    Research on the Inducing Mechanism of Customers’ Impulsive Buying in “Double 11” Shopping Carnival

    In recent years, impulse buying is increasingly common in China. Online impulse buying (OIB) has drawn increasing scholarly attention across disciplines. This study focuses on the impulse buying of “Double 11” Shopping Carnival, taking “Double 11” Shopping Carnival consumers as research object, through related theory, secondary data analysis and social network analysis, exploring the relationship between marketing stimulation, impulse buying and emotional response, and establish a theoretical model and propose hypotheses. Data were obtained form 325 consumers. According to the statistical analysis result, the paper demonstrates that the theoretical model verifies the consumers’ impulsive buying can make a mediating effect between marketing stimulation and happy emotion, emotion of guilty, regretful emotion. In summary, this study made some marketing suggestions for the enterprises, including the utility of different ways to cause different kinds of emotions after impulsive buying for consumers

    Frequency Equation of Flexural Vibrating Cantilever Beam Considering the Rotary Inertial Moment of an Attached Mass

    The major goal of this paper is to address the derivation of the frequency equation of flexural vibrating cantilever beam considering the bending moment generated by an additional mass at the free end of beam, not just the shear force. It is a transcendental equation with two unambiguous physical meaning parameters. And the influence of the two parameters on the characteristics of frequency and shape mode was made. The results show that the inertial moment of the mass has the significant effect on the natural frequency and the shape mode. And it is more reasonable using this frequency equation to analyze vibration and measure modulus

    Preparation of Monolayer MoS\u3csub\u3e2\u3c/sub\u3e Quantum Dots using Temporally Shaped Femtosecond Laser Ablation of Bulk MoS\u3csub\u3e2\u3c/sub\u3e Targets in Water

    Zero-dimensional MoS2 quantum dots (QDs) possess distinct physical and chemical properties, which have garnered them considerable attention and facilitates their use in a broad range of applications. In this study, we prepared monolayer MoS2 QDs using temporally shaped femtosecond laser ablation of bulk MoS2 targets in water. The morphology, crystal structures, chemical, and optical properties of the MoS2 QDs were characterized by transmission electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, Raman spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, UV–vis absorption spectra, and photoluminescence spectra. The analysis results show that highly pure, uniform, and monolayer MoS2 QDs can be successfully prepared. Moreover, by temporally shaping a conventional single pulse into a two-subpulse train, the production rate of MoS2 nanomaterials (including nanosheets, nanoparticles, and QDs) and the ratio of small size MoS2 QDs can be substantially improved. The underlying mechanism is a combination of multilevel photoexfoliation of monolayer MoS2 and water photoionization–enhanced light absorption. The as-prepared MoS2 QDs exhibit excellent electrocatalytic activity for hydrogen evolution reactions because of the abundant active edge sites, high specific surface area, and excellent electrical conductivity. Thus, this study provides a simple and green alternative strategy for the preparation of monolayer QDs of transition metal dichalcogenides or other layered materials

    Altered fecal microbiome and correlations of the metabolome with plasma metabolites in dairy cows with left displaced abomasum

    Left displaced abomasum (LDA) in postpartum dairy cows contributes to significant economic losses. Dairy cows with LDA undergo excessive lipid mobilization and insulin resistance. Although gut dysbiosis is implicated, little is known about the role of the gut microbiota in the abnormal metabolic processes of LDA. To investigate the functional links among microbiota, metabolites, and disease phenotypes in LDA, we performed 16S rDNA gene amplicon sequencing and liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) of fecal samples from cows with LDA (n = 10) and healthy cows (n = 10). Plasma marker profiling was synchronously analyzed. In the LDA event, gut microbiota composition and fecal metabolome were shifted in circulation with an amino acid pool deficit in dairy cows. Compared with the healthy cows, salicylic acid derived from microbiota catabolism was decreased in the LDA cows, which negatively correlated with Akkermansia, Prevotella, non-esterified fatty acid (NEFA), and ÎČ-hydroxybutyric acid (BHBA) levels. Conversely, fecal taurolithocholic acid levels were increased in cows with LDA. Based on integrated analysis with the plasma metabolome, eight genera and eight metabolites were associated with LDA. Of note, the increases in Akkermansia and Oscillospira abundances were negatively correlated with the decreases in 4-pyridoxic acid and cytidine levels, and positively correlated with the increases in NEFA and BHBA levels in amino acid deficit, indicating pyridoxal metabolism-associated gut dysbiosis and lipolysis. Changes in branched-chain amino acids implicated novel host-microbial metabolic pathways involving lipolysis and insulin resistance in cows with LDA. Overall, these results suggest an interplay between host and gut microbes contributing to LDA pathogenesis

