The CLAWAR project

In Europe, there are two main thematic groups focusing on robotics, the Climbing and Walking Robots (CLAWAR) project (http://www.clawar.net) and the European Robotics Network (EURON) project (http://www.euron.org). The two networks are complementary: CLAWAR is industrially focused on the immediate needs, and EURON is focused more on blue skies research. #does this count as poetry? : A genre analysis of Tumblr poetry

This thesis canonizes “Tumblr poetry” as a distinct and separate genre of poetry, closely related to other digital poetry movements but ultimately its own phenomenon. Through historical analysis, the criticism against Tumblr poetry and digital poetry as a whole become familiar in a cycle of negative reactions to changing poets and changing audiences. Through textual analysis of poems found on Tumblr, common attributes and style changes are identified and contrasted with more traditional contemporary poetry, signifying a distinct formal shift. Finally, through a platform analysis, poetry communities on Reddit and Instagram are similarly analyzed and contrasted with Tumblr poetry to showcase the effects that platform has on the communities that form, and why “Tumblr poetry” is not the same as “internet poetry.” Through these three different analyses, a more rounded image of Tumblr poetry as a phenomenon becomes apparent, further contributing to research about how community and art creation interact, and how digital culture and “mainstream” culture are becoming more ubiquitous

KMEEP : linking theory and practice in an effective science pedagogy.

The purpose of this study was to identify, study and implement the characteristics of effective science pedagogy in the multicultural classroom. The ultimate goal was to identify the instructional strategies in the learning process. The scope of the work included the development of wisdom-in-practice by a skillful teacher. A model (KMEEP) was used for describing the processes of learning and teaching within the multicultural classroom. Case studies were written with the goal of using the classroom experiences of the teacher to bridge the gap between theory and praxis

The effects of labor legislation - act 789/2002 - about labor market in Colombia

This paper analyzes the incidence of labor reform on labor market in Colombia after its implementation. Specifically, this work seeks to identify net effects of law on employment and unemployment rate. The general statement of the work makes reference to the importance of labor policy and its adjustments from time to time, on the different labor structures, primarily on labor demand and supply. Additionally, and based on a descriptive analysis, an approach to the major results of labor reform is included. It was found evidence in favor of the hypothesis according to which, Act 789/2002, failed to favor the most disadvantaged groups of population in those aspects related to the recent employment formalization; even more, the findings of this work lead to conclude that a proper formalization of employment has not been made in Colombia as suggested by labor reform.Labor market
