Légirégészeti kutatások Magyarországon = Aerial Archeological Researches in Hungary

Kutatási programunk legfontosabb eredménye, hogy teljeskörűen azonosítottuk a Burgundiai Régió és az ELTE Régészettudományi Intézete közötti, 1993-tól 2000-ig tartó együttműködés keretében készített légifotókat és a 2001-2007 között, önálló kutatásaink során fényképezett új légifotó-lelőhelyeket. Ezzel az archívumunkban nyilvántartott légifotó-lelőhelyek száma meghaladta a 800-at, a felvételek száma a 14000-et, amivel elértük a közepes méretű európai archívumok méretét és feldolgozottsági szintjét. Az adatok rendezését, a gyors keresést teljeskörű számítógépes nyilvántartásunk teszi lehetővé. 2001-2007 között az ismert őskori földvárak 80%-áról légifotó-dokumentációt készítettünk, ami számos esetben vezetett új erődítési részletek megismeréséhez. 1993-2007 között közel 20 korábban ismeretlen, feltehetően nagyrészt őskori dokumentáltunk. Az archívum számos adatot szolgáltatott Belső-Pannonia rómaikori úthálózatának megismeréséhez, amit célzott repülésekkel egészítettünk ki. A légifotók fotogrammetriai illesztésével nemcsak az utak vonalvezetését, irányát, hanem szélességét, sőt határoló árkait is sikerült megfigyelni, amire a korábbi kutatások során nem volt lehetőség, az új burgusokkal kiegészítettük a pannoniai limesre vonatkozó ismereteket. A program révén két szakdolgozat készülhetett el, eredményeinket a publikációkon túl kiállításokon (2005, Képzőművészeti Egyetem; Denkmal 2006, Lipcse; 2007, Örökség Galéria) mutattuk be. | The project is resulted with the complete identification of the aerial archaeological photos taken during the cooperation (1993-2000) of the Region of Burgundy and the Institute for Archaeology (ELTE University, Budapest) as well as during our research programme (2001-2007). With this, the number of the aerial archaeological sites recorded in our archive is nearly 800, the number of the photos is about 14,000. We've reached the size and stage of processing of the middle-sized European archives. The integration of the data and the fast search in the database is ensured by our full-scale computer registry. Between 2001 and 2007 we've completed an aerial photo documentation of about 80% of the known Prehistoric earthwork fortifications, in many cases we've found new details. Between 1993 and 2007 we've discovered some 20 presumably Prehistoric fortifications unknown before. The archive made many contributions to the Roman Age road system of Inner Pannonia. The photogrammetrical reference of the aerial photos made possible to track not just their direction but the width and the side trenches. This was not possible during the former research. We've also found new burguses which is a great contribution to our knowledge on the Pannonian limes. By means of this programme there?ve been two MA theses completed and our results have been displayed in publications and at exhibitions (2005 - Budapest, Univeristy of Fine Arts, Denkmal 2006 - Leipzig, 2007 - Örökség Galéria)

Neue Wege der Erforschung des Siedlungs- und Wegenetzes im römischen Pannonien.

Die umfassende und zusammenhängende Unters uchung der nicht autonomen Siedlungen (wie villae und vici ) bzw. des sie miteinander verbindenden Straßennetzes im römischen Pannonien stagnierte trotz neuerer Studien bis in jüngste Zeit. Die grundlegende Ursache dafür liegt einer- seits in der nicht ausreichenden Zahl von archäologischen Grabungen, andererseits aber darin, dass die traditionellen Methoden (Grabung, Geländ ebegehung, Archivarbeiten) unverändert blei- ben. Dazu kommt noch, dass in der Erforschung de s Straßennetzes traditionell dieselben Quel- len (hauptsächlich Itinerarien) und deren En tfernungsangaben bzw. die der Meilensteine diskutiert werden, ohne grundlegende Neu igkeiten und überzeugende neue Beweise – abgesehen von einigen doch wichtigen Details – aufzeigen zu können. Man kann feststellen, dass sogar die jüngsten Arbeiten dieselben Probleme wiederhol en, von anderen Standpunkten aus beleuchten, ohne zu überzeugenden neuen Erkenntnissen kommen zu können 1 .ErstindenletztenJahren konnten durch neue Methoden auc h neue Erkenntnisse erzielt wer den, welche im Folgenden vor- gestellt werden

Aerial Geoarchaeological Survey in the Valleys of the Mureş and Arieş Rivers (2009-2013)

The paper presents the most important results of the Romanian–Hungarian aerial archaeological project, i.e.the intensive topographic research of the Middle Mureş Valley. Situated between the mountains, in the widen-ing valley section various aged/high terraces were formed, providing proper conditions for human habitats.Beside the already documented stone buildings from the Roman period, observed due to the negative cropmarks – especially in 2013 – positive crop marks of settlements datable before and after the Roman periodwere observed in large variety. The simultaneous examination of the geomorphological conditions underlinedsignificant differences between the prehistoric and Roman strategies of settlement establishment
