    ABSTRAKSeledri (Apium graveolens L.) merupakan tanaman sayuran daun yang sangat diminati oleh masyarakat Indonesia baik sebagai obat maupun sebagaibahan penyedap rasa makanan. Salah satu kemampuan tanaman untuk tumbuh secara optimal yaitu dengan kecukupan nutrisi yang diperoleh dari seginutrisi yang diberikan untuk tanaman seledri yaitu berupa pupuk. Pupuk bokashi merupakan salah satu contoh jenis pupuk organik. Bokashimerupakan kompos yang dapat dihasilkan melalui adanya fermentasi dengan pemberian Effective Mikroorganisme-4 (EM4) merupakan aktivatoruntuk mempecepat proses pembuatan kompos. Penambahan pupuk Nitrogen pada budidaya tanaman seledri pada lahan bisa menjadi solusi untukmengatasi permasalahan tersebut. Pupuk Nitrogen merupakan golongan pupuk anorganik. Percobaan dilaksanakan di daerah Pakusari KabupatenJember. Penelitian dimulai pada bulan Oktober sampai dengan November 2021. Percobaan pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode RancanganAcak Lengkap (RAL) Faktorial dengan dari 2 faktor perlakuan yaitu dari Faktor I adalah aplikasi pupuk N (Urea) yang terdiri dari 4 taraf. Faktor IIadalah aplikasi pupuk Bokashi Jerami yang terdiri dari 4 taraf dan diulang untuk sebanyak 3 ulangan. Faktor pertama adalah aplikasi pupuk Nitrogenyaitu P0 : Perlakuan dosis 0 g Urea/tanaman atau 0 kg/ha (sebagai kontrol) P1 : Perlakuan dosis 2,62 g Urea/tanaman atau 300 kg/ha (setara dengan1,566 N g/tanaman), P2 : Perlakuan dosis 5,23 g Urea/tanaman atau 600 kg/ha (setara dengan 3,132 N g/tanaman), P3 : Perlakuan dosis 7,84 gUrea/tanaman atau 900 kg/ha (setara dengan 4,698 N g/tanaman). Faktor kedua perbedaan dosis pupuk Bokshi Jerami yaitu: K0: Perlakuan PupukBokashi 0 g/tan, K1 : Perlakuan Pupuk Bokashi 250 g/tan atau 8,3 ton/ha, K2 : Perlakuan Pupuk Bokashi 500 g/tan atau 16,6 ton/ha, K3 : PerlakuanPupuk Bokashi 750 g/tan atau 24,9 ton/ha. Penelitian ini memiliki 16 kombinasi perlakuan dan masing masing diulang sebanyak 3 kali. Jumlah keseluruhanpercobaan terdiri dari 48 percobaan. Perlakuan dosis terhadap pupuk Urea 5,23 g/tanaman atau setara dengan 600 kg/ha berpengaruh tertinggipada tinggi tanaman, panjang akar, dan jumlah anakan tanaman seledri, sedangkan perlakuan dosis pupuk Urea 2,62 berpengaruh tertinggi padajumlah daun. Perlakuan dosis pupuk bokashi jerami 500 g/tanaman setara dengan 16,6 ton/ha berpengaruh tertinggi pada tinggi tanaman, panjangakar, jumlah anakan dan kadar klorofil

    Do Zebrafish Exhibit a Placebo Response? Fluoxetine Conditioning in Chronically Stressed Adult Zebrafish (\u3ci\u3eDanio rerio\u3c/i\u3e)

