    Comparison of Tensile Bond Strength of Elastomeric Impression Material to Different Tray Materials in Different Surface Conditions: An in vitro Study

    Optimum bond between elastomeric material and custom tray decides accuracy and success of any prosthesis. Specimens of specific dimensions were made of DPI pink acrylic and MP SAI green tray acrylic resin and subjected to different surface treatments, namely sand papering, sandblasting and grooving; whereas control kept smooth. The 3M VPS adhesive was then applied, allowed to dry and 3M ESPE ExpressTM material then manipulated and allowed to set. All the study specimens were evaluated on Instron tensile testing machine for bond strength of tray adhesive between (i) elastomeric and different custom tray materials; and (ii) elastomeric and different surface conditions of trays. The sandpapered specimens of DPI acrylic resin were analyzed using ANOVA, one way classification Snedector’s ‘F’ test Newman- Keul test and showed least strength in the range 5.84 to 6.06 kg/cm2 and sandblasted MP SAI resin specimens showed highest strength in the range 7 to 7.72 kg/cm2. Also grooved group showed increase in strength compared to control in both materials tested. It was concluded that sandblasting is the best acceptable method and sandpapering should be avoided

The paper finds that country specific advantages play an important role in explaining Indian foreign acquisitions. The general model performs well and Indian institutional and domestic capital variables add explanatory value

    Analysis of Slice-Based Metrics for Aspect-Oriented Programs

    To improve separation of concerns in software design and implementation, the technique of Aspect-Oriented Programming (AOP) was introduced. But AOP has a lot of features like aspects, advices, point-cuts, join-points etc., and because of these the usage of the existing intermediate graph representations is rendered useless. In our work we have defined a new intermediate graph representation for AOP. The construction of SDG is automated by analysing the bytecode of aspect-oriented programs that incorporates the representation of aspect-oriented features. After constructing the SDG, we propose a slicing algorithm that uses the intermediate graph and computes slices for a given AOP. Program slicing has numerous applications in software engineering activities like debugging, testing, maintenance, model checking etc. To implement our proposed slicing technique, we have developed a prototype tool that takes an AOP as input and compute its slices using our proposed slicing algorithm. To evaluate our proposed technique, we have considered some case studies by taking open source projects. The comparative study of our proposed slicing algorithm with some existing algorithms show that our approach is an efficient and scalable approach of slicing for different applications with respect to aspect-oriented programs. Software metrics are used to measure certain aspects of software. Using the slicing approach we have computed eight software metrics which quantitatively and qualitatively analyse the whole aspect project. We have compiled a metrics suite for AOP and an automated prototype tool is developed for helping the process of SDLC

    Odontogenic Myxoma Of The Maxilla: A Clinical Case Report And Review Of Literature

    Odontogenic myxomas are rare benign mesenchymal  tumours of head and neck with a potential for  local infiltration and recurrence. They appear to originate from the dental papilla, follicle or periodontal ligament in mandible and less commonly the maxilla.These usually present in second or third decade of life as slowly progressive space occupying lesion in the jaw giving a  mixed radiopaque-radiolucent appearance.The treatment is considered to be wide local excision in view of high recurrence with curettage alone. Here, we present a case of odontogenic myxoma of maxilla, in a 40 year old lady, with a brief review of  literature, clinical, radiological, histopathological characteristics and therapeutic modality employed.

    Query-guided End-to-End Person Search

    Person search has recently gained attention as the novel task of finding a person, provided as a cropped sample, from a gallery of non-cropped images, whereby several other people are also visible. We believe that i. person detection and re-identification should be pursued in a joint optimization framework and that ii. the person search should leverage the query image extensively (e.g. emphasizing unique query patterns). However, so far, no prior art realizes this. We introduce a novel query-guided end-to-end person search network (QEEPS) to address both aspects. We leverage a most recent joint detector and re-identification work, OIM [37]. We extend this with i. a query-guided Siamese squeeze-and-excitation network (QSSE-Net) that uses global context from both the query and gallery images, ii. a query-guided region proposal network (QRPN) to produce query-relevant proposals, and iii. a query-guided similarity subnetwork (QSimNet), to learn a query-guided reidentification score. QEEPS is the first end-to-end query-guided detection and re-id network. On both the most recent CUHK-SYSU [37] and PRW [46] datasets, we outperform the previous state-of-the-art by a large margin.Comment: Accepted as poster in CVPR 201
