    Collaboration enhances later individual memory for emotional material

    Research on collaborative remembering suggests that collaboration hampers group memory (i.e., collaborative inhibition), yet enhances later individual memory. Studies examining collaborative effects on memory for emotional stimuli are scarce, especially concerning later individual memory. In the present study, female undergraduates watched an emotional movie and recalled it either collaboratively (n=60) or individually (n=60), followed by an individual free recall test and a recognition test. We replicated the standard collaborative inhibition effect. Further, in line with the literature, the collaborative condition displayed better post-collaborative individual memory. More importantly, in post-collaborative free recall, the centrality of the information to the movie plot did not play an important role. Recognition rendered slightly different results. Although collaboration rendered more correct recognition for more central details, it did not enhance recognition of background details. Secondly, the collaborative and individual conditions did not differ with respect to overlap of unique correct items in free recall. Yet, during recognition former collaborators more unanimously endorsed correct answers, as well as errors. Finally, extraversion, neuroticism, social anxiety, and depressive symptoms did not moderate the influence of collaboration on memory. Implications for the fields of forensic and clinical psychology are discussed

    Early identification of treatment non-response in first-episode psychosis

    Background Approximately one-third of patients with psychotic disorders does not respond to standard antipsychotic treatments. Consensus criteria for treatment resistance (TR) may aid the identification of non-response and subsequent tailoring of treatments. Since consensus criteria require stability of clinical status, they are challenging to apply in first-episode psychosis (FEP). This study aims to investigate (a) if an adaptation of consensus criteria can be used to identify FEP patients with early signs of TR (no early clinical recovery—no-ECR) after 1 year in treatment and (b) to what extent differences in antipsychotic treatments differentiate between outcome groups. Methods Participants with FEP DSM-IV schizophrenia spectrum disorders were recruited during their first treatment. A total of 207 participated in the 1-year follow-up. Remission and recovery definitions were based on adaptations of the “Remission in Schizophrenia Working Group” criteria and TR on adaptations of the “Treatment Response and Resistance in Psychosis” (TRRIP) working group criteria. Results 97 participants (47%) could be classified as no-ECR, 61 (30%) as ECR, and 49 (23%) as with partial ECR (P-ECR). Statistically significant baseline predictors of no-ECR matched previously identified predictors of long-term TR. Only 35 no-ECR participants had two adequate treatment trials and met the full TRRIP criteria. 21 no-ECR participants were using the same medication over the follow-up year despite the lack of significant effects. Conclusion The difference in the percentage of FEP participants classified as no-ECR versus TR indicates that we may underestimate the prevalence of early TR when using consensus criteria.publishedVersio

    Анализ пожаров в городе Новокузнецке показывает, что около 70% пожаров происходит в жилом секторе. При этом в жилье гибнет при пожарах около 80% людей по последним статистическим данным. Объектом исследования является жилой дом, расположенный в городе Новокузнецке, центральный район. Цель дипломного проекта – разработать тактические действия по тушению пожаров в зданиях повышенной этажности на примере вышеупомянутого объекта исследования. В процессе исследования был проведен аналитический обзор научных трудов и информационных статей по вопросам обеспечения пожарной безопасности в зданиях промышленной этажности, представлена характеристика исследуемого объекта и факторы, влияющие на развитие пожара в высотных зданиях.Analysis of fires in the city of Novokuznetsk shows that about 70% of fires occur in the residential sector. While the housing dies in fires, about 80% of people according to recent statistics. The object of study is a residential building located in the city of Novokuznetsk Central district. The aim of the project is to develop tactical actions on a touch-NIJ fires in high-rise buildings on the example of the above-mentioned object of study. In the process of the study was an analytical review of scientific papers and news articles on issues of fire safety in buildings, industrial heights, are the characteristic of the object studied and the factors affecting the development of fire in high-rise buildings

    A good life with psychosis: rate of positive outcomes in first-episode psychosis at 10-year follow-up

