    A study of the factors influencing the environmental consciousness of consumers

    In recent years the intensified consumer-consciousness has clearly determined the decisions of the consumers. A primary research was carried out among students in Hungary in the spring of 2010, which focused on a special segment, the attitude of the environment-conscious consumers and the demographic features affecting them. The decisions of the environment-conscious consumers, who keep in mind the inte - rest of others, are clearly determined by the factors such as which lifecycle they are in, social status, marital status, gender and qualifications. According to research result the female members (in relationship, with children and high qualifications) of the elder generation group are significantly more environment-conscious than those with other demographic features. The research also pointed out that from the environment-con - sciousness point of view not all the demographic features are influencing factors. The role of income and place of residence is not relevant from this point of view. However, the significance of the attitudes from the research point of view are very important as there is a medium, and positive correlation between the actual behaviour and attitudes

    A vállalatok társadalmi felelősségvállalása és a felelős vállalatirányítás meghatározó tényező a hosszú távú vállalati stratégia megalapozása, a versenyképesség és a fogyasztói lojalitás megőrzése szempontjából. Az elmúlt időszakban kissé megfakult bizalmi környezetben (foglalkoztatáspolitikai, élelmiszer és egyéb botrányok, pénzpiaci dereguláció stb.) különösen meghatározó kérdéssé vált a CSR, melynek eszközrendszere számos lehetőséget biztosít a döntéshozók számára, hogy valamennyi érintett elégedett legyen. Ám a vállalatirányítás marsallbotja a vezető kezében van. A CSR-központú vállalatirányítás meghatározó eleme maga a vezető, s annak elkötelezettsége, habitusa, etikai tartása, hajlama, szocializációs tapasztalata. A kutatás egy olyan vizsgálati eredményt mutat be, mely a kis- és középvállalatok vezetőinek CSR-központú irányítási szemléletét, beállítódását vizsgálja. A vezetők, CSR-attitűdjüket tekintve, három, egymástól jól elhatárolható vállalatvezetői csoportba sorolhatók: a hagyományos, semleges és modern CSR-nézetet valló vállalatvezetői klaszterekbe. A vizsgálat során meghatározott vezetői szegmensek jól pozicionálható, jól célozható csoportokat képeznek, mely a jövő felelős vállalatirányításának szempontjából biztató, mert a kis- és középvállalkozók többsége, CSR-attitűdjüket tekintve már túllépett a kizárólag tulajdonosi érdeket szem előtt tartó, hagyományos nézeten

    The examination of Educational System at the Industry 4.0 among lecrurers

    The Industry 4.0 is no longer fiction, it is reality nowadays. Although in recent years several measures, government activities, projects and increased R&D resources have motivated and assisted companies in their innovation activities. This resource will be not enough to the transition because the main resources, the qualified employees, are lacking from the system. The education shows a strong fallback compared to Industry 4.0. The primary research examines the education system from Industry 4.0 point of viewA primary research was carried out among lecturers at the campuses of the Eszterhazy Karoly University in Hungary in 2018, which focused on the education system from the point of view of Industry 4.0. The research applied the face – to – face one -on -one in-depth interview method. According to the opinion of the interviewed lecturers, communication is much faster and more effective today than before, and they agreed that the development of technology and digitalisation requires new challenges, modern and pragmatic knowledge, the development of new skills and abilities. However, the current technologies in the education has some deficiencies and the education system is not necessarily capable of preparing students with the expectations of the fourth industrial revolution.     IMPACT OF LOW-RATE SUBSTRATE REMOVAL ON THE PERFORMANCE OF DENITRIFYING SYSTEMS

    Strict effluent N criteria may also require the use of slowly biodegradable substrate as carbon source for denitrification. The paper draws attention to the fact that oxygen penetration through the surface of uncovered denitrification basins may significantly deteriorate the efficiency when substrate removal rate is low, whereas at high consumption rates this impact may prove to be negligible. Results of comparative lab-scale experiments carried out in both batch and continuous-flow operation revealed that the reason why denitrification rates are much more severely affected at low substrate consumption rates is the increased dissolved oxygen concentration that occurs due to the decreased ability of its removal. In the comparative batch experiments a zero-head-space reactor and a reactor with an open surface were applied using different samples of preclarified wastewater deriving from an existing treatment plant. In the continuous-flow experiment two differently arranged activated sludge systems were operated simultaneously, fed by a model wastewater containing peptone as carbon source. The total reactor volume serving predenitrification was identical in both arrangements; however, in one of the systems it was compartmentalized into three reactors. None of the reactors were covered in this experiment. The dissolved oxygen concentration raised significantly in both of the batch and continuous-flow experiments when the readily biodegradable substrate had been depleted. The results supported that in cases when readily denitrifiable carbon source is not in a pronounced excess, staging of anoxic reactors may significantly improve the efficiency of denitrification through maintaining relatively high substrate removal rate and thereby low oxygen concentration in the first basins

