    Model Pengembangan “Diet Media TV” Sebagai Penangkal Kecanduan Anak Terhadap Media TV dan Dampak Negatifnya

    YPMA research in Indonesia showed that most Indonesia children watch TV much longer than school hours. Activities watching TV besides make a child addicted to TV can also interfere with studi hours at home. In an attempt to solve the problem of children watching TV is an necessary of research on “TV media diet” that can reduce the nagative impact of TV media. Research done in the city Surabaya in East Java Province by using qualitative methods. Informant research is the mothers who have children of primary school. Data collection techniques performed by method of in-dept interviews. Results showed that children in watching TV on the push to find information and entertainment.Time children spent in watching TV more than two hours and this can be categorized as TV addiction. Activities of watching TV after school activities and this is often interfere with the hours of home study. Parent do not active in mentoring children in watching television. Parent tend to free the child to select TV programming without any selection of parent. TV programming selected children tend not to quality so not good for the child’s personality development. Research has developed a formula “TV media diet” in effort to prevent child addcited to TV. Formula “TV media diet” developed by : 1) limiting activities of children watch TV in maximum of 2 hours; 2) create parameters that can measure whether children addicted to TV or not; 3) create a parameter that can control what children watch TV programs are qualified or not; 4) mentoring children in watching TV; 5) balancing the need of children in watching TV with other activities

In this study, the author will continue to examine all millennial generations, both the early and late millennial generations. The type of research used is quantitative. The city of Surabaya was chosen as the research location because the city of Surabaya is the center of the capital and economy in East Java Province. The analysis technique used is descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression analysis techniques to determine the effect of brand personality on purchase intention. The sample in this study was 100 millennial generation respondents from 5 regions in Surabaya. The analysis used was SPSS.     Framingl menjadi bagianl yang inherenl dalam praktikl pemberitaan medial online. Berita mengenai (Permendikbudristek) Nomor 30 Tahun 2021 tentang PPKS menimbulkan banyak pro dan kontra. Kompas.com dan Detik.com merupakan media online yang mengontruksi realitas berita tersebut dengan menghasilkan konten kepada khalayakl dilihat daril beberapa strukturl kalimat danl retorika yangl ditonjolkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan realitas pemberitaan Permendikbudristek Nomor 30 Tahun 2021 Tentang PPKS melalui framing yang dibangun oleh Kompas.com dan Detik.com. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan kualitatif dengan paradigma kontrukstivisme, yaitu sebuah paradigma yang akan memaknai realita sosial dari berbagai aspek realita yang terjadi pada objek penelitian. Analisis framing menggunakan model Zhongdang Pan dan Gerald M. Kosicki. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kompas.com dan Detik.com tidak menampik sensitifitas nilai berita dari pemberitaan peraturan tersebut namun kedua media online lebih menjunjung prinsip kebijakan redaksional yang tertanam dalam ideologi mereka.     Kehadiran smartphone dan akses internet memudahkan penikmat sepak bola dimana sekarang setiap pertandingan dapat ditonton dimanapun dan kapanpun tanpa harus langsung datang ke stadion. Di sisi lain dampak dari banyaknya pengguna internet jika tidak dibarengi dengan literasi media yang baik akan menimbulkan suatu masalah, yaitu salah satunya adalah cyberbullying. Tujuan dari penelitian ini dilakukan adalah untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis cyberbullying yang dilakukan suporter sepak bola Indonesia pada Instagram @blackpinkofficial. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah analisis isi kualitatif. Sebanyak empat postingan beserta kolom komentar Instagram @blackpink official dijadikan unit analisis untuk dikaji. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari analisis menunjukkan terdapat jenis-jenis cyberbullying menurut Price and Dalgeish (2010) yang dilakukan oleh suporter sepak bola pada Instagram @blackpinkofficial. Sebanyak 180 komentar 67 diantaranya mengandung Called Name (Pemberian nama), 81 Opinion Slammed (Opini menghina), dan 32 Threatened Physical Harm (Ancaman fisik). Hal tersebut terjadi karena bentuk pelampiasan kekecewaan suporter sepak bola terhadap ditundanya laga Liga 1 akibat adanya konser yang akan dilakukan oleh Blackpink di Jakarta

