Moreover it can be found abundantly at sawmill with low price Sawdust has a potential to be used as a material for construction, can be used to make furniture and many more. In order reveal the potential of sawdust, this research project will investigate about the characteristic of sawdust, application of sawdust and how to improve the mechanical properties of sawdust. As for this research paper, chapter 1 will give introduction on the background of the project. Problem statement of this project will be explained to enlighten the main objective and the advantages of conducting this project. Besides, the objectives and the scope of the study will also be presented, After that we will proceed to the second chapter which contain the idea and concept of this project in details to make sure the significance o =f this project will be deliver. This chapter will be explaining about the sawdust, Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA) and Ethylene Vinyl Acetate Sawdust Composites. In order to understand how this project are carried on, this research project also include the research methodology, the experimental approach ,procedures as well as key milestone to cover the whole journey of this experiment. Finally in the last chapter, all result and discussions, calculations and recommendation will conclude everything that have been achieved while doing this project

    The concrete is the man-made material which is well-known and enormously utilized by the whole world. This matter leads to crucial problems related to its design and expectation to finally gain an economic cost of the product for both short and long duration. The concrete need to be also environmental friendly during its fabrication process . In order to fulfill the society requirements, concrete’s performances have frequently rise from one time to another. The effort from various researchers have developing concrete's achievement throughout many aspects. Also, a lot of research and studies have been done touching the mixing of additive super–plasticizers in the concrete for passing the minimum water content in achieving a good workability of a concrete. As a result from the studies, high performance of concretes which have high durability were generated. To enhance the concrete performance, straight type steel fiber is used. The fibers will improve some characteristics and properties of the concrete. Five mixtures of concrete with different percentage of volume fraction (0, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0) of straight type fibers will be investigated in this studies. The hardened properties of the concrete will be determined by some experiments conducted like compression strength, flexural strength, tensile strength of the concrete. The V-funnel, and slump test also will be conducted to access the fresh properties like workability and flowability of the concrete. The result will indicate the increase strength of the concrete

    The use of natural gas as fuel for motorcycles

    Utilization of motorcycle in Malaysia is really synonym especially for lower income group. Statistic for motor vehicles in Malaysia shown that nearly five million units or over the half are motorcycles. These are mostly small capacity, two or four stroke engine motorcycles. The use of low quality fuel to operate motorcycles causes a serious pollutant especially in densely populated areas. Besides, crude oil reserve in Malaysia is expected to finish within 19 years. Natural gas is now acknowledged by the world as being a mainstream alternative fuel. It has a high octane rating that is general indication of the ability of the fuel to burn more efficient and improving engine performance. Malaysia has massive, under exploited natural gas reserve. As such a study has been conducted by a group of researchers from Gas Technology Centre (GASTEG) to diversify the usage of natural gas especially as a fuel for internal combustion engine. The product of this research is a set of natural gas conversion kits and the first prototype of natural gas motorcycle. The exhaust emissions from natural gas motorcycle give complete combustion, which decrease 99.6% of carbon monoxide and 72.5% of unburned hydrocarbon at a speed of 70km/hr. However, the lower heat content of natural gas and the lower burning velocity as compared to gasoline reduces the engine maximum power for about 15% at high engine speed without any modification to the original engine. These parameters can be used as a guidance to the motorcycle industry how to utilise natural gas as a fuel, a new and a leading technology for the world that propelling Malaysia for the next millennium with clean city

    Municipal Wastewater Treatment by Sequencing Batch Reactor

    The report presents municipal wastewater treatment using Biological process by Sequencing Batch Reacror (SBR). The aim of the study is to investigate the SBR on the removal of organic compound and nutrient namely nitrogen and phosphorus. Lab scale SBR model with the presence ~f anoxic-aeration state was operated in 5 state of cycle in SBR which are the Filling, React, Settle, Decant and Idle period. Effluent discharged during the Decant state have resulted a high quality ef!luent with low concentration of COD, TSS and annnonia and nitrate. The removal of COD, TSS, ammonia and nitrate was 69.4%, 47.67%, 86.07% and 59.16% respectively. The optimum parameter was evaluated based on the perfOrmance at various rates. Hydraulic Retention Time (HRT) of the SBR cycle at 17.22 hours results in the optimum removal reduction of nitrogen

    This study aims to interpret the news of religious moderation in Republika Online. The research data used is from the documentation of religious moderation news in Republika Online. The theory used is the framing of Robert N. Entman. The conclusion of the study is that the news of religious moderation in the Republika Online media is a text that has multiple interpretations. Overall, the framing built by the Republic of Indonesia Online is moderate and in line with moderate by developing tolerance and building nationalism. In the end, news of religious moderation in the Republika Online media is a text that has multiple interpretations. The news can be interpreted in different ways according to the different ideological contexts by each newsreader. Like the constructionist school of thought, there is no right or wrong in interpreting news texts, because news texts are subjective constructions of reality. Although subjective, Republika Online tries to build news framing more on nationalism. In the news of religious moderation related to Muslims, Republika Online develops a framing that does not only defend Muslims. As a national media, Republika Online tries to develop a framing that can be accepted by the wider community, both Muslim and non-Muslim communities

    Premature ejaculation and quality of life among men attending Klinik Kesihatan Jaya Gading, Kuantan

    Introduction Premature ejaculation (PE) is an important sexual problem among men attending health clinic. Impacts of this condition towards quality of life still require further exploration. Aims of the study is to determine the proportion and determinants for PE and its impact on Quality of Life (QOL) among men attending a public health clinic in Kuantan Methods A cross-sectional study involving 290 respondents was conducted at a public health clinic over the period of five months (Nov 2015-March 2016). A validated self-administrated questionnaire that consisted of socio-demographic questionnaire, clinical characteristics, premature ejaculation diagnostic tool (PEDT) and WHO quality of life (WHOQOL-BREF) were used. Results The proportion of PE was 33.9% with PE 18.1% (49/271) and probable PE 15.8% (43/271). Multivariate analysis showed that level of education (p=0.002, OR 3.281/95% CI 1.183, 9.101) and hypertension (p=0.047, OR 1.788/95% CI 1.008, 3.170) were the only significant predictors for PE after controlling self-reported erectile dysfunction, pulmonary and neurological disorder. PE patients had lower median scores QOL in all four domain namely physical health, psychological, social relationship, environment (all domains with p<0.001). Conclusions The proportion of men diagnosed with premature ejaculation in this study is high and possibly associated with level of education and hypertension. Men with PE had lower quality of life in domains of physical health, psychological, social relationship and environment. Hence, it is recommended for PE screening among male attendees to primary health clinic especially those with hypertension and moderate level of education
