    Grasping bulky objects with two anthropomorphic hands

We use objects modeled as point clouds obtained from a sensor camera or from a CAD model. We then process the point clouds dividing them into two set of slices where we look for sets of triplets of points. Each triplet must accomplish some physical conditions based on the structure of the hands. Then, the triplets of points from each set of slices are evaluated to find a combination that satisfies the force closure condition (FC). Once one valid couple of triplets have been found the inverse kinematics of the system is computed in order to know if the corresponding points are reachable by the hands, if so, motion planning and a collision check are performed to asses if the final grasp configuration of the system is suitable.     Thermodynamics of the S=1 spin ladder as a composite S=2 chain model

    A special class of S=1 spin ladder hamiltonians, with second- neighbor exchange interactions and with anisotropies in the zz-direction, can be mapped onto one-dimensional composite S=2 (tetrahedral S=1) models. We calculate the high temperature expansion of the Helmoltz free energy for the latter class of models, and show that their magnetization behaves closely to that of standard XXZ models with a suitable effective spin SeffS_{eff}, such that Seff(1+Seff)=S_{eff}(1+S_{eff})=, where Si{\bf S}_i refers to the components of spin in the composite model. It is also shown that the specific heat per site of the composite model, on the other hand, can be very different from that of the effective spin model, depending on the parameters of the hamiltonian.Comment: 17 pages, 4 figures.     The high temperature expansion of the classical XYZXYZ chain

    We present the β\beta-expansion of the Helmholtz free energy of the classical XYZXYZ model, with a single-ion anisotropy term and in the presence of an external magnetic field, up to order β12\beta^{12}. We compare our results to the numerical solution of Joyce's [Phys. Rev. Lett. 19, 581 (1967)] expression for the thermodynamics of the XXZXXZ classical model, with neither single-ion anisotropy term nor external magnetic field. This comparison shows that the derived analytical expansion is valid for intermediate temperatures such as kT/Jx0.5kT/J_x \approx 0.5. We show that the specific heat and magnetic susceptibility of the spin-2 antiferromagnetic chain can be approximated by their respective classical results, up to kT/J0.8kT/J \approx 0.8, within an error of 2.5%. In the absence of an external magnetic field, the ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic chains have the same classical Helmholtz free energy. We show how this two types of media react to the presence of an external magnetic field

    The thermodynamics of the spin-SS anisotropic quantum XXZXXZ chain with arbitrary value of SS and unitary norm, in the high-temperature regime, is reported. The single-ion anisotropy term and the interaction with an external magnetic field in the zz-direction are taken into account. We obtain, for arbitrary value of SS, the β\beta-expansion of the Helmholtz free energy of the model up to order β6\beta^6 and show that it actually depends on 1S(S+1)\frac{1}{S(S+1)}. Its classical limit is obtained by simply taking SS\to \infty. At h=0h=0 and D=0, our high temperature expansion of the classical model coincides with Joyce's exact solution\cite{joyce_prl}. We study, in the high temperature region, some thermodynamic quantities such as the specific heat and the magnetic susceptibility as functions of spin and verify for which values of SS those thermodynamic functions behave classically. Their finite temperature behavior is inferred from interpolation of their high- and low-temperature behavior, and shown to be in good agreement with numerical results. The finite temperature behavior is shown for higher values of spin.Comment: 18 pages, 14 figure

