The biological event of puberty unleashes a powerful set of changes in the adolescent body that reflect themselves in a teenager’s sexual, complete cognitive, language, social, emotional, cultural, and/or spiritual passion. Adolescence passion thus represents a significant touchstone for anyone who is seeking to reconnect with their deepest inner zeal for life. This is when the abilities are developed, and this development is based on the learning experience from both inside and outside home. Today, the world has become increasingly competitive, dynamic and multifaceted. This has led to the development of children’s abilities through structured activities and classes, which is becoming more popular and mind boggling, in addition to regular or formal education. This design was used to gather information about the young adolescents participating and also those not participating in ‘out-of-school’ activities. Efforts have been taken by the researcher to scrutinize the available resources and list the various activities available for the young adolescents. Questionnaire method is adopted for data collection and statistical tools used for analysis include Mean, Ranking and ANOVA. Data is interpreted and ideas for maintaining out of school activities in young adolescent are suggested in the conclusion

In the inland water bodies there are predators like crabs, certain type of eels which can destroy the nets and penetrate into the cage. In such water bodies Braided HDPE net having 2 mm to 2.5 mm thickness can be used as outer net to prevent the predators. Otherwise 1.5 mm twisted HDPE net can also be used. The specification of inner cage can be decided depending on the species, from HDPE 0.5 mm/10 mm mesh size to 1.0 mm/ 22 mm which will be cost effective and durable. Predator birds are also common hence proper prevention net also must be used

The case discusses the problems in achieving production efficiency at DIGI Camera, Malaysia. The parent company was established in Japan in 1928 and since then, had been consistently introducing new and advanced technologies in their line of products. The company introduced digital lens cameras in March 2001 and was struggling to meet the production targets because of high rejection rates. The company was respected for its high quality products and the current situation was completely unacceptable to the company’s top management. Through systematic analysis, the causes for high rejection rates were identified. The case provides information on the costs and benefits that could be obtained by eliminating these causes. This study illustrates how systematic analysis of quality problems can help generate viable solution alternatives and can help select the best alternative to implement

    A heuristic procedure for solving multi-plant, multi-item, multi-period capacitated lot-sizing problems

    Get PDF
This paper presents a heuristic procedure for solving multi-plant, multi-item, capacitated lot sizing problems with inter-plant transfers. The solution procedure uses the solution for the uncapacitated problem as a starting point. A smoothing routine has been employed to remove capacity violations. The smoothing routine consists of two modules. Extensive experimentation has been conducted comparing the heuristic solution procedure and LINDO. The heuristic has been implemented on IBM 3090 mainframe using FORTRAN