      The news of the viral pornographic video case involving Gisella Anastasia in the detik.com news portal received high attention from the public. The comments column on news portals is filled with various kinds of public opinion. The researcher chose 2 corpus of news from detik.com news portal on the day of the incident. The data obtained were then analyzed using the Sara Mills discourse analysis method. From the discussion, the researcher sees that Gisella Anastasia as a woman and a public figure is shown as a negative character in this case. In addition, Gisel is also positioned as an object in several sentences in the 2 selected news corpus. The researcher sees that the patriarchal discourse in Indonesia still positions women and public figures as figures who have high news value, and are vulnerable to being positioned unequally. The discourse of patriarchal ideology is still visible in several narratives and readings of the production and consumption of public discourse on news portals in particular and public discourse in general

    Understanding the Corruption Meaning among Malang City People in a Sociocultural Context: A Communicative Phenomenological Study using the Gadamer Approach

    This research was aimed to reveal the understanding of corruption by Malang City people as the conscious understanding from expressions or statements. These diverse meanings become an important subject matter for evaluation and composition of anti-corruption programs based on effective communication. This research methodology was interpretive phenomenology. The results showed various meanings for term “corruption”. It meant as: 1) taking something or rights that belong to others, that one was not rightfully entitled; 2) behaviors that were encouraged by impulses of personal wishes or desires due to greed, conducted by actors that lack sincerity in what they do as well as good character; 3) taking away public rights for private interests; 4) obtaining personal gains by utilizing existing authority to detriment of others; 5) behaviors usually conducted by political elite; 6) same as theft or stealing but conducted by a perpetrator or the groups. These understandings of corruption among the people were understood through three fundamental questions in revealing the understanding of corruption by people. The fundamental questions involved how corruption occurs, what were the motives of corruption, and who were the corruption actors. Researchers concluded that understanding of corruption among the people was very diverse because it was determined by conscious understanding of each individual; the reveal of these meanings of corruption would make it easier to place them within educative measures for people by related instances, unifying equal meanings in an anti-corruption program based on effective communication referring to normative standards.     Advertising is a form of mass media product that presents various benefits. In modern times, advertising has developed so that it is made in new media in the form of social media. This study discusses the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture's "Tukar Tempat" advertisement, which is an audio-visual advertisement has been published on the Cerdas Berkarakter Kemendikbud RI Youtube channel. Tukar Tempat is a public service advertisement with the theme of gender with the issues discussed in this study the gender role of the husband figure who also has a background in the Covid-19 pandemic phenomenon which has an impact on the realm of domestic life. The purpose of this study is to determine the representation of gender roles in Tukar Tempat as public service advertisements with John Fiske's semiotic analysis in 12 scenes. This research is a descriptive qualitative research using John Fiske's semiotic analysis which consists of the level of reality, the level of representation, and the level of ideology. The data collection technique uses primary sources in the form of scene snippets of the "Tukar Tempat" video advertisement on YouTube and secondary sources from books, journals and relevant articles. The results of the study show that the depiction of gender roles in the reality level shows characteristics of masculinity, the level of representation of gender roles in the domestic sphere is weak, and the level of advertising represents gender roles followed by ideologies, gender, feminism, masculinity, patriarchy and matriarchy, domesticity, male chauvinism

    SEMIOTIC ANALYSIS OF MULTICULTURALISM REPRESENTATION ON CHILD CHARACTERS IN THE FILM “CUTIES”

    This study focused on the multiculturalism representation of child characters in the movie “Cuties” (2020), directed by Maimouna Doucoure. The research was interesting as it represented the child characters into multiculturalism issues which became the central problem in “Cuties”. The data was obtained in the form of movie scenes that presented the structure of multiculturalism issues. These issues were shown both visually and narratively. The study was a descriptive qualitative study using a semiotic analysis method that referred to the John Fiske model, which consisted of reality level, representation level, and ideology level. The symbols in the movie scenes represented the multiculturalism in “Cuties”. This multiculturalism could convey the diversity and differences in French society. The result of study indicated that multiculturalism was shown by the process of accepting a new culture, which was represented through attitude, behavior, narration, and other aspects in the movie through the characterization of Amy as the child character. Besides, the existence of this multiculturalism process could construct the identity formation in anyone without exception to a child
