In this Research work, simulation model of typical canal kind small hydro-electric power plant developed through model inter-connection of assorted equipments of plant into consideration during MATLAB/SIMULINK based mostly package surroundings. Varied elements of tiny electricity plant, governor, semi-Kaplan turbine and open channel. Synchronous exciter, generators are being thought about below modeling and simulation. Aim is to check its behavior throughout transient condition. Victimization simulated model sweetening through Fuzzy logic controller are done to scale back oscillations, peak overshoot and peak undershoot throughout transient amount and additionally to enhance steady state response this invalidator prices and safety conditions, in choosing simplest alternatives within early phase of design and to see devices. Using fuzzy logic, the turbine response max overshoot is 0.25 and stabilizes at 0.36. Whereas using PID the turbine response max overshoot is 0.38 and stabilizes at 0.8. Without any controllers the max overshoot is 0.39 and stabilizes at 0.9. DOI: 10.17762/ijritcc2321-8169.150614

We often wonder what would be the relevance of the message of a monk today, who was born more than 100 years ago, lived the life of a mendicant and left for his heavenly abode at a very young age of 39 years. In this paper, I would focus on the relevance of Swami Vivekananda philosophy of work in modern era. Swami Vivekananda taught on both broad and very deep aspects (not restricted to India alone) encompassing Spiritualism, Universal values, Religion, Character building, Education, Spirit of Service and Social issues. Teachings and philosophy of Swami Vivekananda stressed on different aspects of religion, youth, education, faith, character building as well as social issues pertaining to India. His teachings influenced contemporaries, inspired innumerable followers and started off movements all over India. Swami Vivekananda symbolizes courage, boundless energy and fiery enthusiasm. Millions have been influenced just by his personality. His words ring true and shake people out of their passivity, laziness, weakness, Inertia and sufferings. The ideas of Swami ji have been seen through various eyes and new light has been thrown upon these ideas

Multidimensional Focus on Linguistic Landscape at Tourist Places: A Case Study of Mumbai

    Get PDF
Tourism and language are closely related. A language not only serves as a Communication Tool (CT) between hosts and guests but also can be developed into tourist attractions. Tourism Development (TD) has proved to have important impacts on languages. The present study attempts to fill this gap by investing the impacts of tourism on the Hindi, English and Marathi language in Mumbai, one of the most famous tourism destinations in India.  Hindi seems to be widely used at public places. Linguistic Landscape (LL) refers to the written languages used in public spaces, such as road signs, warning signs, private business signs, etc. Linguistic Landscape (LL) analysis has become the central theme of this study

ANTI-OXIDANT POTENTIAL OF BAEL {AEGLE MARMELOS (L) CORR} FRUIT IN EXPERIMENTAL GASTRIC ULCERATED RAT

The present investigation of unripe fruit of A. marmelos was done to the study their antioxidant and free radical scavenger activity in experimental gastric ulcerated animals. The rats were given EtOH extract of herbal drug Aegle marmelos fruit extract (50 to 200 mg/kg) and control drug ranitidine (50 mg/kg) orally, twice daily for 5 days and on day 6 of experiment, 1 hour prior to subjecting the animal to stress or necrotizing concentration of respective irritants. Rats were then subjected to CRS in the absence and presence of cytoprotective irritant or herbal drugs. The fundic part of the stomach is homogenized (5%) in ice cold 0.9% saline with a Potter-Elvehjem glass homogenizer for 30 sec. the homogenate were centrifuged at 8,000 rpm for 10 min followed by centrifugation of the supernatant at 12000 rpm for 15 min in a sigma laboratory centrifuges 3K30 and the obtained mitochondrial fraction and further this fraction was used for the estimation of LPO product malondialdehyde. Further SOD and CAT was estimated. The study revealed that the 50% fruit extract dose dependently protected the oxidative stress and showed a tendency to decrease in volume acid-pepsin concentration and output. Reference drug rantidine a known cytoprotective agent has little effect on volume acid and pepsin concentration and acid output but showed a significant reduced in peptic output reduced LPO level and increase SOD and CAT level. The outcome indicate that the 50% ethanolic extract of A. marmelos fruit might have protected the rat tissues from ASP, PL, CRS and alcohol induced oxidative stress through anti-oxidant mechanism

A unique indigenous justice delivery system of tribes of eastern Himalayan region of India

    Get PDF
Almost all the tribes across the world have their own indigenous concept of rules, regulation and grievance redress system developed with the evolution of the community to maintain peace, justice and harmony. The indigenous people takes law as a way of life and understand it through experience and interactions. The objective of the current research was to study one unique justice delivery system to address non-criminal cases that cannot be dealt with normal procedure due to lack of evidence, witness and formal proof. The system is prevailing among the tribes of eastern Himalayan region of India. The phenomenological approach was used to study the system as it is in situ. The justice is delivered on the basis of unique system of decision making between two alternatives based on the shape of chicken liver. Involvement of spirituality and spirit make the system acceptable to both the complainant and defendant. The unique characteristic of the system is that it does not penalize the loser, instead the court pray for them and bless them for abiding the decision of the court in presence of the spirit. The justice delivery system aims to maintain harmony in the society as well as save the face of both the loser and winner. In the present system, the justice delivered may be not the just decision, but the loser accepts the decision considering it as the command of the god and spirit without keeping any grudges against the winner. The system demands participation of whole village irrespective of gender and ages, with fundamental aim of preserving the custom and hand down to the next generation

CO2 emission based GDP prediction using intuitionistic fuzzy transfer learning

The industrialization has been the primary cause of the economic boom in almost all countries. However, this happened at the cost of the environment, as industrialization also caused carbon emissions to increase exponentially. According to the established literature, Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is related to carbon emissions (CO2) which could be optimally employed to precisely estimate a country's GDP. However, the scarcity of data is a significant bottleneck that could be handled using transfer learning (TL) which uses previously learned information to resolve new tasks, more specifically, related tasks. Notably, TL is highly vulnerable to performance degradation due to the deficiency of suitable information and hesitancy in decision-making. Therefore, this paper proposes ‘Intuitionistic Fuzzy Transfer Learning (IFTL)’, which is trained to use CO2 emission data of developed nations and is tested for its prediction of GDP in a developing nation. IFTL exploits the concepts of intuitionistic fuzzy sets (IFSs) and a newly introduced function called the modified Hausdorff distance function. The proposed IFTL is investigated to demonstrate its actual capabilities for TL in modeling hesitancy. To further emphasize the role of hesitancy modelled with IFSs, we propose an ordinary fuzzy set (FS) based transfer learning. The prediction accuracy of the IFTL is further compared with widely used machine learning approaches, extreme learning machines, support vector regression, and generalized regression neural networks. It is observed that IFTL capably ensured significant improvements in the prediction accuracy over other existing approaches whenever training and testing data have huge data distribution differences. Moreover, the proposed IFTL is deterministic in nature and presents a novel way for mathematically computing the intuitionistic hesitation degree.© 2023 The Authors. Published by Elsevier B.V.
