Forgiving as emotional distancing

:In this essay, I present an account of forgiveness as a process of emotional distancing. The central claim is that, understood in these terms, forgiveness does not require a change in judgment. Rationally forgiving someone, in other words, does not require that one judges the significance of the wrongdoing differently or that one comes to the conclusion that the attitudes behind it have changed in a favorable way. The model shows in what sense forgiving is inherently social, shows why we should be pluralists about it, and provides a basis for arguing against the existence of necessary conditions of forgiving

Out of habit

This paper argues that habits, just like beliefs, can guide intentional action. To do this, a variety of real-life cases where a person acts habitually but contrary to her beliefs are discussed. The cases serve as dissociations showing that intentional agency is possible without doxastic guidance. The upshot is a model for thinking about the rationality of habitual action and the rationalizing role that habits can play in it. The model highlights the role that our history and institutions play in shaping what actions become habitual for us

Iberian Tourism: heritage and tourism sector in Spanish ham

Con la denominación genérica de turismo rural, se vienen poniendo en práctica múltiples iniciativas turísticas en las regiones rurales de Europa. Bajo esta marca se ofrecen servicios generados en torno a determinados valores patrimoniales de las sociedades locales. Estos valores culturales y naturales, son además los componentes en los que se basan las certificaciones de productos agroalimentarios distintivos. Uno de ellos es el jamón ibérico, en torno al cual se han creado tanto etiquetas de calidad certificada como iniciativas turísticas. En este trabajo analizaremos lainterrelación entre tres variables como son las etiquetas de calidad certificada del jamón ibérico, el turismo y el patrimonio cultural, una asociación que hemos catalogado como turismo del ibérico.With the generic concept rural tourism, are being implemented multiple tourism initiatives in rural regions of Europe. Under this particular brand are offered services generated around certain values of local societies. These cultural and natural values, are also components based on certifications distinctive food products. One is the Iberian ham, around which were created both quality labels certified and tourism initiatives. In this paper we analyze the interrelationship between three variables such as quality labels certified ham, tourism and cultural heritage, an association that we have listed as the Iberian tourism

La creciente desconfianza de los consumidores hacia el sistema alimentario está favoreciendo la demanda de productos de calidad. La certificación de determinadas producciones agroalimentarias constituye la fórmula que garantiza esta nueva demanda social. La Denominación de Origen es una de las certificaciones más importantes. Está basada en factores ambientales, territoriales y humanos. De este modo, el uso y las tradiciones productivas locales determinan en gran parte la calidad de dichas producciones. En este texto analizamos el caso del jamón ibérico de bellota, para demostrar cómo la creación de su calidad se basa en una adecuada articulación entre tradición e innovación, es decir entre unos saberes locales, asociados al patrimonio cultural de territorios concretos y los nuevos requerimientos técnicos ligados a la producción de alimentos de calidad.The current demand for quality products is relate with the growing of consumers’s suspition to the food system. Building food quality: tradition, innovation and power in the Iberian DPO ham in Spain

La creciente desconfianza de los consumidores hacia el sistema alimentario está favoreciendo la demanda de productos de calidad. La certificación de determinadas producciones agroalimentarias constituye la fórmula que garantiza esta nueva diná-mica social. Una de las certificaciones más importantes es la Denominación de Origen (DOP). Está basada en factores ambienta-les, territoriales y culturales. De este modo, el uso y las tradiciones productivas locales determinan en gran parte la calidad de dichas producciones. En este texto analizamos el caso del jamón ibérico de bellota y sus DOP, para demostrar cómo estamos ante un proceso ciertamente complejo, en la medida que la construcción de la calidad se basa en la articulación entre tradición e innovación, es decir, entre unos saberes locales, asociados al patrimonio cultural de territorios concretos y los nuevos requerimientos técnicos ligados a la producción de alimentos de calidad. A partir de un trabajo de campo realizado en zonas de las regiones españolas de Extremadura y Andalucía, analizamos este proceso, para explicitar de qué modo se lleva a cabo la transición de un sistema de producción doméstico, a un proceso de elaboración industrial. Este proceso se sustenta, en gran medida, en el uso y apropiación de saberes y prácticas tradicionales por parte de los actuales agentes agroindustriales. Este caso empírico nos sitúa ante un interesante contexto donde se dan variables como la resignificación de valores patrimoniales usados ahora para construir una nueva imagen de la calidad alimentaria; una realidad con múltiples intereses, liderazgos y no exenta de tensiones inherentes al poder en pugna.Growing consumer distrust toward the food system is favoring the demand for quality products. The formula to guarantee this new social dynamic is the certificate ion of some agribusiness products. One of the most important certifications is the Protected Designation of Origin (PDO), which is based on environmental, territorial and cultural factors. Thus, the use and local production traditions largely determine the quality of these produces. This article analyzes the case of the Iberian ham de belotta (acorn) and its PDOs in order to demonstrate how complex this process is, insofar as quality construction is based on the link between tradition and innovation, ie, local knowledges associated with the cultural heritage of specific territories and the new technical requirements for quality food production. After an intensive fieldwork conducted in areas of the Spanish regions of Extremadura and Andalusia, we analyzed this process to understand how a household production system turns into to an industrial one. To a large extent, this process is based on the use and appropriation of traditional knowledge and practices by current agribusiness agents. This empirical case confronts us with an interesting context where variables such as the resignification of heritage values are used to build a new image of food quality. In brief, we are in front of a reality with multiple interests and leadership and not without the tensions inherent in the power struggle

Propuesta de triangulación de técnicas de credibilidad del testimonio (CBCA) en conjunto con el SEG de arce y fariña y el PCL-R de hare en agresores sexuales en el contexto colombiano

La siguiente investigación plantea una propuesta teórica para usar en conjunto las técnicas de credibilidad del testimonio (CBCA), el Sistema de Evaluación Global (SEG) y el PCL-R de Hare en agresores sexuales. Se realizó una revisión bibliográfica de la psicología forense, los agresores sexuales, parafilias, psicopatía, PCL-R, Credibilidad del testimonio y el SEG. En metodología se hizo un estudio de corte cualitativo con un diseño de investigación descriptivo y se recogió información a partir de un grupo de discusión. En los resultados se obtuvo que es de importancia antes de aplicar la propuesta revisar los documentos aportados al proceso, que se debe respetar el principio de no autoincriminación y que es de principal utilidad esta propuesta para evaluar a los agresores sexuales reincidentes especializados. Entre las conclusiones está que la propuesta puede ser utilizada en conjunto con otras pruebas psicotécnicas para aumentar su validez y confiabilidad, y que deben realizarse más investigaciones junto una validación y aplicación piloto a poblaciones con el fin de mejorar, desarrollar y perfeccionar la propuesta.The investigation makes a theoretical proposal by using the techniques of Witness Credibility (CBCA), Hare s PCL-R and Global Evaluation System (GES) in sexual aggressors. A bibliographical revision of the forensic psychology was made, along with sexual aggressors, paraphilias, psychopathy, PCL-R, Witness Credibility, and GES. It was made with a qualitative study with a descriptive investigation design while information was gathered by a discussion group. In results it was found that is if vital importance before applying the proposal, revising the documents brought to the process, also it was found that the no autoincrimination principle must be respected and most important, the principal utility of this proposal for the sexual specialized relapsing aggressors. In conclusions it is proposed that this investigation should be used among other psychometric tests in order to validity and reliability to be risen, and more investigations along with validations should be done so this proposal to be improved, developed and perfected.Psicólogo (a)Pregrad
