    Functional scale-free networks in the two-dimensional Abelian sandpile model

    Recently, the similarity of the functional network of the brain and the Ising model was investigated by Chialvo [Nat. Phys. 6, 744 (2010)]. This similarity supports the idea that the brain is a self-organized critical system.     University entrepreneurship model based on public service motivation

    Background: Entrepreneurship is vital in today's modern societies. The purpose of this study was to develop a university entrepreneurship model based on public service motivation. Methods: The statistical population of this study in qualitative phase was 27 experts. The opinions of 315 employees were used to measure the variables in the studied Azad Universities of District 6. The present study was a descriptive-correlational research conducted by a survey method. It was also a developmental-applied research in terms of aim. Data collection method was a combination of library and field studies.  Data collection tool was a questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using SPSS software version 25 and AMOS version 25. To examine the research questions, statistical methods of one-sample t-test and structural equations were used. Results: Also, there is a direct relationship between university entrepreneurship and its components including organizational competencies, continuous interaction, university goals and policies, culture and entrepreneurial marketing and good character and temper of administrators. The results also showed that there is a direct relationship between good character and temper of administrators and its components, including courage, patience, honesty, humility, optimism, responsibility of administrators and public service motivation. Conclusion: Given the importance and positive impact of university entrepreneurship on regional development and the new nature of international competition of universities in the economic development of countries, the results of the present study can be used by administrators and planners

    One of the main tools to extend and make deeper the capital market is promoting the level of market analysis. Without extensive and comprehensive research and analysis on the capital markets, we cannot expect to grow capital market's position in the national economy. A brief review of developments in stock companies, as a key element of the market capitalization of the economy, indicates that gap analysis has been existed on this market. But promising steps have been taken towards the use of standard indicators and methodologies for analyzing our capital markets through recent years. However, it is still common that we are far from the analyzing the capital market and we have lots of works to do on this field. In this study we investigated the relationship between conservatism and some characteristics of the board of directors (as the main strategy of the company) in order to motivate and increase the level of investments. To achieve this goal, 53 companies which are the subcategories of Mofid brokerage firm were selected for a period of 6 years (from 1385 to 1391)

    Perhitungan Indeks Massa Tubuh Less Contact Berbasis Computer Vision dan Regresi Linear

    Indeks massa tubuh dapat dilakukan dengan membandingkan tinggi badan dan berat badan seseorang. Pengukurantinggi dan berat badan manusia umumnya menggunakan cara manual dan kurang efisien terutama jika terdapat banyak manusia yang akan diukur dan pada saat masa pandemi yang mengharuskan untuk dapat saling menjaga jarak. Oleh sebab itu, pada penelitian ini dirancang suatu bangun sistem perhitungan Indeks Massa Tubuh (IMT) dengan Computer Vision dan regresi linier yang dapat menjadi alternatif dalam pengembangan sistem perhitungan IMT secara otomatis berbasis sensor kamera yang efektif, efisien, dan mampu mengurangi kontak langsung (less contact). Tahapan awal berupa pengambilan citra depan dan samping tubuh manusia menggunakan kamera yang kemudian masuk ke tahapan pengolahan citra berupa grayscale, blur, deteksi tepi, dan bounding box untuk memperoleh tinggi dan lebar badan sampel dalam piksel yang dilanjutkan dengan operasi regresi linier untuk menkonversi nilai piksel tersebut menjadi centimeter (cm) sehingga diperoleh data tinggi badan dan lebar badan sistem, sedangkan untuk berat badan digunakan metode Body Surface Area (BSA) yaitu perhitungan luas area tubuh manusia dengan memodelkan tubuh manusia sebagai tabung elips dan ditambahkan faktor pengali untuk meningkatkan perhitungan sistem. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa sistem dapat memperkirakan tinggi serta berat badan. Diperoleh akurasi sebesar 98,96% pada perhitungan tinggi badan, 88,54% pada perhitungan berat badan, 88,24% untuk skor Indeks Masa Tubuh (IMT), serta nilai akurasi kategori IMT sebesar 60%

