This paper, based on the theoretical framework of urban organic renewal, takes Chengdu as a case study to delve into the interrelationship between urban renewal and the construction of a tourism demonstration zone. Through literature research, field investigations, and analysis, it reveals the impact of urban renewal on the development of tourism demonstration zones and proposes feasible policy recommendations aimed at promoting the sustainable development of Chengdu’s urban area and the prosperity of its tourism industry. This study has significant innovative and practical value in both academic theory and policy implementation

    Assessing Phonon Coherence Using Spectroscopy

As a fundamental physical quantity of thermal phonons, temporal coherence participates in a broad range of thermal and phononic processes, while a clear methodology for the measurement of phonon coherence is still lacking. In this Lettter, we derive a theoretical model for the experimental exploration of phonon coherence based on spectroscopy, which is then validated by comparison with Brillouin light scattering data and direct molecular dynamic simulations of confined modes in nanostructures. The proposed model highlights that confined modes exhibit a pronounced wavelike behavior characterized by a higher ratio of coherence time to lifetime. The dependence of phonon coherence on system size is also demonstrated from spectroscopy data. The proposed theory allows for reassessing data of conventional spectroscopy to yield coherence times, which are essential for the understanding and the estimation of phonon characteristics and heat transport in solids in general.Comment: 4 pages, 3 figure

Tobacco Mosaic Virus Based Thin Film Sensor for Detection of Volatile Organic Compounds

    Get PDF
A thin film sensor for the detection of volatile organic compounds (VOC) was fabricated by deposition of oligo-aniline grafted tobacco mosaic virus (TMV) onto a glass substrate. The oligo-aniline motifs were conjugated onto the TMV surface by a traditional diazonium coupling reaction to tyrosine residues followed by Cu(I) catalyzed alkyne-azide cycloaddition (CuAAC) reaction. The modified TMV was easily fabricated into a thin film by directly drop coating onto a glass substrate. Upon integration of the glass substrate into a prototypical device, the virus-based thin film exhibited good sensitivity and selectivity toward ethanol and methanol vapour
