    Estratégia de atenção à saúde do estudante: experiência em uma universidade brasileira

    Discussions about public health services in Brazil have been widely disseminated, mainly related to access difficulties, discrepancies between legislation and reality, between implementation and implementation, existence of large waiting lines for care, among other issues. In this sense, this work seeks to discuss the constitution of the Embracement as a proposal of work in clinical psychology school, aiming at confronting access to psychological health services and, simultaneously, contributing to the training of the psychologist. The Embracement is carried out by the trainees of the project of extension “Clínica de Psicologia: um olhar em atenção à saúde do estudante”. This project is aimed at the psychosocial care of the student community of the Federal University of Pará, Belém campus and develops its activities in the institution’s school-clinic. The Embracement is the first listening offered to the student who seeks the school-clinic and, in general, is also the first experience of the student with some modality of psychological care. Thus, the proposed reflection is that the Embracement is based on the concept of extended clinic and interdisciplinary work between Psychology, Social Service and Psychiatry. As for the contribution of psychology, guided by the psychoanalytic framework, we highlight two possibilities for collaboration: the Freudian understanding of the beginning of treatment and the concept of transference. Finally, we emphasize that the great characteristic of the Embracement is its interdisciplinary proposal, as well as its contribution to the formation of the Psychologist, since the Embracement presents itself as a rich field of supervised listening.Discussões sobre serviços públicos de saúde no Brasil têm sido largamente difundidas, principalmente relacionadas às dificuldades de acesso, às discrepâncias entre a legislação e a realidade, entre a implantação e a implementação, existência de grandes filas de espera para atendimento, entre outras questões. Neste sentido, este trabalho busca discorrer sobre a constituição do Acolhimento enquanto uma proposta de trabalho em clínica-escola de psicologia, almejando o enfrentamento do acesso aos serviços de saúde psicológica e, simultaneamente, contribuindo com a formação do psicólogo. O Acolhimento é realizado pelos estagiários do projeto de extensão “Clínica de Psicologia: um olhar em atenção à saúde do estudante”. Este projeto é voltado ao atendimento psicossocial da comunidade discente da Universidade Federal do Pará, campus Belém e desenvolve suas atividades nas dependências da clínica-escola da instituição. O acolhimento é a primeira escuta ofertada ao discente que procura a clínica-escola e, em geral, é também a primeira experiência do estudante com alguma modalidade de atendimento psicológico. Deste modo, a reflexão proposta é a de que o Acolhimento se baseia no conceito de clínica ampliada e no trabalho interdisciplinar entre a Psicologia, Serviço Social e Psiquiatria. Quanto à contribuição da psicologia, orientada pelo referencial psicanalítico, destacamos duas possibilidades de colaboração: a compreensão freudiana sobre o início do tratamento e o conceito de transferência. Por fim, destacamos que a grande característica do Acolhimento é sua proposta interdisciplinar, bem como sua contribuição para a formação do Psicólogo, uma vez que o Acolhimento se apresenta como um rico campo de escuta supervisionada

    Psicólogo na assistência estudantil: intervenções na universidade federal do pará

    The actions directed at student support at the Federal University of Pará (UFPA) are the responsibility of SAEST, an oversight that proposes to monitor and evaluate the internal policy of Student Assistance in accordance with the provisions of the National Plan for Student Assistance (PNAES), regulated by Decree No. 7234 / 2010 that aims to: democratize the conditions of permanence of young people in federal public higher education; minimize the effects of social and regional inequalities in the permanence and completion of higher education; reduce retention and evasion rates; and contribute to the promotion of social inclusion through education. These resolutions aim to meet the demands of permanence, accessibility, integration and inclusion of UFPA students in socioeconomic vulnerability. It is interesting to question the place of the psychologist in the policies of assistance to the students of the Federal University of Pará. We propose an intervention research with a qualitative approach whose objective is to describe the actions in progress and to formulate new possibilities of engagement compatible with the praxis of the psychologist who contribute with the specificities of the demands of higher education in the university in question. The competencies, actions and projects related to the psychologist’s performance in student assistance were characterized and the perspectives of exercising their work from the preventive conception, at the evaluative and treatment levels, were characterized. With this, we envisage in the professional of psychology the qualification in the offer of qualified listening, enabling the student to articulate their demands, granting him the condition of agent in the field of assistance policies in the university.As ações direcionadas ao suporte discente na Universidade Federal do Pará (UFPA) são competência da SAEST, superintendência que propõe acompanhar e avaliar a política interna de Assistência Estudantil em consonância aos preceitos do Plano Nacional de Assistência Estudantil (PNAES), regulamentado pelo Decreto nº 7234/2010 que visa: democratizar as condições de permanência dos jovens na educação superior pública federal; minimizar os efeitos das desigualdades sociais e regionais na permanência e conclusão da educação superior; reduzir as taxas de retenção e evasão; e contribuir para a promoção da inclusão social pela educação. Tais resoluções objetivam atender às demandas de permanência, acessibilidade, integração e inclusão de discentes da UFPA em vulnerabilidade socioeconômica. Interessa-nos questionar o lugar do psicólogo nas políticas de assistência aos discentes da Universidade Federal do Pará. Propomos uma pesquisa-intervenção com enfoque qualitativo cujo objetivo é descrever as ações em andamento e formular novas possibilidades de engajamento compatíveis com a práxis do psicólogo que contribuam com as especificidades das demandas da educação superior na universidade em questão. Foram caracterizadas as competências, ações e projetos vinculados à atuação do psicólogo na assistência estudantil e delineadas as perspectivas de exercício do seu trabalho desde a concepção preventiva, aos níveis avaliativo e de tratamento. Com isto, vislumbramos no profissional de psicologia a habilitação na oferta de escuta qualificada possibilitando ao aluno articular suas demandas, conferindo-lhe a condição de agente no campo das políticas de assistência na universidade

