The Applications of Multiplier Analyses in Analyzing the Roles of Industrial Sectors: The Case of Indonesia
The purpose of this study is to analyze the roles of industrial sectors in the Indonesian national economy by using simple output multiplier, and simple household income multiplier, the analysis tools in Input-Output (IO) analysis. The analysis period of the study is 2010. The results show that, on the period of analysis, electricity and gas sector had the highest simple output multiplier value. Therefore, one can argue that an additional final demand for the sector would generate the most attractive effect to the Indonesian economy by using the multiplier on the period of analysis. On the contrary, the lowest value of the multiplier was owned by the water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation activities sector in 2010. On the other hand, from the point of view of simple household income multiplier, the highest value was owned by the public administration and defence; compulsory social security sector on the analysis period. This result indicates that an additional rupiah of final demand for the sector would generate the highest new household income on the analysis period. Conversely, the real estate activities sector had the lowest simple household income multiplier value in 2010
Analyzing The Roles of The Construction Sector by Using Multiplier Analyses: The Cases of Indonesia And Japan
This study aims to analyze the roles of the constructionsector in the Indonesian and
Japanese national economies by employing simple output and simple household income
multipliers, the analysis devices in the analysis of Input-Output (IO). The analysis periods of
the study are 2010 and 2011. The former year is an analysis period for the case of Indonesia
while the Japanese case utilizes the latter one.The study uses2010 Indonesian and 2011
Japanese IO tables as data. The results show that, by utilizing simple output multiplier, the
discussed sector included in the top five sectors for both cases on the analysis periods. Based
on the results, one can say that the sector had the important positions in the national economies
of both countries on the periods of analysis. On the other hand, by using simple household
income multiplier, the analyzed sector included in the top five sectors on the analysis period for
the Japanese case

Using Multiplier Analyses in Analyzing the Roles of Japanese
The purpose of this study is to analyze the roles of industrial sectors in the Japanese national economy by using simple output multiplier, and simple household income multiplier, the analysis tools in Input-Output (IO) analysis. The analysis period of the study is 2011. The results show that, on the period of analysis, manufacturing sector had the highest simple output multiplier value. Therefore, one can argue that an additional final demand for the sector would generate the most attractive effect to the Japanese economy by using the multiplier on the period of analysis. Conversely, the lowest value of the multiplier was owned by the real estate sector in 2011. On the other hand, from the point of view of simple household income multiplier, the highest value was owned by the construction sector on the analysis period. This result indicates that an additional yen of final demand for the sector would generate the highest new household income on the period of analysis. On the contrary, as with the previous multiplier, the real estate sector had the lowest simple household income multiplier value in 2011
Understanding The Management Organization Structure Of Paprika Production Areas In Indonesia Based On The Viewpoint Of Forthcoming Globalization
The purpose of this study was to understand the management structure that is developing
based on social marketing style within the largest paprika-production areas in Indonesia. Through
this research, we aimed to clarify the direction and challenges for future development using the
strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) analysis method. A field survey of local
farming organizations was conducted on December 2011 at West Bandung Regency, Java, Indonesia.
The results show that nearly the entire structure of the system was dedicated to the production
and
sale of raw paprika without creating any processed product. The counterparties were not
corporations
but individual buyers. Farming
organizations could expand their counterparties to
include
corporations, but they do not use this strategy because they believe that the production
speed
of the mature laborers was not sufficient to keep up with market demands, and a rash
judgment
to expand the management scale would necessarily lead to the degradation of product
quality.
These farming organizations empirically understand that they could lose counterparties;
therefore,
they attach greater importance to maintaining faithful counterparties than to attracting
new
customers

Analysis of Influences of ICT on Structural Changes in Japanese Commerce, Business Services and Office Supplies, and Personal Services Sectors Using Multivariate Analysis: 1985β2005
This study analyzes influences of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the structural changes of Japanese industrial sectors from 1985 through 2005. ICT is represented by two explanatory variables, computers (including main parts and accessories) and telecommunications equipment. We investigate influences by the Constrained Multivariate Regression (CMR) model and test the statistical significance of this model by the Likelihood Ratio Test (LRT) method. We then perform microscopic analysis, focusing on the commerce, business services and office supplies, and personal services sectors. The results show that these variables, separately and jointly, had significant influence on structural changes in Japanese industrial sectors, including the analyzed ones. The patterns of influence in analyzed sectors are, however, different. Based on this difference, we can say that during 1985β2005 the business circumstances of the analyzed sectors were dissimilar. Keywords: ICT, Industrial Structural Changes, CMR, LRT, Japandoi:10.12695/ajtm.2013.6.2.5 How to cite this article:Zuhdi, U., Mori, S., and Kamegai, K.
