THE EFFECTIVENESS OF CROSSWORD PUZZLES GAME TOWARDS IMPROVING STUDENTS’ VOCABULARY MASTERY

The paper entitles “The Effectiveness of Crossword Puzzle Game towards Improving Students’ Vocabulary Mastery”. The aims of this research are to find out the effectiveness of crossword puzzles game in improving students’ vocabulary mastery and also to know the students’ response by using crossword puzzles game at the second grade of SMP Muara Madani. The research method is a pre-experimental using 23 students as sample from 100 students of population. To obtain the data, the writer used pre-test, post-test and questionnaire. The sample are given the pre-test before the treatment is given to them. The post-test and the questionnaire are given in order to find out the improvement of the sample after the treatment using crossword puzzles game. The data result of the test is analysed by using t-test. The finding of this research shows that crossword puzzle game is effective for improving students’ vocabulary mastery. It can be seen from the t-observed is higher that t-table (3.07 > 2.069) at p = 0.5. That means Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. Other than that, from the questionnaire data result crossword puzzles game also get the positive response from the participant. Thus, crossword puzzle game can improve the students not only their vocabulary mastery, but also can help students in learning vocabulary, suitable to be applied in the classroom, make the students happy and also can make the students exited while the students learning English vocabulary mastery

Tangerang Regency Education Office is a government agency in charge of controlling the education sector. In its business process, the Education Office still faces difficulties in obtaining reports on employment in periodic salary increases, because the system used is still using the help of Microsoft excel application software that is semi computerized, so that every data reported often has errors in providing civil servant salaries. Based on these problems Tangerang District Education Office is in dire need of an automated computer system that can control the regular salary increases of civil servants effectively and efficiently. As a tool to help in object-oriented programming language, Unified Modeling Language (UML) is used to describe the system, while data collection techniques use observation, interview, and literature study methods, so that the system can be monitored properly, effectively and efficiently using MySql databases, and PHP

MODEL PEMBERDAYAAN MASYARAKAT DAN STRATEGI PEMASARAN PADA PENGEMBANGAN DESA WISATA RUMAH BUDAYA WATULIMO YANG BERBASIS INDUSTRI KREATIF DI KABUPATEN TRENGGALEK

Most of the tourism villages in Rumah Budaya Watulimo and  Regencies only present the potential for local beauty of their respective regions, but have not yet touched on the development of creative industries by utilizing the existing potentials in those areas. The development of a tourism village generally has a positive impact on the life of the village community, especially the physical environment, economic, social and cultural conditions of the community around the tourist area. However, the addition of creative industries will be able to have a more positive impact on the people's economy. This study aims to implement community empowerment, especially for women and children as educational media in developing creative industry-based tourism villages in Trenggalek and  districts. This research includes action research. The community empowerment strategy refers to the Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) methodology or Asset-Based Community Assistance. In terms of implementation. The collected research data is then processed and analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the implementation of community empowerment was carried out through the fashion creative industry in the tourist village and training in the corncob craft creative industry. The involvement of women in the corncob creative industry training is given starting from the processing of raw materials to a variety of products, as well as training in packing models and marketing programs, so that they are not only able to produce but also able to do marketing. Pengelompokan Tahapan Pembuatan Tudung dengan Efektif dan Efisien Guna Membangun Perekonomian Masyarakat Rentan Miskin di Desa Grujugan

Grujugan Village, Petanahan, Kebumen is one of the villages where 90% of the people have their main livelihood. The manufacturing process is carried out independently and manually from the initial process of cutting bamboo to finishing the product. The program or activity of efficiency in making hoods from woven bamboo consists of preparation, observation, preparation of tools and materials. Providing tool assistance makes the production process faster and more efficient than the manual production process. It is proven that the production of woven bamboo hoods is more than manual. The community empowerment program (P2MD) is expected to improve the economic sector in Grujugan village.Desa Grujugan, Petanahan, Kebumen merupakan salah satu desa yang 90 % masyarakatnya memiliki mata pencaharian utama. Proses pembuatan tersebut dilakukan secara mandiri dan manual dari mulai proses awal pemotongan bambu sampai finishing produk. Program atau kegiatan efisiensi pembuatan tudung dari anyaman bambu terdiri dari persiapan, observasi, penyiapan alat dan bahan. Pemberian bantuan alat proses produksi menjadi lebih cepat dan lebih efisien dibandingkan proses produksi yang manual. Terbukti dengan hasil produksi tudung anyaman bambu lebih banyak dibanding manual. Program pemberdayaan masyarakat (P2MD) diharapkan dapat meningkatkan sektor ekonomi di desa grujugan
