Chicken farming is one of the most important industries in our country. Meanwhile, in chicken farming, breeders usually do not keep up with technological developments, breeders sometimes still use improvised tools for the process of hatching chicken eggs. Sometimes there are many obstacles experienced in hatching chicken eggs, namely incubators that only use incandescent lights without any tools to regulate the humidity in the egg area because basically chicken eggs also need stable humidity for maximum results, there is no tool that can tell the temperature at chicken eggs are enough or excessive, and there is a lack of attention in hatching the chicken eggs. So it is not controlled when the eggs have hatched and the incubator situation is not controlled during the chicken egg hatching process. And in this research the author aims to regulate the temperature and stabilize the humidity of the eggs in the egg environment so that the eggs can hatch with good quality using the Arduino Nano microcontroller

In this Final Project research, an analysis of Vehicle Operational Costs (BOK) is carried out for LCGC (Low Cost Green Car), and MPV (Multi Purpose Vehicle) fueled by pertalite and Pertamax was carried out on Ahmad Yani street. The purpose of this analysis is to determine the performance of the Ahmad Yani Road section, so it is necessary to analyze the Vehicle Operating Cost (BOK) that experiences congestion and time delays when passing the road using the LAPI ITB method. In addition, an analysis of the value of time is also carried out which is the cost and time incurred due to congestion. Analysis of time value based on the average income of people working in the Ahmad Yani Street area by conducting interviews first. The results of the time value analysis can be analyzed for the calculation of cost loss due to congestion which is reviewed based on observation BOK and free flow BOK. Results of vehicle operating cost analysis for speed free flow is Rp. 2,107.71 for LCGC vehicles that use pertalite fuel, Rp. 2,292.33 for LCGC vehicles that use Pertamax fuel, Rp. 2,795.97 for MPV vehicles that use pertalite fuel, and Rp. 2,980.58 for MPV vehicles that use Pertamax fuel based on the LAPI ITB method. BOK analysis results were obtained based on the LAPI ITB method, the highest for LCGC and MPV vehicles that use Pertamax fuel respectively amounted to 2,973.86 rupiah and 3,627.24 rupiah with the same travel speed of 25 km / hour. The results of the time value analysis were obtained based on respondents' monthly income, which amounted to 42,097 rupiah / hour. The total value of cost loss due to the largest congestion when passing the Ahmad Yani Road section for LCGC and MPV vehicles respectively amounted to Rp12,236,536 km / hour, and Rp20,369,507 km / hour. Performance on Ahmad Yani street which is reviewed from the value of the degree of saturation and service level with category E for the direction of Malang to Surabaya at peak hours

    Managing Malaysian water resources development

    Get PDF
Water is a gift of God and Malaysia is rich in water resources. Water development has fueled socio-economic development of the country during the past decades.Dams and thousands of kilometres of pipes and canals divert water from the rivers to sustain domestic, industrial and agricultural needs. Lately, the water situation for the country has changed from one of relative abundance to one of relative scarcity. The population growth and the expansion in urbanisation, industrialisation and irrigated agriculture are imposing rapidly growing demands and pressure on the water resources, besides contributing to the rising water pollution. Water management is becoming increasingly comprehensive and complicated due to larger concentrations of population, commercial activities and industries around the cities and towns, increasing water consumption, increasing water pollution, increasing land use conflicts and climate changes. At the same time, development of new water resources to meet the ever increasing water demand is facing opposition from the environmentalists. Therefore, the preferred water supply management approach, whereby new supply sources are tapped to meet increasing demand should be replaced by water demand management approach, whereby efforts are directed towards managing the demand to keep it within available supply sources. Water demand management monitors and improves the efficiency of the supply system and all water users need to adjust their needs to the available water. The way forward to a prosperous and sustainable future is by keeping development to a level that is kept within the carrying capacity of the river basin while protecting and restoring the environment. As such, the water demand management should be practised within the broader context of integrated water resources management (IWRM). IWRM is an approach towards integrating and effectively coordinating policies, programs and practices addressing the water related issues which takes into consideration the aspects of socio-economic development and the conservation of the environment. The comprehensive management of water resources will cover three components namely, the management of water as a precious resource, the management of wastewater and water pollution, and the management of water related hazards such as floods, droughts and landslides. Whilst water related problems are essentially local issues, the solutions to such problems must be tackled from a broader perspective. These will require improved professional capability, and increased financial, legislative, managerial and political capacity

    Tax Pilferage—Causes and Cures

“Tax pilferage” is an English equivalent of the well-known Urdu phrase “Tax Chori”. The formal expression is tax evasion. To begin with, we draw a distinction between tax evasion and tax avoidance. Tax evasion is defined to include all illegal acts of omission and commission which result in tax loss to the exchequer. According to the United Kingdom Royal Commission on the Taxation of Profits and Income, the term “evasion” To be more specific, evasion refers to the nonpayment of tax as a result of failure to submit a return without reasonable excuse, or underpayment of tax, by submitting an incorrect return where incorrectness is due to gross neglect or fraud, or due to omission, or understatement of income or the deduction of an inadmissible or a fictitious expenditure, or loss.

Employee performance is essential in achieving organizational goals. Work-life balance and motivation need to be considered in supporting employee performance. The purpose of this research is to find out whether there is an influence of work-life balance and motivation on employee performance. The research method used is quantitative correlation. The subject in this study is someone who has worked as an employee as many as 384 people. Data analysis using multiple linear regression tests. The results of this study on work-life balance variables, especially in the demands dimension, have a negative influence on employee performance by 3.6%, while the resources dimension has a positive influence of 17.5%. The results of data analysis on motivation variables, especially in the physiological dimension, have a positive influence on employee performance by 21.9%, the security dimension has a positive influence on employee performance by 16.1%, the affiliation dimension has a positive influence on employee performance by 35.4%, the reward dimension has a positive influence on employee performance by 31.5%, and the self-actualization dimension has a positive influence on employee performance by 31%. Work-life balance and motivation together affect employee performance by 41.1%

    Evolutionary stability in quantum games

In evolutionary game theory an Evolutionarily Stable Strategy (ESS) is a refinement of the Nash equilibrium concept that is sometimes also recognized as evolutionary stability. It is a game-theoretic model, well known to mathematical biologists, that was found quite useful in the understanding of evolutionary dynamics of a population. This chapter presents an analysis of evolutionary stability in the emerging field of quantum games.Comment: 38 pages, 2 figures, contributed chapter to the book "Quantum Aspects of Life" edited by D.
