    Adaptive, suboptimal and nonlinear control of an aeroelastic system

    In this thesis, control systems are designed for the flutter control of a nonlinear aeroelastic system. The aeroelastic model describes the plunge and pitch motion of a wing. The model includes plunge and pitch nonlinearties, and has a single control surface for the purpose of control. First an output feedback modular adaptive control system is derived. Quasi-steady aerodynamic model is used for the output feedback modular adaptive control system. For the synthesis of the adaptive controller, it is assumed that only pitch angle and plunge displacement are measured. The control system consists of an input-to-state stabilizing controller and a passive identifier. The passive identifier provides estimates of parameters for synthesis. The second control system is based on the state dependent Riccati equation method. This design yields a suboptimal control law. Finally a nonlinear controller based on backstepping design is presented. Unsteady aerodynamic model is used for the design of the suboptimal controller using state dependent Riccati equation approach and nonlinear controller using backstepping design technique. The unsteady aerodynamic is modeled with an approximation to Theodorsens theory. For the synthesis of second and third control systems, an observer is designed for estimating the unavailable states variables. Simulation results for each controller are presented. These results show that the designed control systems are effective in flutter suppression

    Study of Histamine Forming Bacteria in Commercial fish samples of Kalyan city

    Histamine food poisoning is found to be associated with consumption of scombroid fish containing unusually high levels of histamine. Fish belonging to non-scombroid group may also cause histamine poisoning. In this study, histamine forming bacteria in the commercial fish samples of local markets of Kalyan region were investigated. Among 54 isolates 24 were found to be prominent histamine producers. A simple and rapid colorimetric method for the quantification of histamine in fish was used. Histamine level in fresh mackerel samples was found to be around 20 mg/100 g, which was much above the defect action level (5 mg/100 g) given by FDA indicating potential risk for histamine poisoning. The study suggest that practice of more hygienic and sanitary conditions during handling and processing of fish are required to minimize the contamination of such histamine producing bacteri

    Prevention of Protein Oxidation in Chicken Meat during Chilled Storage Using Chitosan Gelatin Films with Green Tea Extracts

    In present study, the usability of chitosan and gelatin (1:1) films incorporated with green tea extract (GTE) to improve the shelf life of the chicken meat stored in chilled condition was evaluated. The extract of green tea was evaluated for its phenolic content, antioxidant activity and ferric ion chealating ability. The ChGel films possessed antimicrobial activity and inactivated approximately 3 log cfu/ ml of K. pneumoniae, S. typhi var. Weltevreden, S. typhi var. Oslo, Y. enterocolitica, E. feacalis, B. cereus, E. coli and S. aureus in 3 hours. Incorporation of GTE influenced the optical and mechanical properties of the films. Chicken samples without films were observed to be microbiologically safe for not more than 6 days, while ChGel and ChGel-GTE films improved the microbial safety of chicken samples till day 13. ChGel-GTE films also prevented lipid peroxidation in samples as evident by TBARS value (day 10: control: 1.14; ChGel-GTE: 0.21 mg MDA eq/kg). Protein oxidation during chilled storage of chicken was also prevented by ChGel-GTE by inhibiting protein carbonylation, loss of free thiols groups in protein and lowering the number of disulphde bonds. This study supports use of ChGel films with GTE for enhancing the safety of stored chicken meat not only by maintaining the microbial quality of the samples but also preventing oxidative changes which can hamper the functional, nutritional and sensorial properties

