    Studies of multi-parton interactions in photon+jets events at D0

    We consider sample of inclusive photon+3jet events collected by the D0 experiment. The double parton fraction and effective cross section sigma_eff, a process-independent scale parameter related to the parton density inside the nucleon, are measured in three intervals of the second (ordered in pT) jet transverse momentum pT_jet2. Also we measured cross sections as a function of the angle in the plane transverse to the beam direction between the transverse momentum (of the photon+leading jet system and pT of the other jet for photon+2jet, or pT sum of the two other jets for photon+3jet events. The results are compared to different models of multiple parton interactions (MPI) in the PYTHIA and SHERPA Monte Carlo generators.Comment: 4 pages, 9 figure

    Searches for Charginos and Neutralinos with the D0 Detector

    Within the framework of supersymmetry, charginos and/or neutralinos are often the preferred topics of searches for experimental evidence. This is due to the facts that in much of parameter space they are the lightest supersymmetric partners and they offer unique final states to separate from standard model backgrounds.     Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pemberitaan pada media massa khususnya media online yang seringkali bertolak belakang dengan realitas yang ada di lapangan. Hal ini disebabkan karena berita merupakan hasil kontruksi realitas wartawan yang ada pada sebuah media. Hal ini tentunya dapat menimbulkan kesenjangan dimana media akan menciptakan opini yang berbeda terhadap satu peristiwa yang sama. Salah satu cara yang dapat digunakan untuk melihat bagaimana konstruksi yang dilakukan media adalah melalui analisis framing model Robert N. Entman. Oleh sebab itu, penelitian ini ditujukan untuk melihat bagaimana konstruksi realitas yang dilakukan oleh Kompas.com dan SindoNews.com terhadap berita reshuffle Kabinet Kerja jilid dua pada pemerintahan Jokowi-JK. Berita-berita tersebut akan dibingkai melalui empat aspek utama yaitu define problems, diagnose causes, make moral judgement, dan treatment recommendation. Temuan pada penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kontruksi realitas yang dilakukan oleh Kompas.com dan SindoNews.com memiliki perbedaan dan persamaan. Dari aspek define problems, Kompas.com menonjolkan hak prerogatif Presiden dan kinerja Menteri sedangkan SindoNews.com menonjolkan pelaksanaan reshuffle, hak prerogatif Presiden, dan kinerja Menteri. Dari aspek diagnose causes, Kompas.com menonjolkan PAN dan kinerja menteri yang membebani sedangkan SindoNews.com lebih menonjolkan PAN dan kinerja tim pemerintahan yang tidak kuat. Dari aspek make moral judgement, baik Kompas.com dan SindoNews.com memiliki cara penguatan argumentasi yang sama yaitu dengan pemaparan fakta definisi masalah. Terakhir dari aspek treatment recommendation, Kompas.com dan SindoNews.com sama-sama memberikan dua saran yang masing-masing ditujukan kepada masyarakat dan Presiden. ;---This research based on simple assumptions that the news in mass media, especially online media, tends to often contradicts the reality. This is because the news are the result of the construction of reality by a journalist in mass media. This certainly could make a gap where the media will create a different opinion on the same occasion. There is several method could be used to conduct the construction of reality, one of them is through framing analysis Robert N. Entman. Therefore, this research aimed to find out the construction of reality conducted by Kompas.com and SindoNews.com related to the news about “Reshuffle Kabinet Kerja” volume two in Jokowi-JK government. The news will be framed through four main aspects, that is define problems, diagnose causes, make moral judgement, and treatment recommendation. Finding of this research showed that the construction of reality conducted by Kompas.com and SindoNews.com has many differences and similarities. From the define problems aspect, Kompas.com accentuate President’s prerogative and the performance of ministers, while SindoNews.com accentuate reshuffle implemention, President’s prerogative, and the performance of ministers. From the diagnose causes aspect, Kompas.com tends to accentuate PAN and the performance of ministers that became a burden, while SindoNews.com tends to accentuate PAN and the poor performance of government. From the make moral judgement aspect, both Kompas.com and SindoNews.com have the same way to strengthen the arguments.     Pattern Reification as the Basis for Description-Driven Systems

