With the unfathomable number of medications that are available today due to medicinal advancements, there is room for error in the distribution of such medication even within proper pharmaceutical settings. Our primary goal is to reduce the overall contribution of a wide range of human errors in the dispersion of medication which is found to be an extremely large industry in today\u27s age while doing so in a cost effective manner. This is to be executed first using a robotic arm, to automate and create mobility, and second, including image verification, to classify and select pills based on certain characteristics. Through the incorporation of mixed-dose packaging, this product will generalize this service to larger markets such as hospitals and pharmacies that are otherwise only provided to individuals by third parties at an extra cost. Within our time frame, we have obtained successful dispensing for a preliminary set of pills based on color, size, and shape

Effect of Maillard Reaction on Tropomyosin Immunoreactivity in Mactra veneriformis

In this study, xylose and arabinose were subjected separately to Maillard reaction with a crude extract of Mactra veneriformis under dry-heating conditions. The immunoreactivity and digestion properties of the Maillard reaction products (MRPs) were analyzed, finding that the Maillard reaction could reduce the immunoreactivity of allergens derived from Mactra veneriformis, increase the continuous digestion rate of the crude extract in simulated gastrointestinal fluid, and reduce the particle diameter of the digestion products. After that, TM in the MRPs was separated and purified, and its structural characteristics and immunoreactivity were analyzed. The results showed that the α-helix content of TM decreased and the β-sheet, β-turn, and random coil contents increased after the Maillard reaction, the surface hydrophobicity increased, and the spatial structure changed, which eventually led to a reduction in the immunoreactivity of TM. FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG BERHUBUNGAN DENGAN KEJADIAN HIPERTENSI PADA WANITA USIA 45-60 TAHUN DI PUSKESMAS TLOGOSARI WETAN KOTA SEMARANG TAHUN 2016

Berdasarkan data WHO (2010), sebesar 40 % penduduk usia dewasa menderita hipertensi. Kasus penderita hipertensi di Puskesmas Tlogosari Wetan pada tahun 2013 jumlah penderita hipertensi usia 45-60 tahun pada laki-laki sebanyak 225 kasus dan perempuan sebanyak 1043, tahun 2014 pada penderita hipertensi laki-laki sebanyak 981 kasus dan perempuan 260, dan tahun 2015 sampai dengan bulan september pada penderita laki-laki 947 kasus dan perempuan 220 kasus. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui faktor – faktor yang berhubungan dengan kejadian hipertensi pada wanita usia 45 – 60 tahun di Puskesmas Tlogosari Wetan Kota Semarang Tahun 2016. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Observasional dengan rancangan studi case – control. Lokasi penelitian di Puskesmas Tlogosari Wetan Kota Semarang. Jumlah responden 138 sampel, terdiri dari 69 kasus dan 69 kontrol. Sampel diambil secara ConsecutiveSampling dengan teknik pengambilan data menggunakan kuesioner dan analisis dilakukan dengan menggunakan Uji Chi Square. Hasil penelitian ini adalah bahwa ada hubungan antara riwayat keluarga dengan kejadian hipertensi ( p= 0,01 ; OR= 28, 973 ; CI 95 % ) , ada hubungan antara obesitas dengan kejadian hipertensi ( p= 0,040 ; OR= 2, 035 ; CI 95 % ) ada hubungan kebiasaan olahraga dengan kejadian hipertensi ( p= 0,041 ; OR= 2,022 ; CI 95 % ) dan tidak ada hubungan antara penggunaan alat kontrasepsi dengan kejadian hipertensi ( p= 0,771 ; OR= 0, 844 ; CI 95 % ). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian di atas maka penulis menyarankan agar melakukan olah raga teratur minimal 3-4 kali per minggu, mengendalikan berat badan normal dengan makan – makanan yang sehat dan pentingnya melakukan pemeriksaan tekanan darah secara teratur khususnya apabila mempunyai riwayat keturunan hipertens

Effects of Ag2Mo2O7 nano-shapes on the mechanical and tribological properties of NiAl intermetallic compound over a wide temperature range

Ag2Mo2O7 has attracted considerable interest as excellent high-temperature solid lubricant. The effect of Ag2Mo2O7 nano-shape on the mechanical and tribological performances of NiAl-Ag2Mo2O7 composites was investigated in the study. Ag2Mo2O7 with three different shapes (nanowires, nanorods, and nanoparticles) were prepared by hydrothermal method. The synthesized Ag2Mo2O7 completely decomposes to Ag and MoO3 during sintering of NiAl-Ag2Mo2O7 composites. The decomposed Ag and MoO3 can improve the microhardness of the composites due to the grain refinement and enhancement of strain strength. In particular, Ag2Mo2O7 nanowires can increase the hardness of NiAl by 27%. With the specific decreasing of surface area of Ag2Mo2O7, the friction coefficients of the composites slightly decrease over a wide temperature range. Moreover, Ag2Mo2O7 could be obtained again by a high-temperature tribochemical reaction at 800 °C. The tribo-layer comprising NiO, MoO3, NiMoO4, and Ag2Mo2O7 renderes excellent tribological performances to the composites at 800 °C. Especially for the composite with addition of Ag2Mo2O7 nanoparticles, the friction coefficient and wear rate could be as low as 0.27 and 4.6 × 10−6 mm3/Nm respectively
