Charm and Charmonium Spectroscopy at the e+e- B-Factories
Over the past few years, there has been a lot of progress in the areas of
charm and charmonium spectroscopy, in large part due to the very large data
samples being accumulated at the e+e- B-Factories. In this presentation I will
focus on results in three areas: the X/Y/Z charmonium-candidate states, the
D_sJ charmed-strange mesons, and newly-discovered charmed baryons. Note the
absence of a section on pentaquarks: all B-Factory searches for pentaquarks,
charmed or otherwise, have not yielded any observation of such states.Comment: Flavor Physics & CP Violation Conference, Vancouver, 2006; 11 pages,

The and Transitions in the Extended NJL Model
We calculate within the Extended Nambu--Jona-Lasinio model the leading in
contribution to to all orders in the
external momenta and quark masses. This result is then combined with the known
two-loop Chiral Perturbation Theory and compared with the data and other
calculations. A technical difficulty in the same calculation beyond order
for is identified and for this decay results up to
order are presented.Comment: 13 pages, LaTeX, uses epsf.sty, 3 postscript figures included,

The sigma and f_0(980) from K_e4+pi-pi, gamma-gamma scatterings, J/psi, phi to gamma sigma_B and D_s to l nu sigma_B
We extract the pole positions, hadronic and gamma-gamma widths of sigma and
f_0(980, from pi-pi and gamma-gamma scattering data using an improved analytic
K-matrix model. Our results favour a large gluon component for the sigma and a
\bar ss or/and gluon component for the f_0(980) but neither a large four-quark
nor a molecule component. Gluonium sigma_B production from J/psi, phi radiative
and D_s semi-leptonic decays are also discussed.Comment: 4 pages, 5 figures, 6 tables, talk given by X.-G. Wang at QCD 10

The Reaction in Generalized Chiral Perturbation Theory
The cross section for and the pion
polarizabilities are computed, within generalized chiral perturbation theory,
in the full one loop approximation, {\it i.e.} up to and including order
. The result depends on the parameter defining
the tree level scattering amplitude and on an additional low energy
constant. The latter is shown to be related by an exact sum-rule to the data. The parameter is related to the quark mass ratio
via the expansion of pseudoscalar meson masses. The
generalized one loop amplitude agrees with the
experimental data in the threshold region provided r= {m_s}/{\hat m}\lapprox
10. Higher order corrections are estimated comparing our calculation with the
dispersive approach.Comment: 21 pages (plain latex)+1 fig (using feynman.tex)+ 6 figs (ps file

Unitary chiral dynamics in J/Psi to VPP decays and the role of scalar mesons
We make a theoretical study of the J/Psi decays into \omega\pi\pi,
\phi\pi\pi, \omega K \bar{K} and \phi K\bar{K} using the techniques of the
chiral unitary approach stressing the important role of the scalar resonances
dynamically generated through the final state interaction of the two
pseudoscalar mesons. We also discuss the importance of new mechanisms with
intermediate exchange of vector and axial-vector mesons and the role played by
the OZI rule in the J/\Psi\phi\pi\pi vertex, quantifying its effects. The
results nicely reproduce the experimental data for the invariant mass
distributions in all the channels considered.Comment: 29 pages, 10 figure
