Multidimensional tunneling between potential wells at non degenerate minima

We consider tunneling between symmetric wells for a 2-D semi-classical Schr\"odinger operator for energies close to the quadratic minimum of the potential V in two cases: (1) excitations of the lowest frequency in the harmonic oscillator approximation of V; (2) more general excited states from Diophantine tori with comparable quantum numbers.Comment: 6 pages, 1 figure, Conference Days on Diffraction 2014, Saint Petersburg, Russi

    Hard exclusive processes with photons

Virtual photons have proven to be very efficient probes of the hadronic structure, mostly through deep inelastic scattering and related processes. The advent of high luminosity lepton beams has allowed to enlarge the studied processes to hard exclusive reactions, such as deeply virtual Compton scattering and the electroproduction of mesons. We discuss theoretical progress which has lately been quite remarkable in this domain and first much encouraging experimental data.Comment: 3 pages, to be published in the proceedings of the International Conference on the Structure and Interactions of the Photon (Photon 2007) Paris, july 200

Gluon poles and photon distribution amplitudes in Drell-Yan-like processes

We calculate the hadron tensor related to the photon-induced Drell-Yan process, with incoming nucleon being transversally polarised. We predict the new single spin asymmetry which probes gluon poles and which is expressed in terms of photon (both chiral-odd and chiral-even) distribution amplitudes and chiral-odd nucleon function stemming from the nucleon transverse polarization.Comment: 6 pages, 3 figures; Appendix has been adde

On BLM scale fixing in exclusive processes

We discuss the BLM scale fixing procedure in exclusive electroproduction processes in the Bjorken regime. We show that in the case of vector meson production the usual way to aplly the BLM method fails due to singularities present in equations fixing the BLM scale. We argue that the BLM scale should be extracted from the squared amplitudes which are directly related to observables.Comment: accepted for the publication in Eur.Phys.J.
