    Anisotropic thermal expansion of bismuth from first principles

    Some anisotropy in both mechanical and thermodynamical properties of bismuth is expected. A combination of density functional theory total energy calculations and density functional perturbation theory in the local density approximation is used to compute the elastic constants at 0 K using a finite strain approach and the thermal expansion tensor in the quasiharmonic approximation. The overall agreement with experiment is good. Furthermore, the anisotropy in the thermal expansion is found to arise from the anisotropy in both the directional compressibilities and the directional Gr\"uneisen functions.Comment: accepted for publication in PR

    Sebagai ibu kota provinsi Jawa Tengah, Semarang merupakan kota dengan ekonomi yang berkembang. Perkembangan ekonomi tersebut bisa dilihat merupakan hasil dari kerjasama antara sektor- sektor yang berbeda. Dari semua bentuk sektor penghasilan, pariwisita merupakan salah satu sektor dengan kontribusi terbesar terhadap perkembangan ekonomu Semarang. Contoh bentuk pariwisita yang lagi dikembangkan saat ini adalah pariwisita MICE. Pariwisita tersebut menggabungkan pertemuan atau acara pameran dan konferensi dengan rekreasi. Seiring bertumbuhnya pariwisita yang datang ke Semarang setiap tahunnya, pariwisita MICE mempunyai potensi untuk membawa penghasilan empat kali lipat lebih banyak dari pariwisita konvensional. Supaya bisa mengikuti perkembangan tersebut, maka Convention dan Exhibition Center perlu dibangun. Arsitektur High-Tech akan diterapkan sebagai bentuk dari tema pendekatan arsitektur. Karena banyaknya inovasi di dalam perkembangan teknologi, ditambah juga dengan memnuhi keperluan kebutuhan ruang, maka konsep arsitektur tersebut dipilih. Konsep arsitektur High-Tech merupakan konsep yang mengimplementasikan teknologi terkini dan diintegrasikan dengan penampilan bangunan. Supaya bisa mengikuti perkembangan zaman, sebuah bangunan harus bisa tahan lama. Maka dari itu, pemilihan material dan penggunaan teknologi terkini harus diperhatikan. Bangunan Convention dan Exhibition Center memperlukan kegiatannya untuk bisa dilaksanakan tanpa adanya hambatan. Untuk itu, pendekatan struktur bangunan akan menggunakan struktur bentang lebar. Struktur bentang lebar bisa menampung kegiatan dan aktivitas tanpa adanya memerlukan kolom di tengah ruangan

    Influence of Disorder on the Hall Effect in Bi2_2Sr2_2CuO6+δ_{6+\delta}

    The in-plane resistivity and Hall coefficient have been measured for the single-layer compound Bi2_2Sr2_2CuO6+δ_{6+\delta} for the whole range of doping states. The deviation of the Hall coefficient, RHR_H, from a high-temperature linear behavior and the temperature dependence of the Hall angle are both only weakly dependent upon doping, contrasting with Bi2_2Sr2−x_{2-x}Lax_xCuO6+δ_{6+\delta} and Bi2_2Sr2_2CaCuO8+δ_{8+\delta}. This is in contradiction with former proposals that the transverse transport detects the formation of incoherent Cooper pairs in the pseudogap state. Conversely, the analysis of the data using a phenomenological angular dependent scattering rate clearly allows to distinguish between underdoped and overdoped states, and we propose that the maximum in RH(T)R_H(T) simply arises due to the combination of a large isotropic scattering rate and an anisotropic temperature dependent one

    Anisotropy of the in-plane angular magnetoresistance of electron-doed Sr1-xLaxCuO2 thin films

    Signatures of antiferromagnetism (AF) in the underdoped Ln2-xCexCuO4 (Ln = Nd, Pr,...) family are observed even for doping levels for which superconductivity exists. We have looked for a similar property in a different electron-doped cuprate family, Sr1-xLaxCuO2, which consists of CuO2 planes separated by Sr/La atoms, and is exempt of the possible influence of magnetic rare earth ions. We report in-plane magnetoresistance measurements in the normal state of underdoped, superconducting, c-axis oriented, epitaxial Sr1-xLaxCuO2 thin films. This probe is sensitive to spin arrangement and we find that the in-plane magnetoresistance, which is negative and does not saturate for T, exhibits an angular dependence when measured upon rotating a magnetic field within the CuO2 planes. The analysis reveals a superposition of fourfold and twofold angular oscillations. Both of these increase in amplitude with increasing field and decreasing and appear below a temperature, which gets higher with decreasing doping levels. Our results demonstrate that these magnetoresistance oscillations, also observed for the Ln2-xCexCuO4 (Ln = Nd, Pr,...) family and attributed to an AF signature, are, without ambiguity, a property of CuO2 planes. Besides, these oscillations vary with doping in an unusual way compared to previous results: fourfold oscillations are essentially present in the more underdoped samples while only twofold oscillations are visible in the less underdoped ones. This intriguing observation appears to be a consequence of spin dilution with increasing doping level.Comment: 25 pages, 6 figure