    Assessment of clinical characteristics and viral load in individuals infected by Delta and Omicron variants of SARS-CoV-2

    In late 2021, a new variant of SARS-CoV-2 called Omicron emerged, replacing Delta worldwide. Although it has been associated with a lower risk of hospitalization and severe forms of COVID-19, there is little evidence of its relationship with specific symptoms and viral load. The aim of this study was to verify the relationship between Delta and Omicron variants of concern, viral load, and the occurrence of symptoms in individuals with COVID-19. Nasopharyngeal swab samples were collected and sequenced from patients with COVID-19 from the Northeast Region of Brazil between August 2021 and March 2022. The results showed a gradual replacement of the Delta variant by the Omicron variant during the study period. A total of 316 samples (157 Delta and 159 Omicron) were included. There was a higher prevalence of symptoms in Delta-infected individuals, such as coryza, olfactory and taste disturbances, headache, and myalgia. There was no association between viral load and the variants analyzed. The results reported here contribute to the understanding of the symptoms associated with the Delta and Omicron variants in individuals affected by COVID-19

    Brazilian Flora 2020: Leveraging the power of a collaborative scientific network

    International audienceThe shortage of reliable primary taxonomic data limits the description of biological taxa and the understanding of biodiversity patterns and processes, complicating biogeographical, ecological, and evolutionary studies. This deficit creates a significant taxonomic impediment to biodiversity research and conservation planning. The taxonomic impediment and the biodiversity crisis are widely recognized, highlighting the urgent need for reliable taxonomic data. Over the past decade, numerous countries worldwide have devoted considerable effort to Target 1 of the Global Strategy for Plant Conservation (GSPC), which called for the preparation of a working list of all known plant species by 2010 and an online world Flora by 2020. Brazil is a megadiverse country, home to more of the world's known plant species than any other country. Despite that, Flora Brasiliensis, concluded in 1906, was the last comprehensive treatment of the Brazilian flora. The lack of accurate estimates of the number of species of algae, fungi, and plants occurring in Brazil contributes to the prevailing taxonomic impediment and delays progress towards the GSPC targets. Over the past 12 years, a legion of taxonomists motivated to meet Target 1 of the GSPC, worked together to gather and integrate knowledge on the algal, plant, and fungal diversity of Brazil. Overall, a team of about 980 taxonomists joined efforts in a highly collaborative project that used cybertaxonomy to prepare an updated Flora of Brazil, showing the power of scientific collaboration to reach ambitious goals. This paper presents an overview of the Brazilian Flora 2020 and provides taxonomic and spatial updates on the algae, fungi, and plants found in one of the world's most biodiverse countries. We further identify collection gaps and summarize future goals that extend beyond 2020. Our results show that Brazil is home to 46,975 native species of algae, fungi, and plants, of which 19,669 are endemic to the country. The data compiled to date suggests that the Atlantic Rainforest might be the most diverse Brazilian domain for all plant groups except gymnosperms, which are most diverse in the Amazon. However, scientific knowledge of Brazilian diversity is still unequally distributed, with the Atlantic Rainforest and the Cerrado being the most intensively sampled and studied biomes in the country. In times of “scientific reductionism”, with botanical and mycological sciences suffering pervasive depreciation in recent decades, the first online Flora of Brazil 2020 significantly enhanced the quality and quantity of taxonomic data available for algae, fungi, and plants from Brazil. This project also made all the information freely available online, providing a firm foundation for future research and for the management, conservation, and sustainable use of the Brazilian funga and flora
