    On Synchronization in a Lattice Model of Pulse-Coupled Oscillators

    We analyze the collective behavior of a lattice model of pulse-coupled oscillators. By means of computer simulations we find the relation between the intrinsic dynamics of each member of the population and their mutual interaction that ensures, in a general context, the existence of a fully synchronized regime. This condition turns out to be the same than the obtained for the globally coupled population. When the condition is not completely satisfied we find different spatial structures.     Полиморфизм генов ITGA4, ITGB7, TNFα, IL10 у пациентов с язвенным колитом бурятской этнической группы

    Background: Worldwide studies of genetic material, polymorphisms and prognostic gene models for immune-associated disorders have established differences in trans-ethnic population cohorts, which determine phenotypic and other characteristics of the course of these diseases. Ulcerative colitis (UC) is a  chronic immune inflammation of the colon mucosa. More than 100 gene polymorphisms associated with multiple integrated cross-talks have been discovered.Aim: To study the ITGA4, ITGB7, TNFα, IL10 genes polymorphisms in patients with ulcerative colitis belonging to the Buryat ethnic group and living in Irkutsk region, Buryat Republic and Transbaikal territory.Materials and methods: The study included a total of 49 subjects, 24 of them being UC patients and 25 healthy volunteers, compatible in gender, age and ethnic background. The molecular genetic analysis by real time polymerase chain reaction was performed with DNA samples from whole peripheral blood leucocytes.Results: The differences in the prevalence of the ITGA4(rs1143674, rs1449263), ITGB7(rs11574532), TNFα(rs1800629), and IL10(rs1800871) genotypes were non-significant (р0.05). The IL10(rs1800896) GG homozygote patients had higher odds ratio (OR) for UC compared to the carriers of other polymorphisms (OR 24; 95%  confidence interval (CI) 2.783–206.969; р=0.001). The AA homozygote type was less frequent among UC patients compared to healthy volunteers (OR 0.17; 95%  CI 0.049–0.589; р=0.004). The analysis of genotype frequency distribution of all studied genes including clinical characteristics of the disease showed no significant results (р0.05). The binary logistic regression analysis has shown that IL10(rs1800896)GG was an UC predictor with sensitivity of 96% and specificity of 50%  (AUC 0.760; 95% CI 0.621–0.899; p=0.002; standard error 0.71).Conclusion: The GG genotype of IL10(rs1800896) is a  UC predictor, whereas the AA genotype is significantly more prevalent among healthy subjects of the Buryat cohort. Актуальность. Проводимые в мире исследования генетического материала, вариантов полиморфизма и  прогностических моделей генов, связанных с  иммуно-ассоциированными заболеваниями, выявили различия в  трансэтнических когортах населения, обусловливающие фенотипические и другие особенности течения таких заболеваний. Язвенный колит (ЯК) представляет собой хроническое иммунное воспаление слизистой оболочки толстой кишки. При ЯК обнаружено более 100 полиморфизмов генов, ассоциированных с  многофакторными интегральными взаимодействиями.Цель  – изучить полиморфизм генов ITGA4(rs1143674, rs1449263), ITGB7(rs11574532), TNFα(rs1800629), IL10(rs1800871, rs1800896) у больных ЯК – представителей бурятской этнической группы, родившихся и проживающих на территории Иркутской области, Республики Бурятия и Забайкальского края.Материал и  методы. В  исследование включено 49  человек: пациенты с  ЯК (n=24) и  здоровые добровольцы (n=25), сопоставимые по полу, возрасту и  этнической принадлежности. Материалом для молекулярно-генетического анализа методом полимеразной цепной реакции в режиме реального времени служили образцы ДНК из лейкоцитов цельной крови.Результаты. Различия распространения генотипов ITGA4(rs1143674, rs1449263), ITGB7(rs11574532), TNFα(rs1800629), IL10(rs1800871) между группами не достигали статистической значимости (р0,05). У гомозигот IL10(rs1800896) GG шансы развития ЯК были выше по сравнению с  носителями других полиморфных вариантов (отношение шансов (ОШ) 24; 95% доверительный интервал (ДИ) 2,783–206,969; р=0,001). Гомозиготы АА реже встречались среди пациентов по сравнению со здоровым контролем (ОШ 0,17; 95% ДИ 0,049–0,589; р=0,004). Анализ распределения частот генотипов всех исследуемых генов с  учетом клинических особенностей заболевания не показал статистически значимых результатов (р0,05). По результатам проведенной бинарной логистической регрессии установлено: генотип IL10(rs1800896) GG был предиктором ЯК с  чувствительностью 96% и специфичностью 50% (AUC 0,760; 95% ДИ 0,621–0,899; p=0,002; стандартная ошибка 0,71).Заключение. Гомозиготный вариант IL10(rs1800896)GG выступает предиктором развития ЯК, а  гомозиготы АА статистически значимо чаще встречаются среди здоровых лиц бурятской когорты.