    Magnetoresistance and Hall effect in e-doped superconducting SrLaCuO thin films

    We have epitaxially grown c-axis oriented SrxLa1-xCuO2 thin films by rf sputtering on KTaO3 substrates with x = 0.12. The as-grown deposits are insulating and a series of superconducting films with various Tc(R=0) up to 26 K have been obtained by in-situ oxygen reduction. Transport measurements in the ab plane of these samples have been undertaken. We report original results on the temperature dependence of the Hall effect and on the anisotropic magnetoresistance (T > Tc). We discuss the magnitude of upper critical fields and anisotropy, the Hall effect, which presents changes of sign indicative of the existence of two types of carriers, the normal state magnetoresistance, negative in parallel magnetic field, a possible signature of spin scattering.     Current dependent fluctuations in a Bi2_2Sr2_2CuO6+δ_{6+\delta} thin film

    The current dependence of the excess conductivity is measured up to ≃3Tc\simeq 3 T_c for a Bi2_2Sr2_2CuO6+δ_{6+\delta} thin film, as a function of doping. It is found to be anomalously sensitive to the transport current and to behave as a universal function of T/TcT/T_c in the whole doping range. We discuss these results in the perspective of a granular superconductor with a gapless-like behavior

    Choques Monetários e Cambiais sob Regimes de Câmbio Flutuante nos Países Membros do Mercosul: Há Indícios de Convergência Macroeconômica?

    Este artigo analisa o comportamento das economias dos quatro países membros do Mercosul. O objetivo consiste em verificar se, sob regimes de câmbio flutuante, há sinais de convergência macroeconômica entre os países do Bloco. Para tanto, a simulação de choques com o uso de vetores auto-regressivos (VAR) visou comparar o funcionamento e os efeitos das políticas monetária e cambial dos países. Complementarmente, foram executados testes de exogeneidade, com o intuito de se efetuar uma análise comparativa, e de estabilidade, para avaliar a ocorrência de eventuais choques simétricos na região. Os resultados demonstraram que não há qualquer indício de convergência macroeconômica entre os países do Mercosul, pois além da elasticidade distinta entre as variáveis estimadas para cada um dos países e das diferenças na classificação da exogeneidade das variáveis, os diferentes períodos de instabilidade indicaram assimetria de choques entre os países da região.Coordenação Macroeconômica, Integração Econômica, Modelo VAR

    Hubungan Stigma Masyarakat dengan Penerimaan Keluarga pada Pasien Skizofrenia di Poliklinik RSJD Provinsi Jambi Tahun 2020

    ABSTRAK Kejadian kekambuhan pada penderita skizofrenia masih menunjukkan angka yang cukup tinggi terjadi di wilayah Provinsi Jambi, dimana salah satu faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi penerimaan keluarga yaitu stigma masyarakat yang dapat berupa Stereotype,Prejudice,Discrimination. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara stigma masyarakat dengan penerimaan keluarga pada pasien skizofrenia di Poliklinik RSJD Provinsi Jambi. penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan desain correlative dengan pendekatan cross-sectional dengan jumlah sampel 310 responden yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling sesuai dengan kriteria penelitian. Analisa data menggunakan uji korelasi spearman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara stigma masyarakat dengan penerimaan keluarga (p=0,000), dengan nilai tengah pada stigma masyarakat (22,00) dan nilai tengah pada penerimaan keluarga (79,00). Terdapat korelasi antara stigma masyarakarat dengan penerimaan keluarga pada pasien skizofrenia dengan arah korelasi negatif (r=-0,292) dengan hubungan yang lemah, semakin rendah stigma masyarakat maka penerimaan keluarga akan semakin baik. Petugas kesehatan dapat memperluas cangkupan penerimaan keluarga yang baik dengan melakukan kampanye antistigma, anti pasung dengan berfokus pada nilai-nilai positif yang ada pada masyarakat jambi.     Resistance noise in Bi_2Sr_2CaCu_2O8+δ_{8+\delta}

    The resistance noise in a Bi_2Sr_2CaCu_2O8+δ_{8+\delta} thin film is found to increase strongly in the underdoped regime. While the increase of the raw resistance noise with decreasing temperature appears to roughly track the previously reported pseudogap temperature for this material, standard noise analysis rather suggests that the additional noise contribution is driven by the proximity of the superconductor-insulator transition
