Adoption and motivational factors for online grocery shopping in the UK

Following upon the results of previous qualitative research (Authors, 2005), the objective of this paper is to confirm the role of situational variables in the adoption process of online grocery shopping. Situational variables and life events in particular (e.g. having a baby, health problems) emerge as the trigger for starting online grocery shopping for two clusters. However, the adoption of e-grocery shopping seems to be re-evaluated frequently and consequently post-adoption evaluation appears crucial to the decision of whether to continue with or to drop internet grocery shopping

Do Oceanic Hypoxic Regions Act as Barriers for Sinking Particles? A Case Study in the Eastern Tropical North Atlantic

In oxygen minimum zones (OMZs), the attenuation rates of particulate organic carbon (POC) fluxes of large particles are known to be reduced, thus increasing the efficiency with which the biological carbonpump(BCP)transferscarbontotheabyss.TheBCPefficiencyisexpectedtofurtherincreaseifOMZs expand. However, little is known about how the POC fluxes of small particles—a significant component of the BCP—are attenuated inside OMZs. In this study, data collected by two BGC‐Argo floats deployed in the hypoxic OMZ of the eastern tropical North Atlantic were used to estimate net instantaneous fluxes of POCviasmallparticleduring3years.Thisinformationwasanalyzedtogetherwithmeteorologicaldataand published POC fluxes of large particles and allowed us to conclude that (1) major pulses of surface‐derived small particles toward the OMZ interior coincided with seasonal changes in wind stress and precipitation; (2) a permanent layer of small particles, presumably linked to microbial communities, was found in the upper section of the OMZ which might play a key role attenuating POC fluxes; and (3) fluxes of large particles were attenuated less efficiently inside this poorly oxygenated region than above it, while attenuation of small‐particle fluxes were equivalent or significantly higher inside the OMZ. These results highlight that more information about the processes controlling the fluxes of small and large particles in hypoxic OMZs is needed to better understand the impact of hypoxic OMZs on the BCP efficiency

Measuring and modeling the (limited) consistency of free choice attitude questions

On average, respondents who give a positive answer to a binary free choice attitude question are NOT more likely, if surveyed again, to respond positively than to response negatively. However, stronger brands obtain more repeated positive answers. Investigação da poética visível e invisível do fazer-dizer a partir do corpo pensamento da bailarina, coreógrafa e pesquisadora Daggi Scherer Dornelles, natural do Rio Grande do Sul, e que desenvolveu suas criações em trânsito, principalmente nas ruas de diferentes cidades do Brasil e da Europa, especialmente na Alemanha. A partir da percepção dos impulsos que movem a criação, essa tese irá aprofundar os estudos do corpo, da experiência vivida e da relação com os objetos no mundo desenvolvidos pela artista, propondo uma escuta do território nômade de coexistência, de entrelaçamentos e de vulnerabilidades para a construção de uma filosofia da dança de Daggi.Investigation of the visible and invisible poetics of making-say from the body-thought of the dancer, choreographer and researcher Daggi Scherer Dornelles, born in Rio Grande do Sul and who developed her creations in transit, mainly in the streets of different cities in Brazil and Europe, especially in Germany. Based on the perception of the impulses that move creation, this thesis will deepen the studies of the body, the lived experience and the relationship with objects in the world developed by the artist, proposing a listening to the nomadic territory of coexistence, interlacing and vulnerabilities for the construction of a Daggi dance philosophy