    CORPORATE ENTREPRENEURSHIP RESPONSIBILITY (CER) IMPLEMENTATION IN THE LIGHT OF ZAIN JORDAN

    Generating new ideas, approaches, and models in social sciences- and all sciences- is essential for the world’s sustainability and development. Corporate Entrepreneurship Responsibility (CER) is a newly introduced tool in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region towards building region-wide entrepreneurship ecosystems. In this research, we are aiming to study the CER in-depth through a qualitative case study of a telecommunication company in Jordan, Zain Jordan, which established a division solely dedicated to the support and development of promising entrepreneurs in the county. To answer the research questions which focus on defining the CER for companies, present a strategy for the implementation of CER along with understanding the impact on the entrepreneurial society from establishing such concept or department in a company, and test whether CER could be considered part of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in a company; interviews were conducted with professionals from the CER and CSR departments at Zain Jordan, in addition to a random sample of the entrepreneurs who have been benefiting from CER division’s services. Also, analysis of the company’s reports was part of the research paper’s methodology. As a result, capital and investment, as thought by many to be the basic step of establishing and growing a business, were not considered as such. Three main factors for sustaining and growing a start-up business have been discussed: fully equipped workspace, mentorship programs, and a base of networks for the entrepreneurs. Hence, this research is a contribution to present a newly adopted business approach to support entrepreneurs and young businesses in a developing country.&nbsp

    Stopping light in two dimensional quasicrystalline waveguides

    The introduction of defects in photonic lattices generally allows to control the localization and the propagation of light. While point defects are conventionally used in order to obtain localized photonic states, linear defects are introduced for waveguiding EM waves. In this work we demonstrate the possibility of obtaining localized states also in a waveguiding configuration, by using quasicrystalline lattices. This result opens a new range of possibilities in designing optical circuits, in which the localization- propagation switch is easly obtainable by mechanical or opto-electric methods

    Difficulties in the diagnosis of periapical translucencies and in the classification of cemento-osseous dysplasia

    Cemento-osseous dysplasia is a benign fibro-osseous lesion of the tooth-bearing region of the jaws with a periodontal ligament origin. It appears predominantly in Black and Asian middle-aged females. Its importance is that it could mimic a periapical lesion in the early, translucent stage.In this report a rare case of familial cemento-osseous dysplasia is presented: a 50-years old Caucasian woman with labial paraesthesia and radiological translucency around the roots of the mandibular incisors and the first molar teeth. The lesion around the first molar was diagnosed as periapical granuloma and a root canal treatment was carried out. The diagnosis of florid cemento-osseous dysplasia and the treatment plan based on two- and three-dimensional radiographic examinations were certified histologically after surgical removal of the lesion. We screened the family members - including the patient's mother, daughter and son - and identified a periapical version of cemento-osseous dysplasia in the daughter. Our case highlights the difficulties of differential diagnosis of cemento-osseous dysplasia and other periapical pathologies. The inconsistencies in the present classification of cemento-osseous dysplasia are also discussed with a proposal for a different classification based on new aspects that would be very helpful in setting up a correct treatment plan.Differentiation of endodontic and non-endodontic origin of radiolucency and distinguishing it from anatomical landmarks by appropriate clinical evaluation and using vitality testing can give an opportunity to prevent unnecessary endodontic treatment. The current categories of cemento-osseous dysplasia classification do not cover the early stage of a hereditary florid form of cemento-osseous dysplasia. Instead of anatomical location of the lesion, clinical and genetic features may be recommended as parameters of cemento-osseous dysplasia classification

    Elméleti háttér: Az elmúlt évtizedekben, különösen a 2000-es évek óta, a HR-innováció és az azokhoz kapcsolódó trendek a globális üzleti világ fontos kérdéseivé váltak. A témát sok megközelítésből vizsgálták már, mégis – állandó változása miatt – a mai napig a tudományos élet különleges és érdeklődésre számot tartó területe maradt. Jelen kutatás az álláskeresők munkahelyválasztási döntést befolyásoló tényezőit vizsgálja. Kutatási cél: A kutatás elsődleges célja, hogy feltárja a munkakeresők álláskeresési preferenciáit, a választott álláskeresési platformokat. Továbbá célja volt, hogy megismerje, mely tényezők befolyásolják munkahelyválasztási döntéseiket. Anyag és módszer: A primer kutatás lefolytatására Magyarországon élő álláskeresők körében 2019-ben került sor. A kutatás adatbázisát a Heves megyében élő munkaképes korosztály kérdőíves lekérdezése képezte. Kutatási eredmények: Az empirikus kutatás fontos eredménye, hogy a munkahelyválasztási döntését befolyásoló tényezők alapján (egyéni készségek, képességek; egyéni készségeket vállalati oldalról támogató és külső környezeti tényezők szerint) sikerült három egymástól jól elhatárolható, releváns álláskeresői csoportot azonosítani, melyek a következők voltak: vállalati támogatást fontosnak tartó csoport, a semleges és az egyéni készségek önálló fejlesztését fontosnak tartó szegmens. Ezek az álláskeresői szegmensek – a munkahelyválasztási döntést befolyásoló tényezőket tekintve – karakterisztikusan eltérnek egymástól, így a jövőbeli lehetőségek szempontjából ezek a szegmensek jól pozícionálható és jól megcélozható csoportokat képeztek. Background. In the last few decades, especially since the 2000s, the HR innovation and new trend at the field of human resource have become important issues. This field has been studied from several different angles, however, because of its constant change it is still an area of interest. The present study focuses on the factors influencing job choice decision from the job-seeker point of view. Research aims. The primary research examines the job search preferences of job-seekers and the chosen job search platforms. Other hand the research was to find out the factors influencing the job choice decision of job-seekers. Methodology. A primary research was carried out among job-seekers in Hungary in 2019. The target population comprised the working age population in Heves county This research focuses on presenting the results and findings of the quantitative analysis based on the responses given by the jobseekers. Key findings. An important result of the empiric research is that regarding the factors influencing their job choice decision three different job-seeker groups were identified. These are the followings: corporate support emphasized segment, neutral and self-development of the individual skill emphasized segment. The mentioned groups can be clearly distinguished from each other based on their job choice decision, hence the groups can be very well positioned and targeted