    Identification of six new susceptibility loci for invasive epithelial ovarian cancer.

    Genome-wide association studies (GWAS) have identified 12 epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) susceptibility alleles. The pattern of association at these loci is consistent in BRCA1 and BRCA2 mutation carriers who are at high risk of EOC. After imputation to 1000 Genomes Project data, we assessed associations of 11 million genetic variants with EOC risk from 15,437 cases unselected for family history and 30,845 controls and from 15,252 BRCA1 mutation carriers and 8,211 BRCA2 mutation carriers (3,096 with ovarian cancer), and we combined the results in a meta-analysis. This new study design yielded increased statistical power, leading to the discovery of six new EOC susceptibility loci. Variants at 1p36 (nearest gene, WNT4), 4q26 (SYNPO2), 9q34.2 (ABO) and 17q11.2 (ATAD5) were associated with EOC risk, and at 1p34.3 (RSPO1) and 6p22.1 (GPX6) variants were specifically associated with the serous EOC subtype, all with P < 5 × 10(-8).     Finishing the euchromatic sequence of the human genome

    The sequence of the human genome encodes the genetic instructions for human physiology, as well as rich information about human evolution. In 2001, the International Human Genome Sequencing Consortium reported a draft sequence of the euchromatic portion of the human genome. Since then, the international collaboration has worked to convert this draft into a genome sequence with high accuracy and nearly complete coverage. Here, we report the result of this finishing process. The current genome sequence (Build 35) contains 2.85 billion nucleotides interrupted by only 341 gaps. It covers ∌99% of the euchromatic genome and is accurate to an error rate of ∌1 event per 100,000 bases. Many of the remaining euchromatic gaps are associated with segmental duplications and will require focused work with new methods. The near-complete sequence, the first for a vertebrate, greatly improves the precision of biological analyses of the human genome including studies of gene number, birth and death. Notably, the human enome seems to encode only 20,000-25,000 protein-coding genes. The genome sequence reported here should serve as a firm foundation for biomedical research in the decades ahead

    Shear performance assessment of sand-coated GFRP perforated connectors embedded in concrete

    In order to evaluate the shear performance of sand-coated glass fiber-reinforced polymer (GFRP) perforated connectors (SCGPC) embedded in concrete, 8 pull-out tests were conducted. Finite element (FE) analysis considering GFRP failure and cohesion between GFRP and concrete of SCGPC were conducted for parametric analysis. Effects of surface treatment, hole's radius, embedment length, and multi holes were examined. The test and theoretical analysis revealed that the strength of SCGPC is considerably larger than GFRP Perforated Connector (GPC). The stiffness of SCGPC is determined by the adhesion between concrete and GFRP. When GFRP plate's thickness is less than the critical thickness, the embedment length plays a major role in the strength of SCGPC. When embedment length is less than the effective bond length, the shear strength of SCGPC is governed by both the adhesion and GPC's shear capacity; otherwise, the strength of SCGPC is governed by the adhesion strength. Furthermore, an empirical equation was suggested to predict the shear strength of SCGPC. The equation involves the failure mechanism of both bond and GPC and deals the strength of SCGPC into two ranges according to the embedment length. Good agreement was achieved between the strength prediction by the suggested equation and the parametric analysis result
