A Method of Quantitative Evaluation of Diagenetic Reservoir Facies of Tight Gas Reservoirs With Logging Multi-Parameters: A Case Study in Sulige Area, Northern Ordos Basin, China

    Get PDF
Reservoir and flow characteristics of low, ultra-low permeability tight sandstone reservoir were largely controlled by diagenesis in reservoir assessment. In previous studies, diagenesis were researched only by using core analysis data, and it was difficult that diagenetic reservoir facies of the interval and the well without core analysis data were evaluated. Therefore, it was easy and quick that diagenetic reservoir facies were characterized with logging response characteristics which were extracted effectively. Taking tight gas reservoirs for example in Sulige area, northern Ordos Basin, China, logging response characteristics of different classification were analyzed by multiple samples with core analysis data, and the quantitative evaluation index of diagenetic reservoir facies based on logging multi-parameter was set up. A method of quantitative evaluation of diagenetic reservoir facies of tight gas reservoirs with logging multi-parameters was formed in the method of integration of analysis technology of Grey theory, and the accuracy and availability of the method were evaluated. The results shown that non-digitalized problems of diagenetic reservoir facies evaluation was solved by the digitalization method of logging multi-parameters, and the rate of accuracy, of returned classification using methods of mutual test, reached to 91.2%. The results provided a new and effective evaluation approach of low, ultra-low permeability tight sandstone reservoir

CP-EB: Talking Face Generation with Controllable Pose and Eye Blinking Embedding

This paper proposes a talking face generation method named "CP-EB" that takes an audio signal as input and a person image as reference, to synthesize a photo-realistic people talking video with head poses controlled by a short video clip and proper eye blinking embedding. It's noted that not only the head pose but also eye blinking are both important aspects for deep fake detection. The implicit control of poses by video has already achieved by the state-of-art work. According to recent research, eye blinking has weak correlation with input audio which means eye blinks extraction from audio and generation are possible. Hence, we propose a GAN-based architecture to extract eye blink feature from input audio and reference video respectively and employ contrastive training between them, then embed it into the concatenated features of identity and poses to generate talking face images. Experimental results show that the proposed method can generate photo-realistic talking face with synchronous lips motions, natural head poses and blinking eyes.Comment: Accepted by the 21st IEEE International Symposium on Parallel and Distributed Processing with Applications (IEEE ISPA 2023

Low-loss optical waveguides in β-BBO crystal fabricated by femtosecond-laser writing

We report on the fabrication and characterization of β-BBO depressed cladding waveguides fabricated by femtosecond-laser writing with no significant changes in the waveguide lattice microstructure. The waveguiding properties and the propagation losses of the cladding structures are investigated, showing good transmission properties at wavelengths of 400 and 800 nm along TM polarization. The minimum propagation losses are measured to be as low as 0.19 dB/cm at wavelength of 800 nm. The well-preserved waveguide lattice microstructure and good guiding performances with low propagation losses suggest the potential applications of the cladding waveguides in β-BBO crystal as novel integrated photonic devices. The work is supported by the 111 Project of China (No. B13029), Junta de Castilla y León (Project SA116U13), and Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad (MINECO) (FIS2013-44174-P)

    Mitochondrial Membrane Remodeling

    Get PDF
Mitochondria are key regulators of many important cellular processes and their dysfunction has been implicated in a large number of human disorders. Importantly, mitochondrial function is tightly linked to their ultrastructure, which possesses an intricate membrane architecture defining specific submitochondrial compartments. In particular, the mitochondrial inner membrane is highly folded into membrane invaginations that are essential for oxidative phosphorylation. Furthermore, mitochondrial membranes are highly dynamic and undergo constant membrane remodeling during mitochondrial fusion and fission. It has remained enigmatic how these membrane curvatures are generated and maintained, and specific factors involved in these processes are largely unknown. This review focuses on the current understanding of the molecular mechanism of mitochondrial membrane architectural organization and factors critical for mitochondrial morphogenesis, as well as their functional link to human diseases.Peer reviewe

LinkLouvain: Link-Aware A/B Testing and Its Application on Online Marketing Campaign

A lot of online marketing campaigns aim to promote user interaction. The average treatment effect (ATE) of campaign strategies need to be monitored throughout the campaign. A/B testing is usually conducted for such needs, whereas the existence of user interaction can introduce interference to normal A/B testing. With the help of link prediction, we design a network A/B testing method LinkLouvain to minimize graph interference and it gives an accurate and sound estimate of the campaign's ATE. In this paper, we analyze the network A/B testing problem under a real-world online marketing campaign, describe our proposed LinkLouvain method, and evaluate it on real-world data. Our method achieves significant performance compared with others and is deployed in the online marketing campaign.Comment: Accepted by the Industrial & Practitioner Track of the 26th International Conference on Database Systems for Advanced Applications (DASFAA 2021

Q-switching of waveguide lasers based on graphene/WS_2 van der Waals heterostructure

We report on the operation of passively -switched waveguide lasers at 1 ÎĽm wavelength based on a graphene/WS2 heterostructure as a saturable absorber (SA). The gain medium is a crystalline Nd:YVO4 cladding waveguide produced by femtosecond laser writing. The nanosecond waveguide laser operation at 1064 nm has been realized with the maximum average output power of 275 mW and slope efficiency of 37%. In comparison with the systems based on single WS2 or graphene SA, the lasing -switched by a graphene/WS2 heterostructure SA possesses advantages of a higher pulse energy and enhanced slope efficiency, indicating the promising applications of van der Waals heterostructures for ultrafast photonic device111 Project of China (B13029); Strategic Priority Research Program of CAS (XDB16030700); Key Research Program of Frontier Science of CAS (QYZDB-SSW-JSC041); National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) (11274203, 61522510); STCSM Excellent Academic Leader of Shanghai (17XD1403900)
