Rainfall Variability Analysis of Jodhpur Tehsil, Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India

    Get PDF
Rainfall in India shows remarkable temporal and spatial variations. This characteristic affects the ground water levels and water levels of surface water bodies as well. This paper attempts to map and analyse the rainfall patterns of 30 years for Jodhpur tehsil by calculating the rainfall deviation with an intent to understand the impact on water logging and availability of water in the region

Robust Representation Learning with Self-Distillation for Domain Generalization

Domain generalization is a challenging problem in machine learning, where the goal is to train a model that can generalize well to unseen target domains without prior knowledge of these domains. Despite the recent success of deep neural networks, there remains a lack of effective methods for domain generalization using vision transformers. In this paper, we propose a novel domain generalization technique called Robust Representation Learning with Self-Distillation (RRLD) that utilizes a combination of i) intermediate-block self-distillation and ii) augmentation-guided self-distillation to improve the generalization capabilities of transformer-based models on unseen domains. This approach enables the network to learn robust and general features that are invariant to different augmentations and domain shifts while effectively mitigating overfitting to source domains. To evaluate the effectiveness of our proposed method, we perform extensive experiments on PACS [1] and OfficeHome [2] benchmark datasets, as well as a real-world wafer semiconductor defect dataset [3]. Our results demonstrate that RRLD achieves robust and accurate generalization performance. We observe an improvement in the range of 0.3% to 2.3% over the state-of-the-art on the three datasets.Comment: 6 page

Acute hepatic failure due to dengue: A case report

    Get PDF
Dengue is an arboviral disease endemic in many parts of the world. Although it is known to cause hepatic involvement commonly, it only occasionally results in acute hepatic failure. We present the case of a young male who developed acute hepatic failure due to dengue. The differentials and the management is discussed

Impact of Next Generation Cognitive Radio Network on the Wireless Green Eco system through Signal and Interference Level based K Coverage Probability

Land mobile communication is burdened with typical propagation constraints due to the channel characteristics in radio systems. Also, the propagation characteristics vary form place to place and also as the mobile unit moves, from time to time.Hence, the tramsmission path between transmitter and receiver varies from simple direct LOS to the one which is severely obstructed by buildings, foliage and terrain. Multipath propagation and shadow fading effects affect the signal strength of an arbitrary Transmitter-Receiver due to the rapid fluctuations in the phase and amplitude of signal which also determines the average power over an area of tens or hundreds of meters. Shadowing introduces additional fluctuations, so the received local mean power varies around the area –mean. The present paper deals with the performance analysis of impact of next generation wireless cognitive radio network on wireless green eco system through signal and interference level based k coverage probability under the shadow fading effects

Vesical calculus on the end of forgotten DJ stent: a case report

    Get PDF
Double J stent provides a convenient way of draining upper urinary tract. However it is associated with many complications of which forgotten stent and associated comorbidity is an important factor. Careful monitoring of patients could exclude any possibility of a stent being forgotten at all. We present a case report of such complication of forgotten stent with formation of stone at the vesical end of DJ stent

Computer Vision is the study of machines that extract information from an image and perform some processing on the captured images to extract necessary data to solve some task. As a scientic discipline, the study of computer vision is concerned with the theories behind articial systems that extract information from images. The image data could in several dierent forms and formats, such as video sequences, views from multiple cameras, or multi-dimensional data acquired from a medical scanner. As a technological discipline, computer vision intends to apply its theories and models to the construction and design of computer vision systems The role of computer vison in robots is providing detailed information about the environment. A robust vision system should be able to detect and identify objects reliably and provide an accurate representation of the environment to higher level processes. The vision system should also be highly ecient, allowing a resource limited agent to respond quickly to a changing environment. Each frame acquired by a digital camera must be processed in a small, usually xed, amount of time. Algorithmic complexity is therefore constrained, introducing a tradeo between processing time and the quality of the information acquired. In most robotic applications, the vision system is the main perception device and autonomous robots must be capable of using it in order to self-localize and locate the objects that they have to manipulate. The objective of the project was to build a computer controlled bot which could collect and deposit balls rolling down a ramp with the help of overhead/onboard camera. The ojective was achieved with the use of Motion History Image(MHI) based image processing algortihms and microcontroller based controling of motors
