    Interventions to treat mental disorders during pregnancy: A systematic review and multiple treatment meta-Analysis

    Background For women suffering from an antepartum mental disorder (AMD), there is lack of evidencebased treatment algorithms due to the complicated risk-benefit analysis for both mother and unborn child. We aimed to provide a comprehensive overview of pharmacological and nonpharmacological interventions to treat AMD and performed a meta-Analysis of the estimated treatment effect on the psychiatric symptoms during pregnancy. Methods MedLine, PsycINFO and Embase databases were searched by two independent reviewers for clinical trials with a control condition on treatment of women with AMD, i.e. major depressive (MDD), anxiety, psychotic, eating, somatoform and personality disorders. We inventoried the effect of the treatment, i.e. decrease of psychiatric symptoms at the end of the treatment or postpartum. We adhered to the PRISMA-protocol. Findings Twenty-nine trials were found involving 2779 patients. Trials studied patients with depressive disorders (k = 28), and anxiety disorders (k = 1). No pharmacological trials were detected. A form of psychotherapy, like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (g = -0.61; 95%CI:- 0.73 to -0.49, I2 = 0%; k = 7) or Interpersonal Psychotherapy (g = -0.67; 95%CI:-1.27 to -0.07; I2 = 79%; k = 4), holds robust benefit for pregnant women with MDD. Body-oriented interventions (g = -0.43; 95%CI:-0.61 to -0.25; I2 = 17%; k = 7) and acupuncture (g = -0.43; 95%CI:-0.80 to -0.06; I2 = 0%; k = 2) showed medium sized reduction of depressive symptoms. Bright light therapy (g = -0.59; 95%CI:-1.25 to 0.06; I2 = 0%; k = 2), and food supplements (g = -0.51; 95%CI:-1.02 to 0.01; I2 = 20%; k = 3) did not show significant treatment effects.     Selective fractionation of free glucose and starch from microalgae using aqueous two-phase systems

    Microalgae are a promising source of lipids, pigments, proteins and carbohydrates, which are valuable compounds for many industries. However, optimal fractionation and valorization of all produced compounds is necessary to improve the economic viability of microalgae production. This paper aims to understand the fractionation of microalgae carbohydrates (free glucose and starch) in aqueous two-phase systems. Three aqueous two-phase systems were investigated to efficiently and mildly separate carbohydrates from disrupted Neochloris oleoabundans. This strain contains 16 w/w% of proteins, 48 w/w% total fatty acids and 27 w/w% carbohydrates when cultivated under saline water and nitrogen depletion conditions. The protein content decreases and the amount of fatty acids and carbohydrates increases notably under stress conditions and glucose becomes the main carbohydrate in this microalgae. Glucose is present in the disrupted microalgae as part of polymeric carbohydrates (starch) or in monomeric form (free glucose). With the aqueous two-phase system Polyethylene Glycol 400 - Cholinium dihydrogen phosphate (PEG400-ChDHp) microalgal free glucose is fractionated up to a recovery of 99% to the most hydrated bottom phase in a single step. Simultaneously, a recovery of 70% is reached for microalgal starch in the interface after two additional liquid-liquid extractions with PEG400-ChDHp.     Volatilization of fenpropimorph and clopyralid after spraying onto a sugar beet crop

    Volatilization rates of pesticides were measured with two micrometeorological methods. For fenpropimorph, the highest rates (1.3-3.0% per hour) were measured in the first hours after application. The rate gradually declined to less than 0.01% per houron the sixth day. Clopyralid had much lower volatilization rates. They were highest (0.1% per hour) on the day after the day of application and declined below the detection limit (less than 0.01% per hour) on the sixth day after application. Rates calculated with the aerodynamic method were slightly higher than those calculated with the Bowen ratio

    K X-ray yields, M1 strength and the γ-ray quasicontinuum in 153Ho

    The presence of highly converted transitions at high spin in the quasicontinuum spectrum of 153Ho was established from the measurement of K-shell ionization yields. The occurrence of these transitions and the onset of collectivity appear to be correlated. The quasicontinuum γ-ray spectrum was also measured. The X-ray yields cannot be explained solely by internal conversion of transitions with Eγ {slanted equal to or greater-than} 350 keV. Other sources are considered

    Polarization Correlations of 1S0 Proton Pairs as Tests of Bell and Wigner Inequalities

    In an experiment designed to overcome the loophole of observer dependent reality and satisfying the counterfactuality condition, we measured polarization correlations of 1S0 proton pairs produced in 12C(d,2He) and 1H(d,He) reactions in one setting. The results of these measurements are used to test the Bell and Wigner inequalties against the predictions of quantum mechanics.Comment: 8 pages, 4 figure
