Higgs boson production through annihilation at threshold in NLO QCD
We present threshold enhanced NLO QCD corrections to inclusive Higgs
production through bottom anti-bottom annihilation at hadron colliders using
threshold resummed cross section. The resummed cross section is obtained using
factorization properties and Sudakov resummation of the inclusive cross
section. We use the recent results on threshold NLO corrections in QCD for
Drell-Yan production and three loop QCD corrections to Higgs form factor with
bottom anti-bottom quark to achieve this task. This is the first step towards
the evaluation of complete NLO result. We have numerically demonstrated the
importance of such corrections at the LHC.Comment: 15 pages, 1 figur

Performance Modelling and Analysis of a New CoMP-based Handover Scheme for Next Generation Wireless Networks. Performance Modelling and Analysis for the Design and Development of a New Handover Scheme for Cell Edge Users in Next Generation Wireless Networks (NGWNs) Based on the Coordinated Multi-Point (CoMP) Joint Transmission (JT) Technique
Inter-Cell Interference (ICI) will be one of main problems for degrading the performance of future wireless networks at cell edge. This adverse situation will become worst in the presence of dense deployment of micro and macro cells. In this context, the Coordinated Multi-Point (CoMP) technique was introduced to mitigate ICI in Next Generation Wireless Networks (NGWN) and increase their network performance at cell edge. Even though the CoMP technique provides satisfactory solutions of various problems at cell edge, nevertheless existing CoMP handover schemes do not prevent unnecessary handover initialisation decisions and never discuss the drawbacks of CoMP handover technique such as excessive feedback and resource sharing among UEs. In this research, new CoMP-based handover schemes are proposed in order to minimise unnecessary handover decisions at cell edge and determine solution of drawbacks of CoMP technique in conjunction with signal measurements such as Reference Signal Received Power (RSRP) and Received Signal Received Quality (RSRQ). A combination of calculations of RSRP and RSRQ facilitate a credible decision making process of CoMP mode and handover mode at cell edge. Typical numerical experiments indicate that by triggering the CoMP mode along with solutions of drawbacks, the overall network performance is constantly increase as the number of unnecessary handovers is progressively reduced
Two-Loop QCD Corrections to Higgs Amplitude
Exclusive observables involving Higgs boson in association with jets are
often well suited to study the Higgs boson properties. They are rates involving
cuts on the final state jets or differential distributions of rapidity,
transverse momentum of the observed Higgs boson. While they get dominant
contributions from gluon initiated partonic subprocesses, it is important to
include the subdominant ones coming from other channels. In this article, we
study one such channel namely the Higgs production in association with a jet in
bottom anti-bottom annihilation process. We compute relevant amplitude
up to two loop level in QCD where Higgs couples
to bottom quark through Yukawa coupling. We use projection operators to obtain
the coefficients for each tensorial structure appearing in this process. We
have demonstrated that the renormalized amplitudes do have the right infrared
structure predicted by the QCD factorization in dimensional regularization. The
finite parts of the one and two loop amplitudes are presented after subtracting
the infrared poles using Catani's subtraction operators.Comment: Published version; 25 pages, 2 figures; v2: analytically continued

Impact of gender on adherence to therapy
Non-adherence to prescribed medications has been the focus of much interest in the literature owing to the poor treatment outcomes and increased healthcare burden which ensue as a consequence. In order to develop targeted interventions to address treatment non-adherence, it is necessary to first understand the factors which may influence patients’ medication taking behaviour. It has been suggested that patient gender may be one such factor, where knowledge of its impact can have the potential to assist researchers and clinicians in pre-empting instances of non-adherence and allowing them to monitor patients more closely and intervene in a timely fashion if required. In this article, we explore the issue of gender and nonadherence by examining the findings of studies related to three key disease states. It is apparent that there are variations in research evidence on this topic and that it is likely that other factors such as regimen complexity and patient knowledge interplay and may also demonstrate a larger role in impacting adherence to therapy.peer-reviewe
Spin-2 Form Factors at Three Loop in QCD
Spin-2 fields are often candidates in physics beyond the Standard Model
namely the models with extra-dimensions where spin-2 Kaluza-Klein gravitons
couple to the fields of the SM. Also, in the context of Higgs searches, spin-2
fields have been studied as an alternative to the scalar Higgs boson. In this
article, we present the complete three loop QCD radiative corrections to the
spin-2 quark-antiquark and spin-2 gluon-gluon form factors in SU(N) gauge
theory with light flavors. These form factors contribute to both
quark-antiquark and gluon-gluon initiated processes involving spin-2 particle
in the hadronic reactions at the LHC. We have studied the structure of infrared
singularities in these form factors up to three loop level using Sudakov
integro-differential equation and found that the anomalous dimensions
originating from soft and collinear regions of the loop integrals coincide with
those of the electroweak vector boson and Higgs form factors confirming the
universality of the infrared singularities in QCD amplitudes.Comment: 20 pages, 2 figure
Pseudo-scalar Higgs Boson Production at Threshold NLO and NLL QCD
We present the first results on the production of pseudo-scalar through gluon
fusion at the LHC to NLO in QCD taking into account only soft gluon
effects. We have used the effective Lagrangian that describes the coupling of
pseudo-scalar with the gluons in the large top quark mass limit. We have used
recently available quantities namely the three loop pseudo-scalar form factor
and the third order universal soft function in QCD to achieve this. Along with
the fixed order results, we also present the process dependent resummation
coefficient for threshold resummation to NLL in QCD. Phenomenological
impact of these threshold NLO corrections to pseudo-scalar production at
the LHC is presented and their role to reduce the renormalisation scale
dependence is demonstrated.Comment: 34 pages, 17 figure
Jobs satisfaction mediates relationship between facets of job and citizenship behavior: a study of female employees of banking sector of Pakistan
Several articles have reported and discussed the job satisfaction and dissatisfaction of female workers in miscellaneous organizations. However, very few empirically-supported explanations have been given to explain how job satisfaction mediates the relationship between facets of job and citizenship behavior in banking sector of Pakistan and specially focusing on female employees. Probes into the explanations of determining how job satisfaction mediates the relationship between facets of job and citizenship behavior, the data were collected from female employees of banking sector of Pakistan. Total 200 self-administered questionnaires were distributed among the female staff of different banks. 188 completed questionnaire were received back with response rate of 94%. The participation in survey was voluntary and confidentiality of responses was ensured. Statistical analysis reveals that there exists significant relationship between facets of job (pay, promotion, supervisor’s behavior and coworker’s behavior) and dependent variables (organizational citizenship behavior); likewise, job satisfaction mediates the relationship between facets of job and citizenship behavior. Limitations and future implementations of this research are also discussed