    Visual display terminal (VDT) work has become a major part of operation in majority of workplace. This study aimed to eye fatigue in video display terminal users and its relation to sleep disorders. This cross-sectional study was done on 209 computer users who work more than one year in this field. All participants completed a questionnaire about their age, sex, BMI, years of experience, and hours of daily computer use. A standardized visual fatigue questionnaire was used for detection presence and severity of eye strain. Sleep quality was used to assess Pittsburg Sleep Quality Questionnaire (PSQI) , and the Epworth Sleepiness Questionnaire (ESS) to assess daytime sleepiness in participants. Insomnia was assessed by Insomnia Severity Index (ISI). The most common eye symptoms including eye fatigue (65.5%), eyelid heaviness sensation (69.4%), eye irritation (67.2%), dry eye (67.8%), blurred vision (68.5%), and tearing (68.1%) were significantly higher in participants who were working more than 8 hours with DVT in day. There was a significant correlation between scores of eye fatigue and insomnia severity (Rho=0.32, P<0.05). According to results, the prevalence of eye symptoms particularly eyelid heaviness sensation and blurred vision was high. However, eye fatigue was more affected insomnia severity in VDT users. Therefore, it is needed to protect computer users from the adverse effects of VDT. Implementing proper ergonomic programs to the workplace are important for achievement to good physical and mental health among VDT users.Rad terminala za vizualni prikaz (VDT) postao je glavni dio pogona na većini radnih mjesta. Ova studija presjeka provedena je na 209 korisnika računala koji rade više od jedne godine u ovom području. Svi sudionici ispunili su upitnik o svojoj dobi, spolu, indeksu tjelesne mase, godinama iskustva i satima svakodnevnog korištenja računala. Standardizirani upitnik korišten je kako bi se detektirala prisutnost i ozbiljnost naprezanja oka. Upitnik sadrži 15 pitanja o problemima s očima. Nesanica je ocijenjena indeksom ozbiljnosti nesanice. Najčešći očni simptomi uključujući umor očiju (65,5 %), osjećaj težine kapaka (69,4 %), iritacija oka (67,2 %), suho oko (67,8 %), zamagljen vid (68,5 %) i suzenje oka (68,1 %) bili su značajno viši u sudionika koji su radili više od osam sati s VDT-om na dan. Postojala je značajna korelacija između rezultata umora očiju i ozbiljnosti nesanice (Rho=0,32, P<0,05). Prema ovim rezultatima, prevalencija očnih simptoma bila je visoka i povezana s ozbiljnošću nesanice u naših VDT korisnika. Dakle, potrebno je zaštititi korisnike računala od štetnih VDT učinaka. Implementacija ispravnih ergonomskih programa na radnom mjestu važna je kako bi se postiglo dobro fizičko i mentalno zdravlje među VDT korisnicima

    Further results on why a point process is effective for estimating correlation between brain regions

    Signals from brain functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) can be efficiently represented by a sparse spatiotemporal point process, according to a recently introduced heuristic signal processing scheme. This approach has already been validated for relevant conditions, demonstrating that it preserves and compresses a surprisingly large fraction of the signal information. Here we investigated the conditions necessary for such an approach to succeed, as well as the underlying reasons, using real fMRI data and a simulated dataset. The results show that the key lies in the temporal correlation properties of the time series under consideration. It was found that signals with slowly decaying autocorrelations are particularly suitable for this type of compression, where inflection points contain most of the information.Fil: Cifre, I..     Universal and nonuniversal neural dynamics on small world connectomes: A finite-size scaling analysis

    Evidence of critical dynamics has been found recently in both experiments and models of large-scale brain dynamics. The understanding of the nature and features of such a critical regime is hampered by the relatively small size of the available connectome, which prevents, among other things, the determination of its associated universality class. To circumvent that, here we study a neural model defined on a class of small-world networks that share some topological features with the human connectome. We find that varying the topological parameters can give rise to a scale-invariant behavior either belonging to the mean-field percolation universality class or having nonuniversal critical exponents. In addition, we find certain regions of the topological parameter space where the system presents a discontinuous, i.e., noncritical, dynamical phase transition into a percolated state. Overall, these results shed light on the interplay of dynamical and topological roots of the complex brain dynamics.Fil: Zarepour Nasir Abadi, Mahdi.