    Placebo responses are a widely observed phenomenon in humans and animals alike. In humans, placebo responses are largely attributed to expectancy processes, and conditioning (Stewart-Williams, & Podd, 2004). In the clinical setting, the placebo response is very useful as it has the power to improve physical and/or psychological states, without the need for treatment with a higher drug dose. In clinical trials however, researchers must control for potential placebo effects. Still, despite the experimental control, placebo responses are widely observed during phase 2 and phase 3 clinical trials, resulting in a weak drug effect. In the effort to improve the efficiency of drug discovery and development, it is necessary to better understand the placebo response. The current study tested a protocol that examined the existence of placebo responses in chronically stressed adult zebrafish. Over a 30 day period, animals were subjected to an unpredictable chronic mild stress (UCMS) procedure (Piato et al., 2011). Concurrent with the UCMS protocol, stressed animals were conditioned to receive antidepressant (fluoxetine) treatment in a visually distinct arena to protect against stress in the zebrafish. The conditioned placebo response was then evaluated in the novel tank test following the placebo session (treatment with system water). Exposure to the placebo dose produced a slight anxiety-like response and this compensatory response has been observed in different domains of drug conditioning, supporting the conditioning model. The results of this study contribute to our current understanding of the placebo responses in animal models, specifically in a stressed animal model

    Machine Learning with Abstention for Automated Liver Disease Diagnosis

    This paper presents a novel approach for detection of liver abnormalities in an automated manner using ultrasound images. For this purpose, we have implemented a machine learning model that can not only generate labels (normal and abnormal) for a given ultrasound image but it can also detect when its prediction is likely to be incorrect. The proposed model abstains from generating the label of a test example if it is not confident about its prediction. Such behavior is commonly practiced by medical doctors who, when given insufficient information or a difficult case, can chose to carry out further clinical or diagnostic tests before generating a diagnosis. However, existing machine learning models are designed in a way to always generate a label for a given example even when the confidence of their prediction is low. We have proposed a novel stochastic gradient based solver for the learning with abstention paradigm and use it to make a practical, state of the art method for liver disease classification.     Towards a Better Understanding of Zebrafish Sleep Behavior

    Sleep serves many vital functions in humans, ranging from energy restoration to memory consolidation and information integration. Sleep deprivation is linked to worsened physiological states and psychological conditions. Zebrafish are an emerging model in neurobehavioral research and have recently demonstrated great utility in the study of sleep. This teleost species possesses several of the same neurotransmitter and neuropeptide systems that are involved in the regulation of sleep and waking rhythms in higher order mammals. Previous study of these animals has revealed a differential gene and proteomic expression following sleep deprivation through changes in environmental stimuli. The present study sought to expand on the current understanding of sleep behavior in this animal. The behavior of adult zebrafish was evaluated as they were exposed to varying environmental and pharmacological interventions. Animals were exposed to one of three conditions: (1) sustained darkness, (2) sustained brightness, and (3) sustained bright conditions, paired with the administration of an adenosine antagonist. The presentation of bright lights was effective in disrupting sleep rhythms. The administration of caffeine paired with the presentation of bright lights was the most effective method of reducing sleep in the zebrafish. Following sleep disruption animals were tested in the novel tank test or the open field task to elucidate the effects of sleep rhythm disruption on anxiety. We expand on the current interaction of sleep and anxiety and report no increases in anxiety like behaviors in the zebrafish following any of the environmental or pharmacological interventions

    On the Accuracy of Hyper-local Geotagging of Social Media Content

    Social media users share billions of items per year, only a small fraction of which is geotagged. We present a data- driven approach for identifying non-geotagged content items that can be associated with a hyper-local geographic area by modeling the location distributions of hyper-local n-grams that appear in the text. We explore the trade-off between accuracy, precision and coverage of this method. Further, we explore differences across content received from multiple platforms and devices, and show, for example, that content shared via different sources and applications produces significantly different geographic distributions, and that it is best to model and predict location for items according to their source. Our findings show the potential and the bounds of a data-driven approach to geotag short social media texts, and offer implications for all applications that use data-driven approaches to locate content.Comment: 10 page

