Comparison of battery electric vehicle and hybrid electric vehicle
The topic of electric vehicles is popular nowadays, as electric vehicles, during their exploitation, leave less emission compared to internal combustion engine vehicles. Thus, according to [1], if in 2020, electric vehicle sales were only 4%, in 2022, this value has skyrocketed to 14%, .The term “electric vehicle” (EV) generally refers to a vehicle that is driven by an electric motor powered by a self-contained power source. In this article we will discuss about two varieties of electric vehicles: Battery EV (BEV) and Plug-In Hybrid EV (PHEV). Look at their positive and negative sides, from the point of view of an ordinary user and make a definite conclusion on this basis
Research of energy characteristics of photobioreactor in the process of generation of new biomass
Досліджено режими роботи системи регенерації хімічної енергії діоксиду вуглецю відповідно до запропонованої методики та встановлено раціональні параметри функціонування фотобіореактора під час генерації нової біомаси.The regimes of the system of chemical energy regeneration of carbon dioxide are investigated in accordance with the proposed methodology and the rational parameters of the functioning of the photobioreactor during the generation of the new biomass are established
Optimization of hybrid energy storage system for electric vehicles
The paper deals with improvement of efficiency of energy storage devices for electric vehicles. The benefits and features of the hybrid energy storage system based on the batteries and ultracapacitors are described. The possible topologies and common schematics of bi-directional DC/DC converters for energy storage are analyzed in terms of efficiency, reliability and battery maintenance. An algorithm for optimization of its parameters is developed, analyzed, shown and explained in detail. The surfaces, which show the dependence between required battery and ultracapacitors’ capacities, energy storage cost and battery discharge ratio are obtained and analyzed. Conclusions are drawn concerning optimization strategy and results of optimization with possible further improvements
Phase relations in the ZrO2-FeO system
We present the results of the investigation of the ZrO2-FeO system under an inert atmosphere. We have refined the position of the eutectic point, which lies at 1332 ± 5°C and 10.3 ± 0.6 mol % ZrO 2. The iron oxide solubility boundaries in zirconium dioxide have been determined over a wide temperature range taking into account the polymorphism in ZrO2. A phase diagram for the system has been designed. © Pleiades Publishing, Inc., 2006
