was determined. 313 patients received conservative treatment, which made up 95.1%. 16 patients were operated. Postoperative mortality is 12,5%. The overall mortality of the above cohort is 10%

The purpose of our study was to analyze the prevalence of morbidity of medical workers of health care institutions and anti-tuberculosis institutions, as well as the analysis of resistance of mycobacterium tuberculosis strains among medical personal of health facilities in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Retrospective analysis for 2015 - 2017 of electronic database of the patients register (TB-manager), outpatient cards and case histories of patients which underwent treatment in pulmonary-tuberculosis and surgical departments of CI «DnepropetrovskRegional Clinical Treatment and Prophylactic Association "Phthisiology"» DRC» was conducted . The incidence of tuberculosis among medical workers in health care institutions of Ukraine remains at a fairly high, stable level (426 cases of tuberculosis in 2016, 389 cases in 2017) on the background of the decrease in the incidence among the general population (59.5 people per 100 thousand population in 2014 and 51.9 per 100 thousand population in 2017 ). In Ukraine among tuberculosis patients – medical workers,  the overwhelming majority are workers of establishments of the general medical network (GMN) - 351 people, while in anti-tuberculosis institutions (ATI) in 2017, 38 cases of tuberculosis were registered. The article presents the clinical case of multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR) in staff member of the pathoanatomical bureau, one of the medical institutions of the city Dnipro

The purpose of our study was to conduct a comparative analysis of tuberculosis incidence among healthcare workers in the general medical service departments and anti-tubercular departments in the Dnipropetrovsk region for the period from 2008 to 2017, analysis of the professional, clinical structure of tuberculosis cases for 2015-2017. Despite the decrease in the incidence of tuberculosis inUkraine,  the incidence of morbidity among medical workers in the Dnipropetrovsk region remains unfavorable. Over the past 3 years, 155 employees of health facilities have been infected with tuberculosis, including 134 from the institutions of the general medical profile and 21 employees of the anti-TB clinics. The risk group consists of representatives of scrub staff and nursing staff, as well as auxiliary (other) personnel, regardless of the profile of the medical institution. It was established that the morbidity of the staff of the institutions of the community network and the clinical structure of cases of tuberculosis is unfavorable with a high proportion of destructive changes in the lungs, bacterial discharge, less specific gravity of cases detected during prophylactic examinations

Magnetic field penetration in MgB₂ single crystals: pinning and Meissner holes

    No full text
The evolution of flux distribution in MgB₂ single crystals during their remagnetization was imaged with magneto-optical technique. Meissner holes, formed as the areas where the annihilation of vortices and antivortices takes place, were found at the boundary between oppositely magnetized parts of the crystal. Gradient of magnetic induction in the vicinity of Meissner holes was found to be enhanced. Finger-like structures of convex shape, formed during the penetration of magnetic flux inside the crystal, were observed and explained as an effect of inhomogeneous pinning and demagnetizing field redistribution in the sample

Application of compressive-distractive apparatus along with stimulation of tissue regeneration using EHF irradiation for treatment of hip joint fractures

    No full text
The rehabilitation time of traumatology patients with hip joint fractures is reduced substantially by the use of compressive-distractive devices and additional stimulation of the regeneration processes with EHF waves. At the same time, an additional pathology is excluded during the treatment period