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kompetensi pengelola keuangan daerah dan penerapan Standar Akuntansi Pemerintahan terhadap kualitas Laporan Keuangan Pemerintah Daerah Kota Sukabumi. Variabel independen dalam penelitian ini adalah kompetensi pengelola keuangan daerah dan penerapan Standar Akuntansi Pemerintahan. Variabel dependen dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitas Laporan Keuangan Pemerintah Daerah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan assosiatif. Alat pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi dan kuesioner dengan skala ordinal tipe Likert. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah 114 pegawai bagian keuangan di Satuan Kerja Perangkat Daerah (SKPD) Kota Sukabumi, sedangkan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 53 pegawai bagian keuangan di Satuan Kerja Perangkat Daerah Kota Sukabumi. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah nonprobability sampling dengan teknik purposive sampling. Penetapan jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan rumus slovin. Hasil pengujian menggunakan software SPSS 24 For Windows secara parsial menunjukan bahwa kompetensi pengelola keuangan daerah berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kualitas Laporan Keuangan Pemerintah Daerah dan penerapan Standar Akuntansi Pemerintahan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kualitas Laporan Keuangan Pemerintah Daerah. Hasil pengujian secara simultan menunjukan bahwa kompetensi pengelola keuangan daerah dan penerapan Standar Akuntansi Pemerintahan secara bersama-sama atau simultan berpengaruh terhadap kualitas Laporan Keuangan Pemerintah Daerah

    KELIMPAHAN DAN KEANEKARAGAMAN ALGA DI PANTAI SINDANGKERTA KECAMATAN CIPATUJAH KABUPATEN TASIKMALAYA

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur kelimpahan dan keanekaragaman alga di Pantai Sindangkerta, Kecamatan Cipatujah, Kabupaten Tasikmalaya. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan April 2016. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif, dengan pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode Belt transek dan Hand sorting. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jenis alga yang ditemukan di perairan Pantai Sindangkerta, berjumlah 12 spesies alga yang dikelompokkan dalam tiga Divisi, yaitu Chlorophyta (Anadyomene stellata, Boergensia forbesii,dan Chaetomorpha crassa), Rhodophyta (Gracilaria salicornia, Gracilaria edulis, Tricleocarpa fragilis, Laurencia papilosa, Gracilaria arcuata, Ceratodictyon intricatum, dan Acanthophora spicifera) dan Phaeophyta (Sargassum polycystum, dan Padina minor). Kelimpahan alga tertinggi terdapat pada spesies Ceratodictyon intricatum dengan nilai (630 ind/m²), sedangkan spesies Gracilaria arcuata memiliki nilai kelimpahan terendah dengan nilai (1 ind/m²). Hasil perhitungan keanekaragaman alga di kategorikan sedang (1,84) artinya, jenis makroalga dalam kondisi merata atau seragam. Nilai keanekaragaman di kategorikan rendah (0,06) artinya tidak ada jenis makroalga yang mendominasi pada lokasi penelitian. Kata Kunci : kelimpahan, keanekaragaman, makroalg

    Effect of boron-based gel on postpartum episiotomy wound healing in primiparous pregnant women

    Aim: The present study aimed to determine the effects of boron-based gel on episiotomy wound healing and episiotomy pain in primiparous women. Material and Methods: This case-time control design, which is one of the hybrid designs included 450 primiparous women who had a normal delivery with episiotomy at Private Nisa Hospital between January 2019 and March 2020. The participants were grouped as 150 women who used the Boron-Based Gel on the postpartum episiotomy site (cases-1), 150 women who used Beta Chlorhexidine Gel (cases-2), and 150 women who refused treatment or did not use any topical gel (controls). Wound healing status was evaluated on days 2, 5-7, and 10-14 after birth along with Redness, Edema, Ecchymosis, Discharge with Approximation (REEDA) Scale, and the pain levels felt in the episiotomy area were evaluated using the Visual Analog Scale (VAS). Results: No statistically significant differences were detected between the three groups in terms of age and other variables (p>0.05). The mean scores of VAS and REEDA on days 2, 5-7, and 10-14 after birth were significantly different in the Boron-Based Gel Group compared to Chlorhexidine Gel and control group (p<0.001). Discussion: It was found that the use of Boron-Based Gel increased episiotomy wound healing and reduced pain at significant levels