    In recent years, the World Wide Web (WWW) has established itself as a popular source of information. Using an effective approach to investigate the vast amount of information available on the internet is essential if we are to make the most of the resources available. Visual data cannot be indexed using text-based indexing algorithms because it is significantly larger and more complex than text. Content-Based Image Retrieval, as a result, has gained widespread attention among the scientific community (CBIR). Input into a CBIR system that is dependent on visible features of the user\u27s input image at a low level is difficult for the user to formulate, especially when the system is reliant on visible features at a low level because it is difficult for the user to formulate. In addition, the system does not produce adequate results. To improve task performance, the CBIR system heavily relies on research into effective feature representations and appropriate similarity measures, both of which are currently being conducted. In particular, the semantic chasm that exists between low-level pixels in images and high-level semantics as interpreted by humans has been identified as the root cause of the issue. There are two potentially difficult issues that the e-commerce industry is currently dealing with, and the study at hand addresses them. First, handling manual labeling of products as well as second uploading product photographs to the platform for sale are two issues that merchants must contend with. Consequently, it does not appear in the search results as a result of misclassifications. Moreover, customers who don\u27t know the exact keywords but only have a general idea of what they want to buy may encounter a bottleneck when placing their orders. By allowing buyers to click on a picture of an object and search for related products without having to type anything in, an image-based search algorithm has the potential to unlock the full potential of e-commerce and allow it to reach its full potential. Inspired by the current success of deep learning methods for computer vision applications, we set out to test a cutting-edge deep learning method known as the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) for investigating feature representations and similarity measures. We were motivated to do so by the current success of deep learning methods for computer vision applications (CV). According to the experimental results presented in this study, a deep machine learning approach can be used to address these issues effectively. In this study, a proposed Deep Fashion Convolution Neural Network (DFCNN) model that takes advantage of transfer learning features is used to classify fashion products and predict their performance.     DEVELOPMENT AND VALIDATION OF STABILITY-INDICATING HPTLC METHOD FOR THE ESTIMATION OF PERINDOPRIL AND INDAPAMIDE

    Objective: To develop a validated stability indicating HPTLC method for determination Perindopril and Indapamide. Methods: The method was based on the separation of two drugs on plates precoated with silica gel 60 F254 using Dichloromethane: Methanol: Glacial acetic acid in the ratio of 9.5:0.5:0.1 v/v/v as mobile phase followed by scanning in absorbance mode at 215 nm. Results: The optimized chromatographic conditions gave compact spot for Perindopril and Indapamide at Rf value of 0.30 ± 0.02 and 0.60 ± 0.02 respectively. The calibration curve was found to be linear in range of 1000-5000 ng/band and 200-1000 ng/band for perindopril and indapamide respectively. The limit of detection and quantification were found to 164 ng/band and 491 ng/band for Perindopril and 41.41 ng/band and 125.49ng/band for Indapamide. The method has been successfully applied to tablets and was validated according to ICH Harmonized Tripartite guidelines. Conclusion: A new sensitive, simple, rapid and precise high performance thin layer chromatographic (HPTLC) method has been developed and validated for simultaneous determination of Perindopril and Indapamide in pharmaceutical dosage form. The proposed method can be applicable for simultaneous determination of Perindopril and Indapamide in bulk and formulation

It does not have the ability to be located farther away from the computer. Technology development helps people to do their work easily and make them comfortable. The idea of Wireless Printer is using handheld device like Mobile phone through Wi-Fi we print the data. The common data printing procedure for wireless printer has to use notebook or desktop computer as a relay medium, first receiving the data from mobile and then sending it to printer using an appropriate printing method. This paper proposes a design of a device which directly prints the data stored inside the Mobile without the assistance of a notebook or desktop computer and can convert a traditional wired printer into a wireless one with minimal requirements. The design compromises Raspberry pi having Noobs as operating system. The configured Wi-Fi dongle accept file from Mobile and gives to Raspberry Pi. The Printer driver is a program to control a printer that is connected to your system. The CUPs installed on Raspberry Pi do the print job

    Critical analysis of the drug promotional literatures advertised in a tertiary care hospital

    Background: The objective of the study was to critically analyse the drug promotional literatures (DPLs) advertised in a tertiary care hospital.Methods: This observational study was conducted in department of pharmacology, grant government medical college. The data was collected over a period of 3 months after obtaining permission from Institutional Ethics Committee. Around 200 DPLs were collected from different specialty OPDs. Promotional literatures in the form of medical equipment’s, ayurvedic medicine, drug monography, reminder advertisement, identical advertisement and drug name list were excluded from the study. Data compiled was compiled in an excel sheet. The complied data were analyzed with the help of tables and graphs.Results: In our study, the name of the active ingredient, their brand name and the therapeutic uses were mentioned in all the DPLs (100%). The dosage form of the drug was addressed in 85%, whereas the schedule was present in 58% of the DPLs. Most of the DPLs had mentioned about the positive effects of the drug, while few of them described the negative effects of the drugs, namely, adverse drug reactions (39%), precautions to be taken (36%), contraindications (36%) and various drug interactions (33%).Conclusions: A diverse set of results were obtained when a cohort of 200 promotional literatures were analyzed wherein the advantageous effects were highlighted covering the detrimental effects of the drug. DPLs were not in line and accordance with WHO guidelines, but where modified according to the company preferences
