Mesons in non-local chiral quark models
Vector meson correlators are studied in effective chiral quark models with
both local and non-local regulators. A set of sum rules based on dispersion
relations is derived, which allows for a comparison of model predictions to
data. We show that the two Weinberg sum rules for vector correlators hold in
the non-local model.Comment: 10 pp., presented at International Workshop on Hadron Physics:

Chiral waves in quark matter
A mini-review of non-uniform phases in quark matter is presented, with
particular attention to the pion condensation, also known as chiral density
waves or chiral spirals. The phase diagram of strongly-interacting matter may
involve such a phase, placed on the quarkyonic island between the baryonic
phase and the chirally-restored quark-gluon plasma.Comment: 10 pages, 3 figures, presented at HIC for FAIR Workshop, XXVIII Max

Transverse energy per charged particle at relativistic energies from a statistical model with expansion
Transverse energy and charged particle pseudorapidity densities at
midrapidity and their ratio, ,
are evaluated in a statistical model with longitudinal and transverse flows for
the wide range of colliders, from AGS to RHIC at GeV.
Evaluations are done at freeze-out parameters established independently from
fits to observed particle yields and spectra. Decays of hadron
resonances are treated thoroughly and are included in derivations of
and . The predictions of the model
agree well with the experimental data. However, some (explicable)
overestimation of the ratio has been observed.Comment: Revtex, 11 pages, 1 figure (included), The revised version with the
title changed and new conclusions added, to appear in Eur. Phys. J.
Longitudinal correlations in the initial stages of ultra-relativistic nuclear collisions
In this talk we review some of our results for the longitudinal correlations
in connection with recent experimental data, in particular for the {\em torque}
effect and for the two-particle correlations in pseudorapidity,
. The model framework involves event-by-event fluctuations of
the initial conditions, followed with 3D viscous hydrodynamic evolution and
statistical hadronization.Comment: 6 pages, talk presented by WB at ISMD 201