    BackgroundMore knowledge about positive outcomes for people with first-episode psychosis (FEP) is needed. An FEP 10-year follow-up study investigated the rate of personal recovery, emotional wellbeing, and clinical recovery in the total sample and between psychotic bipolar spectrum disorders (BD) and schizophrenia spectrum disorders (SZ); and how these positive outcomes overlap.MethodsFEP participants (n = 128) were re-assessed with structured clinical interviews at 10-year follow-up. Personal recovery was self-rated with the Questionnaire about the Process of Recovery-15-item scale (total score ⩾45). Emotional wellbeing was self-rated with the Life Satisfaction Scale (score ⩾5) and the Temporal Experience of Pleasure Scale (total score ⩾72). Clinical recovery was clinician-rated symptom-remission and adequate functioning (duration minimum 1 year).ResultsIn FEP, rates of personal recovery (50.8%), life satisfaction (60.9%), and pleasure (57.5%) were higher than clinical recovery (33.6%). Despite lower rates of clinical recovery in SZ compared to BD, they had equal rates of personal recovery and emotional wellbeing. Personal recovery overlapped more with emotional wellbeing than with clinical recovery (χ2). Each participant was assigned to one of eight possible outcome groups depending on the combination of positive outcomes fulfilled. The eight groups collapsed into three equal-sized main outcome groups: 33.6% clinical recovery with personal recovery and/or emotional wellbeing; 34.4% personal recovery and/or emotional wellbeing only; and 32.0% none.ConclusionsIn FEP, 68% had minimum one positive outcome after 10 years, suggesting a good life with psychosis. This knowledge must be shared to instill hope and underlines that subjective and objective positive outcomes must be assessed and targeted in treatment

Den föreslagna region- och/eller interregionala trafiken inte påverkar näringslivets möjligheter till transporter på samt från/till Markarydsbanan. Åtgärdsvalsstudien har tagit genom analyser och dialog tagit fram samhällsekonomiskt motiverade åtgärder. Åtgärderna omfattar såväl trimningsåtgärder i befintlig anläggning som större åtgärder för att öka kapaciteten på bandelen

Kunskapen om intermodala transporter skiljer sig kraftigt mellan olika aktörer, liksom målbild och ambitionerna med intermodaliteten.     Die Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit dem Thema, ob Content Marketing eine neue Finanzierungsquelle für den Amateursport werden kann. Durch die Corona-Krise werden im kommenden Jahr knapp die Hälfte aller Vereine in eine existenzielle Notlage geraten. Die arrivierten Finanzierungsmöglichkeiten sind zum Teil ausgeschöpft und die Mitgliederbeiträge haben sogar rückläufige Tendenzen. Der Profisport hat sich bereits neue Einnahmequellen erarbeitet und vermarktet digitale Formate. Dabei werden Formate nach einer Content Marketing Technik erarbeitet und im Anschluss gewinnbringend monetarisiert. Im Amateursport ist diese Möglichkeit, bisher noch nicht genutzt worden. Anhand einer Literaturrecherche versucht diese Arbeit eine Aussage zu treffen, ob diese Art der Finanzierung auch im Amateursport umsetzbar ist.The thesis deals with the topic of whether content marketing can become a new source of financing for amateur sport. Due to the Corona crisis, almost half of all clubs will find themselves in an existential emergency in the coming year. Some of the established financing options have been exhausted and membership fees are even on the decline. Professional sports have already developed new sources of income and are marketing digital formats. In doing so, formats are developed according to a content marketing technique and then monetised profitably. In amateur sport, this possibility has not yet been used. Based on a literature review, this paper attempts to determine whether this type of financing can also be implemented in amateur sport

    Developing intermodal transport for small flows over short distances

    Intermodal road-rail freight transport works best within markets with relatively large flows occurring over long distances, which corresponds poorly to the current demand for transport in the European Union. The purpose of this paper is to compare the capabilities of conventional European intermodal transport, with special reference to the competitiveness in markets with small flows over short distances, and to explore innovative concepts. Using a technological systems approach, key functions are identified as being the inducement and blocking mechanisms that affect the development and diffusion path of this \u27small flows over short distances\u27 (SFSD) system, providing a tool for empirical delineation of the system. These concepts are illustrated and analysed through a case study of the Swedish development project Light-combi. The results show that market and financial uncertainties, insufficient network connectivity and policies favouring the existing technology paradigm, severely hamper the development and diffusion of SFSD systems. \ua9 2004 Taylor & Francis Ltd