    136 p.Esta memoria consiste en crear un Cuadro de Mando Integral para el Área de Mantención de Cementos Bío Bío, Curicó y desarrollar una Propuesta coherente para su Implementación de acuerdo a las condiciones que ofrece este Departamento. El trabajo se inicia con el planteamiento del problema, por el cual se desarrolla este proyecto. Se definen los objetivos del trabajo y posteriormente se detallan las actividades necesarias para el cumplimiento de dichos objetivos. Se incluye el Marco Teórico que sustenta este proyecto, abordando la Gestión del Mantenimiento, Control Interno, Cuadro de Mando Integral e Indicadores del Mantenimiento. La metodología utilizada, hace necesario realizar un levantamiento de información del Área de Mantención, lo que incluye una descripción detallada de la Gestión de actividades. Se lleva a cabo un diagnóstico de la situación actual, y se identifican elementos estratégicos tales como la misión, indicadores existentes, sistema de control, entre otros. Con el levantamiento de Información, se trabaja sobre las cuatro perspectivas estratégicas del Cuadro de Mando Integral, de esta forma se identifican y definen objetivos estratégicos, etapa necesaria para desagregar los objetivos tácticos y operativos. De esta forma se concreta el Mapa Estratégico del Cuadro de Mando Integral, correspondiente a la formalización de la Estrategia de este Departamento. Se identifica, cuáles de los diez Indicadores clave ya existentes se alinean con la Estrategia, creando, posteriormente, siete Indicadores adicionales para dar una respuesta de control global a las tácticas del mantenimiento practicadas. Por último se realiza una propuesta de implementación, en base a una simulación, desarrollada en Excel, a través de la aplicación de Tablas Dinámicas

    El presente estudio tiene por objetivo determinar la relación que existe entre el liderazgo directivo y desempeño docente en una institución educativa de San Juan de Lurigancho- 2022. El estudio realizado fue de tipo básico, con enfoque cuantitativo y se aplicó en el método hipotético-deductivo, diseño no experimental descriptivo correlacional. La población estuvo conformada por un total 50 docentes; la muestra fue la misma cantidad de la población, por otro lado, la selección de la muestra se realizó a través del muestreo no probabilístico por conveniencia, se utilizaron dos instrumentos para recabar la información, el primero fue el cuestionario de liderazgo directivo, mientras que el segundo, el cuestionario de desempeño docente, dicho instrumento de evaluación fue validado por juicios de expertos y la confiabilidad 0.960 para la primera variable, 0,929 para la segunda variable a través del Alpha de Cronbach. Los resultados del coeficiente de correlación r de Rho de Spearman =0.887 indica que existe relación significativa entre las variables, y la significancia bilateral p=0.000<0.05, permitió rechazar la hipótesis nula concluyendo: Existe relación significativa entre el liderazgo directivo y el desempeño docente en una institución educativa de San Juan de Lurigancho – 2022

    A Comment on the beta-expansion of s=1/2 and s=1 Ising Models

    The purpose of the present work is to apply the method recently developed in reference [chain_m] to the spin-1 Ising chain, showing how to obtain analytical β\beta-expansions of thermodynamical functions through this formalism. In this method, we do not solve any transfer matrix-like equations. A comparison between the β\beta-expansions of the specific heat and the magnetic susceptibility for the s=1/2s=1/2 and s=1s=1 one-dimensional Ising models is presented. We show that those expansions have poorer convergence when the auxiliary function of the model has singularities.Comment: 12 pages, 8 figure

    AVALIAÇÃO DA EDUCAÇÃO SUPERIOR: O SINAES DIANTE DO COMPORTAMENTO ORGANIZACIONAL

    Este trabalho teve como objetivo analisar e evidenciar se o comportamento das organizações (Instituições de Ensino Superior - IES) impacta o seu desempenho diante do Sistema Nacional de Avaliação da Educação Superior (Sinaes). Para se atingir o objetivo proposto foi utilizado além das fontes bibliográficas, um formulário, aplicado mediante entrevistas pessoais com funcionários de duas IES codinominadas de Alfa e Beta. A amostra foi escolhida intencionalmente, pois que são duas IES que tiveram resultados díspares, apesar do quantitativo de empregados, serem privadas e estabelecidas na Região Metropolitana do Recife. Observou-se, que o comportamento nas organizações, os estímulos à criatividade, inovação e a tomada de decisões compartilhadas pelos membros estão subjugados à questão econômico-financeira. Desta forma, pode-se concluir que a avaliação atual diante do sistema proposto pelo MEC é influenciada pelo tratamento dispensado aos funcionários das IES pesquisadas