    Features Of The Phase Transformations In Titanium-containing Zinc Aluminosilicate Glasses Doped With Cobalt Oxide

    We demonstrated the efficiency of the Raman spectroscopy method in the study of the process of the formation of the amorphous zinc aluminotitanate (ZAT) phase during the phase decomposition of the titanium-containing zinc aluminosilicate glasses doped with cobalt oxide. The quantitative dependences of the variation of the intensity of the Raman bands characteristic for amorphous and crystalline phases on the temperature of the thermal treatment and the cobalt oxide concentration have been obtained. The speed of phase decomposition with the separation of the nanosize crystals of zinc aluminate spinel (gahnite) and ZAT phase increases at low-temperature thermal treatments with increasing cobalt oxide concentration. The addition of cobalt oxide increases the amount of the amorphous ZAT phase separated during phase decomposition and increases its thermal stability during high-temperature treatments. It has been shown that the Co2+ ions enter the zinc aluminate spinel (gahnite) crystals precipitated during phase decomposition.     In the process of working with anatomical material supplied to the Animal Disease Diagnostic Center of the Primorskaya State Agricultural Academy, in the order of forensic examinations, a characteristic feature consisting in differences in the structure of the organs of animals living in natural habitat and in captivity was revealed. Evolutionary forces are reflected in the adaptability of animals to survive in the wild, honing adaptive characteristics and sweeping away all unnecessary things. Studying previously published works on the topic in question, it can be noted that the heart of animals in their natural habitat is slender, with a strong left side and relatively weak right side. As a rule, trabecular structures in such animals are smoothed, maximally “built” into the walls of the heart chambers. It is not often possible to find crossbeams as an element of myoendocardial formations in wild animals. However, for the internal structures of the human heart and domesticated animal species, this is not uncommon. There is an opinion that additional muscle-trabecular elements, such as: muscle crossbeams [3]; additional papillary muscles; pectinate muscles of the atria, located in a storey network - take part in the intensification of heart contractions and the creation of a swirling blood flow, providing its translational-rotational movement. This process can be considered an adaptive response to a decrease in physical activity during the evolution of a species, formed from birth to death of an organism. In the course of postmortem examinations, we examined the heart of a four-year-old female Amur tiger raised in captivity with the distinctive features of myoendocardial formations in comparison with other individuals of this species

    PbS quantum-dot-doped glass for efficient passive mode locking in a CWYb : KYW laser

    Efficient passive mode locking of a diode-pumped Yb3+ : KY(WO4)(2) laser using a PbS quantum-dot-doped saturable absorber is described. Pulses of 2.6 ps at around 1 mu m were generated at a pulse repetition frequency of 99 MHz with an average output power of 250 mW. A saturation fluence of 15 mu J/cm(2) and a fast temporal decay of 6 ps were measured in this quantum-dot-doped glass

    Розроблено математичну модель маршрутизатора мультисервісної мережі, що враховує динаміку його характеристик у процесі розподілу інформаційних потоків і дозволяє провести моделювання процесу маршрутизації. Проведено аналіз характеристик пристроїв маршрутизації: характеристик обслуговування (процесорів) і характеристик очікування обслуговування (буфера). Запропоновано аналітичні співвідношення для їх розрахунку, що базуються на аналізі інформаційних потоків мультисервісних мереж.Разработана математическая модель маршрутизатора мультисервисной сети, которая учитывает динамику его характеристик в процессе распределения информационных потоков и позволяет провести моделирование процесса маршрутизации. Проведен анализ характеристик устройств маршрутизации: характеристик обслуживания (процессоров) и характеристик ожидания обслуживания (буфера). Предложены аналитические выражения для их расчета, которые базируются на анализе информационных потоков мультисервисных сетей.The mathematical model of a multiservice network tracer, which takes into account dynamics of its characteristics during distribution of information flows and allows to lead modeling process of routing, is developed. The analysis of the characteristics of tracing devices is spent: the characteristics of service (processors) and characteristics of expectation of service (buffer). The analytical expressions for their account are offered. They are based on the analysis of information flows of multiservice networks
