On the level raising of cuspidal eigenforms modulo prime powers

    Get PDF
In this article we prove level raising for cuspidal eigenforms modulo prime powers (for odd primes) of weight k2k\geq 2 and arbitrary character, extending the result in weight two established by the work of Tsaknias and Wiese and generalizing (partially) Diamond-Ribet's celebrated level raising theorems

Local constancy for reductions of two-dimensional crystalline representations

    Get PDF
We prove the existence of local constancy phenomena for reductions in a general prime power setting of two-dimensional irreducible crystalline representations. Up to twist, these representations depend on two parameters: a trace apa_p and a weight kk. We find an (explicit) local constancy result with respect to apa_p using Fontaine's theory of (φ,Γ)(\varphi, \Gamma)-modules and its crystalline refinement due to Berger via Wach modules and their continuity properties. The local constancy result with respect to kk (for ap0a_p\not=0) will follow from a local study of Colmez's rigid analytic space parametrizing trianguline representations. This work extends some results of Berger obtained in the semi-simple residual case.Comment: Comments are welcome

Martingale representations in dynamic enlargement setting: the role of the accessible jump times

Let M and N be an F-martingale and an H-martingale respectively on the same probability space, both enjoying the predictable representation property. We discuss how, under the assumption of the existence of an equivalent decoupling measure for F and H, the nature of the jump times of M and N affects the representation of the FVH-martingales. More precisely we show that the multiplicity of FVH depends on the behavior of the common accessible jump times of the two martingales. Then we propose an extension of Kusuoka's representation theorem to the case when the Brownian Motion is replaced by a semi-martingale which may jump at the default time with positive probability

Enlargement of filtration and predictable representation property for semi-martingales

We present two examples of loss of the predictable representation property for semi-martingales by enlargement of the reference filtration. First of all we show that the predictable representation property for a square-integrable semi-martingale X does not transfer from the reference filtration F to a larger filtration G when the information starts growing up to a positive time. Then we study the case when F coincides with the natural filtration of X and G is obtained by adding the natural filtration of a second square-integrable semi-martingale, Y. We establish conditions under which the triplet (X,Y,[X,Y]) enjoys the predictable representation property with respect to G.Comment: to appear on Stochastic

    A superconducting large-angle magnetic suspension

    Get PDF
The component technologies were developed required for an advanced control moment gyro (CMG) type of slewing actuator for large payloads. The key component of the CMG is a large-angle magnetic suspension (LAMS). The LAMS combines the functions of the gimbal structure, torque motors, and rotor bearings of a CMG. The LAMS uses a single superconducting source coil and an array of cryoresistive control coils to produce a specific output torque more than an order of magnitude greater than conventional devices. The designed and tested LAMS system is based around an available superconducting solenoid, an array of twelve room-temperature normal control coils, and a multi-input, multi-output control system. The control laws were demonstrated for stabilizing and controlling the LAMS system

The 43rd UID conference, held in Genova, takes up the theme of ‘Dialogues’ as practice and debate on many fundamental topics in our social life, especially in these complex and not yet resolved times. The city of Genova offers the opportunity to ponder on the value of comparison and on the possibilities for the community, naturally focused on the aspects that concern us, as professors, researchers, disseminators of knowledge, or on all the possibile meanings of the discipline of representation and its dialogue with ‘others’, which we have broadly catalogued in three macro areas: History, Semiotics, Science / Technology. Therefore, “dialogue” as a profitable exchange based on a common language, without which it is impossible to comprehend and understand one another; and the graphic sign that connotes the conference is the precise transcription of this concept: the title ‘translated’ into signs, derived from the visual alphabet designed for the visual identity of the UID since 2017. There are many topics which refer to three macro sessions: - Witnessing (signs and history) - Communicating (signs and semiotics) - Experimenting (signs and sciences) Thanks to the different points of view, an exceptional resource of our disciplinary area, we want to try to outline the prevailing theoretical-operational synergies, the collaborative lines of an instrumental nature, the recent updates of the repertoires of images that attest and nourish the relations among representation, history, semiotics, sciences
