    TOURISM DEVELOPMENT PLANNING IN SELECTED EU COUNTRIES

    Tourism development planning is now part of the regional policies of all Member States of the European Union. Strategic plans at national or regional level are specific instruments of regional management, which contain results of the planning process and ensure the development of tourism in the selected region. The paper analyzes the representatives of these plans from Great Britain, Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania and Bulgaria. It evaluates their contents and form of processing according to suggested united methodology respecting main principles of current quality management. The paper tests the process of evaluation on a selected sample, compares different approaches to planning and identifies the best transferable practices as the first step of creating the complex system for evaluation and quality improvement of regional planning in tourism.regional management, tourism, strategic documents, evaluation.

    Práce se zabývá metodami pro testování lineárních analogových obvodů v kmitočtové oblasti. Cílem je navrhnout efektivní metody pro automatické generování testovacího plánu. Snížením počtu měření a výpočetní náročnosti lze výrazně snížit náklady za testování. Práce se zabývá multifrekveční parametrickou poruchovou analýzou, která byla plně implementována do programu Matlab. Vhodnou volbou testovacích kmitočtů lze potlačit chyby měření a chyby způsobené výrobními tolerancemi obvodových prvků. Navržené metody pro optimální volbu kmitočtů byly statisticky ověřeny metodou MonteCarlo. Pro zvýšení přesnosti a snížení výpočetní náročnosti poruchové analýzy byly vyvinuty postupy založené na metodě nejmenších čtverců a přibližné symbolické analýze.The thesis deals with methods for testing of linear analog circuits in the frequency domain. The goal is to develop new efficient methods for automatic test plan generation. To reduce test costs a minimum number of measurements as well as less computational demands are the fundamental aims. The thesis is focused on the multi-frequency parametric fault diagnosis which was fully implemented in the Matlab program. The fundamental problem consists in selection of test frequencies which can reduce the influences of measurement errors and errors caused by tolerances of well-working components. The proposed methods for test frequency selection were statistically verified by the MonteCarlo method. To improve the accuracy and reduce the computational complexity of fault diagnosis, the methods based on least-square techniques and approximate symbolic analysis were presented.

    Globally time-reversible fluid simulations with smoothed particle hydrodynamics

    This paper describes an energy-preserving and globally time-reversible code for weakly compressible smoothed particle hydrodynamics (SPH). We do not add any additional dynamics to the Monaghan's original SPH scheme at the level of ordinary differential equation, but we show how to discretize the equations by using a corrected expression for density and by invoking a symplectic integrator. Moreover, to achieve the global-in-time reversibility, we have to correct the initial state, implement a conservative fluid-wall interaction, and use the fixed-point arithmetic. Although the numerical scheme is reversible globally in time (solvable backwards in time while recovering the initial conditions), we observe thermalization of the particle velocities and growth of the Boltzmann entropy. In other words, when we do not see all the possible details, as in the Boltzmann entropy, which depends only on the one-particle distribution function, we observe the emergence of the second law of thermodynamics (irreversible behavior) from purely reversible dynamics.Comment: Submitted to a journa

    Cílem práce je návrh konstrukčního řešení zařízení pro mechanické zatížení střechy karoserie osobního vozu. Zařízení musí zajistit zatížení střechy a vyhodnocení její pevnosti při dodržení hlavních podmínek předpisu FMVSS 216a. Zařízení bude sloužit vývojovému oddělení Škoda auto a.s. v Mladé Boleslavi k provádění orientačních testů na prototypech vozidel osobních automobilů. Konstruktérům mohou výsledky testu napovědět slabá místa v návrhu střechy, která tak mohou patřičně upravit ještě před zavedením prototypu do sériové výroby.This thesis deals with design of solution of equipment for mechanical loading of the roof of the car body. The device must process the roof load and evaluate its strength in compliance with the main conditions of the FMVSS 216a standard. The device will serve the development department of Škoda auto a.s. in Mladá Boleslav to perform orientation tests on prototypes of passenger cars. The test results can suggest weaknesses in the design of the roof, which can be adjusted accordingly before the prototype is introduced into series production

    Cílem této diplomové práce bylo navrhnout koncepci a obvodové zapojení multifunkčního displeje. Jednotka je použita v rámci leteckého pozemního zdroje pro předletovou přípravu vrtulníků. Její hlavní funkcí je monitorování napětí a proudů na střídavé a stejnosměrné síti generátorů, monitorování teplot chladícího vzduchu obou generátorů, měření stavu paliva a v neposlední řadě též zobrazování provozních i poruchových stavů pozemního zdroje. Srdcem celého zapojení je 32-bitový mikroprocesor řady ARM7 od firmy NXP. Všechny informace jsou zobrazovány na grafickém vakuovém fluorescenčním displeji GU256x128.The aim of this thesis was to design a concept and circuit for multifunction display. This unit is used in ground power supply for preflighting preparation of army helicopters. Multifunction display measures voltages and currents of AC and DC generators, teperatures of cooling air and fuel quantity. Display indicates a operational and fault states of ground power supply. The main element of multifunction display is 32-bit microprocessor from the manufacturer NXP, family ARM7. All information are displaying on graphic vacuum fluorescent display GU256x128.

    The systematic tourism promotion can be understood as a specific tool of a regional policy of the Czech regions. At the present time almost all regions have disposed of a particular programme document focused on a development of tourism in a given region. Nevertheless these documents are considerably different in the case of their form and content. That is why an evaluation of their quality is quite difficult. One of the reasons of this situation is an absence of the requirements on a quality of these documents. This paper resulted from the methodological concept which aim is to set the basic requirements on the form and content of the programme documents

    Reported traumatic injuries among West Coast Dungeness crab fishermen, 2002–2014

    Background: Commercial fishing is a high-risk occupation. The West Coast Dungeness crab fishery has a high fatality rate; however, nonfatal injuries have not been previously studied. The purpose of this report was to describe the characteristics of fatal and nonfatal traumatic occupational injuries and associated hazards in this fleet during 2002–2014. Materials and methods: Data on fatal injuries were obtained from a surveillance system managed by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health. Data on nonfatal injuries were manually abstracted from Coast Guard investigation reports and entered into a study database. Descriptive statistics were used to characterise demographics, injury characteristics, and work processes performed. Results: Twenty-eight fatal and 45 nonfatal injuries were reported between 2002 and 2014 in the Dungeness crab fleet. Most fatalities were due to vessel disasters, and many nonfatal injuries occurred on-deck when fishermen were working with gear, particularly when hauling the gear (47%). The most frequently reported injuries affected the upper extremities (48%), and fractures were the most commonly reported injury type (40%). The overall fatality rate during this time period was 209 per 100,000 full-time equivalent workers and the rate of nonfatal injury was 3.4 per 1,000 full-time equivalent workers. Conclusions: Dungeness crab fishermen are at relatively high risk for fatal injuries. Nonfatal injuries were limited to reported information, which hampers efforts to accurately estimate nonfatal injury risk and understand fishing hazards. Further research is needed to identify work tasks and other hazards that cause nonfatal injuries in this fleet. Engaging fishermen directly may help develop approaches for injury prevention.
