    Modeling The Unemployment Rate At The Eu Level By Using Box-Jenkins Methodology

    Unemployment, as a measure of market conditions, appears as a crucial economic problem and a phenomenon with considerable negative social consequences, and, as such, requires attention and adequate approach to finding solutions. Enormous unemployment rates are a reality not only in developing and transition countries, but also in some developed countries. Inadequately conducted privatization, unsuccessful transfer of workers from the public to the private sector, inefficiency in attracting foreign direct investment, and the world economic crisis of 2008 have made unemployment a universal disease of modern society. The paper presents economic models in which the unemployment rate is the central analyzed phenomenon. In this context, an important task of European economic policy-makers is to project future unemployment rates. Box-Jenkins methodology, i.e. the seasonal ARIMA model, is one approach to the modeling of time series, or, more specifically, for forecasting future values. The subject of this paper is the analysis of the evolution of the unemployment problem on the basis of the values in the period from 2000 to 2015, based on the case of 28 countries of the European Union. Building on the research subject, the purpose of the paper is to create the statistical model for forecasting the values of the monthly unemployment rates in the European Union for the future and establishing its trend.     Merenje fizičkih, hemijskih, bioloških parametara je važno za praćenje stanja kvaliteta voda, a samim tim i veoma važno i u akvakulturi. Visokofrekventna merenja kvaliteta voda se poslednjih godina uspešno obavljaju i u Srbiji upotrebom multiparametarske sonde, jednostavne za rukovanje a složene po pitanju parametara koje može meriti u istom trenutku. Potreba za kontrolom kvaliteta vode raste sa povećanjem produkcije ribnjaka. Od ekstenzivnog gajenja, poluintezivnog, preko intenzivnog i superintenzivnog gajenja ribe, proces kontrole kvaliteta vode se usložnjava, dakle od povremenog kontrolisanja kvaliteta (mesečno, kod ekstenzivne proizvodnje), preko dnevne, kontrole na sat, i konačno do kontinuiranog praćenja kontrole kvaliteta (super-intenzivno). Praćenje kvaliteta senzorima i sondom je moguce u svim navedenim tipovima ribnjaka, ali je svakako primena takve metode najpotrebnija u superintenzivnoj ribnjačkoj proizvodnji

    Innovation and Digital Transformation as a Competition Catalyst

    The basic aim of the paper is to examine the relationship between innovation and digital transformation, on the one hand, and the conditions of competition on the other hand. The intensive application of advanced technologies leads to a digital transition and companies which operate in a changing environment must pass through it. The market share depends on, among other factors, the speed of digital transformation. One of the implications of this process is the strengthening of competitive pressure among companies. The correlation between exposure to digitalisation and productivity causes the effects that are reflected an increasing gap between the most successful companies and those less successful who are struggling to survive in the market. The question arises what is the role of innovations in modern business conditions and whether they represent substitution for price competition. The results show that efficient enterprises in the static neoclassical sense can not withstand the pressure of their competitors without innovations. Therefore, it can be noted that innovations are crucial for survival of companies in the capitalist economy

    The Different Clinical Courses of Legionnaires’ Disease in Newborns from the Same Maternity Hospital

    In children, the incidence of Legionnaires’ disease (LD) is unknown, hospital-acquired LD is associated with clinical risk factors and environmental risk, and children with cell-mediated immune deficiency are at high risk of infection. Both newborns were born in the same delivery room; stayed in the same hospital room where they were cared for, bathed, and breastfed; were male; were born on time, with normal birth weight, and with high Apgar score at birth; and survived this severe infection (L. pneumophila, serogroup 2-15) but with different clinical courses. In neonate 1, bleeding in the brain, thrombosis of deep pelvic veins, and necrosis of the lungs, which left behind cystic and cavernous changes in the lungs, were found, while neonate 2 suffered from pneumonia alone. The only difference in risk factors for LD between these two newborns is the number of days of illness until the start of azithromycin treatment (sixth versus the third day of illness). We suggest that a change in the guidelines for diagnosing and treating community-acquired pneumonia and hospital-acquired pneumonia in newborns is needed in terms of mandatory routine testing for Legionella pneumophila. Early initiation of macrolide therapy is crucial for the outcome of LD in the newborn