    One of the main factors driving object-oriented software development for information systems is the requirement for systems to be tolerant to change. To address this issue in designing systems, this paper proposes a pattern-based, object-oriented, description-driven system (DDS) architecture as an extension to the standard UML four-layer meta-model. A DDS architecture is proposed in which aspects of both static and dynamic systems behavior can be captured via descriptive models and meta-models. The proposed architecture embodies four main elements - firstly, the adoption of a multi-layered meta-modeling architecture and reflective meta-level architecture, secondly the identification of four data modeling relationships that can be made explicit such that they can be modified dynamically, thirdly the identification of five design patterns which have emerged from practice and have proved essential in providing reusable building blocks for data management, and fourthly the encoding of the structural properties of the five design patterns by means of one fundamental pattern, the Graph pattern. A practical example of this philosophy, the CRISTAL project, is used to demonstrate the use of description-driven data objects to handle system evolution.Comment: 20 pages, 10 figure

    Proses pembelajaran IPS, masih berpusat pada guru dan dianggap menjenuhkan karena peserta didik tidak dilibatkan secara aktif dalam proses pembelajaran, Hal ini diduga sebagai penyebab rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan penggunaan teknik pembelajaran yang melibatkan peserta didik secara aktif dalam proses pembelajaran. Teknik yang digunakan ialah teknik discussion starter story. Peneltian dilaksanakan dengan disain quasi eksperimen. Subjek penelitian ialah peserta didik kelas VIII SMP N 1 Subang, dimana Kelas VIII H sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII D sebagai kelas kontrol. Responden masing-masing kelas 35 orang. Data diambil melalui tes, observasi dan angket. Analisis data dilakukan terhadap instrumen, dan data yang terkumpul, melalui uji validitas, reliabilitas, tingkat kesukaran, daya pembeda, normalitas, homogenitas dan perbedaan rata-rata. Analisis tersebut dilakukan dengan bantuan program SPSS versi 20 dan Anates. Hasil penelitian data menunjukkan : 1) Terdapat perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan teknik Discussion Strter Story pada pengukuran awal (pretest) dan pengukuran akhir (posttest); 2) Terdapat perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kreatif pada pengukuran awal (pretest) dan pengukuran akhir (posttest) pada peserta didik kelas kontrol yang menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional (ceramah dan diskusi); 3) Kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan teknik Discussion Starter Story lebih baik dari pada peserta didik kelas kontrol yang menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional (ceramah dan diskusi) setelah diberikan perlakuan (posttest). Teknik discussion starter story ternyata mampu meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif, yang mencakup empat indikator pada mata pelajaran IPS dalam sub tema fungsi dan peran keragaman sosial budaya Indonesia. Agar hasil penelitian ini lebih implementatif, diperlukan penelitian sejenis dengan pendekatan yang lebih komperhensif dari sisi kemapanan guru model, kesesuaian antara metodologi dan tema, penyediaan waktu dan media, serta suasana belajar;--- IPS learning process, still centered on teachers and are considered to saturate because students are not actively involved in the learning process. It is suspected as the cause of low creative thinking abilities of learners. Therefore, it is necessary to use learning techniques that involve students actively in the learning process. The technique used is discussion starter story technique. Research carried out by quasi experimental design. The research subject is class VIII students in SMP N 1 Subang, where Class VIII H as the experimental class and class VIII D as the control class. Responden each class of 35 people. Data retrieved through tests, observation and questionnaires. Data analysis was performed on the instrument, and the data collected, through the test of validity, reliability, level of difficulty, distinguishing, normality, homogenity and average difference. The analysis is carried out with the help of SPSS v. 20 and Anates program package. The result showed the data: 1) There is difference students’ creative thinking abilities in the experiment class using discussion starter story technique in the begining measurement (pretest) and in the last measurement (posttest) ; 2). There is difference students’ creative thinking abilities in the control class using conventional learning (expository and discussion) in the begining measurement (pretest) and in the last measurement (posttest) 3) students’ creative thinking abilities in the experiment class using discussion starter story technique is better than those who are in the control class using conventional learning (expository and discussion) in the last measurement (posttest). Discussion starter story technique were able to improve the ability of creative thinking, which includes four indicators in subjects with the subjects the function and role of social and cultural diversity Indonesia. That the results of this study more implementable, similar research is needed with a more comperhensive approach to the establishment of teacher models, the fit between the methodology and subject matter, the provision of time, media and the learning environment
